You've got 250g of walnuts, not 200g.
The man told you "deux cent cinquante" which is 250 in French.
It's a good idea to learn to count in French. That would be a great help for you in the future, as the vast majority of mechants use those numbers when communicating with foreigners. Just a tip from a concerned Moroccan 😁😊
And one more thing, try not to purchase anything until you've looked around first, to get a better idea of the prices and get the best deals possible. (This is for everything, not just fruits and veggies)
Stay safe! ✌️
Thanks for the tips. I’ve been procrastinating the French numbers but it makes sense to just learn and then master all business talk in Morocco. I would walk around but in the end maybe only save 20 dirham on the fruits and veggies. Quality can vary with just 1 dirham a kilo for example.
Just learn arabic or tamazight, if you stay there for long, not everyone speaks frensh
they speak to you in french supposing you come from there xD, your arabic is pretty good actually ! welcome in morocco guys
Chokran, yes there are not many Americans here, more French!
You are welcome to morocco Land of hospitality and kindness
Happy, hospitable people.
Beautiful documentary Kevin you and you lovely wife... So much respect to film our beautiful country Morocco. 🇲🇦💯🙏🎥🤗🎖️📸
Thank you! We are doing our best!
Everything is fresh in Morocco.
Fresh is the best!
Not everything is Fresh in Morocco. Have you heard of the massive refrigeration plants in Berchid that supply produce to big cities? و أسواق الجملةDon’t get sucked into the delusion. Don’t also get sucked into the other delusion that everything is organic. I come from a family of farmers. Let me just sum it up and say that we use some of the worst herbicides and pesticides China has to offer.
@@unknown-user as local i must say true but not as you described, you can easly get cheap local fresh suplies
@@unknown-user wow i didnt know it was that bad, please could you send me links to this information, i would love to stay educated on the matter since i only go to morocco on summer break and so i cannot seek help from my relatives there as much as i would like to.

all i wanna do is go back but have enough money to settle in morocco

Inchallah!!
it is a lot more cheaper than that when we actually live in normal days without the lockdown and Ramadan. Also take into account that you are in a far away village so it is normal to see these skyrocketed prices (as of me a Moroccan citizen :))
Stay Safe
Yes, these are special circumstances for sure.

The wholesale market is in Inezgane i really recommend you to visit it to see something really different really big quantities of food. it is one of the biggest supplier of different african coutries (Mauritania , senegal, ivorycost , gambia , Mali, Burkinafasou .. and there you find olso the trucks that the ship from Inezgane to whole thoose african countries.
Wow that sounds amazing, Ive been to inezgane, but never saw all the food there! That sounds super cool, it would be a good video if possible.
@@MorAcro i think in the time of corona the market of Inzegane would offer its full colours ,but I would be intersted how it is right know I can confirm every statement from the comment above .

@@MorAcro Yep for sure ! Ask about the Wholesale market of veggies and fruit "Souk Jemla" in arabic, it is on your right on the road between inezgane and Ait melloul
Just wanted to point out that those veggies and fruits are all produced locally in that area.
I’m sure. Except I saw some mangoes with stickers.
@@MorAcro
stickers doesn't mean that it is imported, it means it was meant to be exported but it didn't,
it's coz of covid none of our fruits are exported, and if you find sticker just buy it, it s surely good quality
@@jbiloajbiloa It doesn't mean it's local either
@@moncefberradaelazizi7632
if you mean by local, moroccan yes it means, mangos are not imported, this year we had plenty of mangos everywhere in morocco, and we started to export, now here in kenitra 1 kilo mangos is worth 1 dollar.
it can't be this cheap if it was imported.
There from Texas... 🙃
at 5:13 he told you "quatre" which means 4 in French. In amazigh "krad" means 3 and "kouz" means four.
