I think more hate on T1 decision to swap out Guma ( probably right before the match) is what make most viewers hate is the answer. Like I also believe Smash better than most of the LCK adc, but immediately swap out Guma just because a few under performance games seems to show that T1 treat their player like tools or gears that can easily change and no need to consider their will. Actually I'm hating on them even more now as a T1 fan,. Got nothing against Smash, but you cannot tell me that T1 has played this clean in the past year and a half in the LCK, why now? Because they know they don't have Guma as adc and they gotta pull their weight.

Not really he made a post that he was shocked he was going to be benched. He's also grinding solo q like 16 hours plus a day. He is actually really sad since this is a benching and permanent. Guma might not get a chance to play again for a few months.

I think Smash being put into T1's main roster is a brilliant tactical move. Completely takes weight and pressure off of Doran. Doran, as it was, was the replacement for arguably the best top of all time and the member who "broke up" ZOFGK if you see it that way. But also implementing Smash into the roster here and there allows him to not be "the new guy" and it takes the spotlight off of him.
It definitely is and also having Guma working hard to improve his skillset is a net positive as well imo. T1 will need him in the future when it matters
Please allow me to just get this off my chest here because i'm tired of seeing people argue in the KR community but cannot be fussed to type there in Korean that's not my first language. The problem a lot of KR fans have is not Smash (a lot have appreciated him on the CL team especially when he played alongside Rekkles), fans are glad to have 2 great ADCs on the team and it makes sense to give Smash the opportunity during a low stakes cup - the problem here is the unbarred hate train that Guma is receiving and the very negative reaction that Korean "regular league fans" are showing to what they're calling "Guma mums and idol-style fans" who are upset at the org. 1. Guma has always bore the brunt of hate comments because he isn't a flashy hyper carry ADC and T1 is well aware of this situation - there is a reason his stream chats are always restricted over the years. He is currently receiving even more hate comments than before because of this "benching" situation but no action has been taken against these Antis who claim to be T1 fans (I sometimes wish I don't read Korean so I don't have to see the nasty things people say). The problem is not the team trying Smash on the roster, it's the lack of protection they have put in place for Guma. It's very unfortunate that he's put in a situation to experience this level of hate, even as a professional athlete. Yes, he's overcome the hate train countless times which probably comes with the nature of the job, but at some point, the guy is going to have enough. And considering Kkoma came back saying he wants to be a good "mental coach", I hope he's living up to that and creating a healthy environment for Guma. 2. The "regular league fans" are calling "Guma mums and idol-style fans" dramatic and unable to understand that Esports is a sport and that this is normal. Sure it's normal in sports but if the organisation is going to market the roster as a "family", as a specific 5-player team of "DOFGK" and this marketing tactic has worked tremendously well - fans buying out goods, events, membership subscriptions, POP - then I don't think anyone should be blaming fans for being upset that a "member of the family" is not being allowed to play. If you make someone spend money on, for lack of a better word, a product - then you ought to deliver that claimed product. Had it been announced before the season, not the match, but the SEASON, that the team will be playing as a Six Men team, this would have been a bit easier of a pill to swallow. But now that the organisation has pocketed all the annual membership fees, POP fees, Goods revenue, to suddenly make fans accept that this is the new reality without much communication, I think it is only normal that fans would be confused and thrown for a loop when this isn't the "product" that they had previously paid for. And to use Guma's catchphrases on all the marketing touchpoints only to bench him, I think that's in poor taste. It's easy for the "regular league fans" to say this situation is normal, because they are hardly the ones spending money on the organisation so that they're in the green. "Idol-style fans" bring money and that isn't something the organisation should only appreciate when it's convenient. Sure, there will come a day when the players DOFGK will eventually be replaced by new blood but hopefully that'll happen when they've been given enough time on the field during a season, and not 2 games into a new season right out of winning WORLDS twice and going to finals thrice. And if they're benching Guma because he isn't performing then the org should at the very least give a proper statement about the situation (even a simple formality like "we're giving Guma time to practise" or "please support both our ADCs") rather than a lacklustre "we're trying different things during the LCK Cup, there wasn't much to announce" then not updating on Guma's status even once. I think fans deserve this much when they've bought into this BRAND that you've sold them. Communication is key and the reason why an organisation has a PR department. Ultimately, yes it's important as a sport org to win - and that's why Smash is now in the picture. Then perhaps the organisation needs to reconsider their marketing strategy around a specific roster. Because if they're going to market themself as a "family" then they'll be expected to follow through on that. I just hope fans can see where one another are coming from and where this is all getting a bit twisted - it didn't need to be like this. We can support both ADCs and the healthier environment that way would make it easier for them to improve too. Anyhoo, if you're reading this, please send Guma some love in whatever way you can - boy has been practising all day and night since.

