So it doesn't quite look like your vibe, but I'm surprised you didn't try the Arroyo Seco Trail, Colorado Street or La Loma birdges, Caltech campus, The Huntington, The Norton Simon, Gamble House when in Pasadena. They're all fairly close to Colorado Blvd.