I think people forget that a big part of the reason for T1 being profitable is bc the fans put their money where their mouth is to support the team; most orgs worldwide bleed money but fangirls and "kpop fans" actually keep their lights on and that's the reason the team markets itself like that... we even got a $70 lightstick now...

From these games you see that T1 is trying out comps with Smash's adc pool. You can see that he's a good Kaisa and Ez but little bit lacking in spacing, target selection and laning phase compared to Guma with Jinx and Cait. If both adc can become better they might become monsters.
That's not really true, the thing is Smash is far more similar to an ADC like JackeyLove. He will walk forward, he will flash forward and he will do the flashy play. Here he was playing a lot more careful, specially in the second game because there is literally an Akali perma targeting him even if Oner was giving them more trouble. He played really well around that
It honestly wouldn’t surprise me if Oner ends up being staying the longest of any of the members of ZOFGK. He hasn’t always been the most consistent but that guy has always made plays when it matters. He gets overshadowed because faker is faker but Oner at worlds is a monster

Everyone saying Guma not world class is sooo much just a hater. Not just a consistent performer, he has many moments clutching the game as well. He has proved in every aspect as well as stages, including worlds final 2022 where they lost ( he stole many important objectives ). His zeri and kaisa is not bad at all , watch the game before you just blindly follow other's opinions. As I research, his kaisa winrate is low as he mainly used it in 2021 ( when the roster is not completed, playing along side clozer, canna, ellim); msi 2022 and worlds 2022 he win both with kaisa; in 2023 he used a lot ( especially when faker was hurt ) so it affects the win rate greatly. Outside of that is the lost against Geng which i believe nothing he pick would result in a win actually. His zeri is also great ( he even has pentakills with it ) and has shown that he can carry with it. The only 'not that good' is the ezreal. I think you guys have undervalued guma greatly. If you don't know, zeus has always play very heavy damaged champions like TF, vayne, zeri top. So ofcourse t1 has to use their resources on him, as a result, guma does not receive a lot or any attention from oner at all. In 2023 , the oner on tribush is even a classic. However, even with this , him and keria both dominates lane and rarely lost. If you say that guma always lose lane you're just a hater. In the invincible year, i haven't seen them lost lane even one game. Aside from the fact that his lane partner is a prodigy, when keria drops form ( and I mean reallyyy drop form ), guma is still performing. He had shown that he has a champion ocean as well ( from EWC ). Not mentioning the fact that he has won worlds 2 times in a row ( 3 times worlds finalist ), saying he gets carried is just stupid . No he does not make game winning play ( as it does not require in his adc role ), but he has shown he can clutch games ( the 1v2 vs ruler and 369 ), the many Varus games,... And the most important thing about Guma is his attitude, he has a winner attitude, a faker one. He is superrr confident and has never lose hope. I even have seen faker shaked in games against Geng ( zyhonia ) or G2 in 2019 but with Guma, no. He is super loyal and has expressed his love for T1 so many times i have lost count. I don't think there exist another player that can say ' t1 never lost to lpl' or ' its gooddd' in front of so many. Yes I agree that he can be subbed out if his form is dipping ( which many say just 1,2 games can't say but i think they have scrims everyday so it shows there ) , but this is not the reason for the sudden guma is bad and he should leave. I loved Smash on T1A and I think he's amazing and super fun to watch. And since 2022 I've been mostly against T1. I like Faker, Zeus was cool but Guma specifically, there's something about him that held me from supporting T1. And now that Smash is in, I find myself wanting them to win more (except against DK)
Based on the Kpop fangirls confusion and attacks at kkoma it is obvious they don't even watch the game or know the format of the LCK cup. The round robin stage was already lost since last week and team baron had no way of winning (DNF and BFX were going to get absolutely cooked, HLE losing to DK was the cherry on top). Giving smash a chance against low tier teams is a good strat to both boost his confidence in LCKCL and motivates Guma to brush up on his faults: champ pool issues and getting caught during the mid game (no just because Guma has pentakills on champs like zeri does it mean his zeri is top tier). Complaining about buying tickets to a match between two teams and not getting to see a player is also very dumb. You are paying to watch the teams, not an individual player. ON THE OTHER HAND I agree that fanmeets and other team specific events SHOULD be announced beforehand if they change in some way (like they did on Twitter).

Love to see T1 plays good. Faker is such a legend and I will always support him, but young guys, earlier with Zeus, but these guys too, even if sometimes they have bad games, they always do the plan, commit to fights, objectives and do everything that can push one step closer to enemys nexus. And another good thing is that more and more teams can play like that today. Of course players are better individually, but in last 2-3 years level of team play, makro skyrocked. More and more often good team play can outshine one or two big stars, playing like top 1 in this position, in proffesonal games. Game is more and more complicated if you want to be very high level player, challenger or something like that. You need to play game very well and you have to know everything about the game, to understand it better than others. I respect esport pros a lot, I am to weak for that level of dedication. Thats why I like to watch and I like to watch players getting better and better. They in game usually do things which are smart, inteligent, they are fast and they are focused on the goal. High level of testosterone and good positive mascunility. Thats what men should do in peaceful times, compete, but without bad blood between players. We have to compete only to find who is better in something, not to humiliate or shame somebody. And they always learn from they mistakes. I was 33 years old when I have found that there are people who never learns from their mistakes. Whatever happened they never change. That was sad and I really want to help people who are like that. They need help to stop hurting themselves and others. But how help person who believes that he/she is never wrong and does not change even if their behaviour causes some disatvantages for them. Sometimes I have mood for changing the world for better. My biggest dream is to people just be better for each others. Maybe not like everybody, but respect and try to understand. If someone doesnt hurt anybody, we should respect him/her and their opinions. World can be a better place, we just need to learn to be better humans. And we need to be united. We can have different views, but we cannot be that much divided that we cannot be united agains evil. Today people often think that their side evil things are ok, but other side are bad. Inteligent person is always agaist evil things, behaviour, people even if this evil person is they closest one. That should be the rule, to be always agaist evil, when you feel something is bad. it is bad, you should not support that and you have to try to stop that, talk to that person, ask why they do what they do, maybe together you can find other way. I do not know when people started to accept bad things made from members of party they support, people of their religion, gender, sexuality, skin color, nationality, etnicity etc. Evil is always evil. @Caedrel I 100% agree it is a good thing to give Smash a try. I think my only issue is it feels bad for Guma, they made a big deal of signing everyone, then benched him so he is trapped on the team. I would bet he wouldn't have signed if he knew they were going to bench him nearly immediately. Every other point you make is 100% true, I think people are feeling bad for Guma as it feels he is getting pushed aside, but if Faker can be benched and come back better, then so can Guma.

When ez was broken and teams didn't care abt picking it away from them or banning it (personally I would also add ziggs to this list) and t1 seemed to have no answer to it sometimes, if smash is smoothing over that draft struggle for the team then I think that's cool I feel like, if not by the playoff portion, than by the time lck official regular season start (or even the 1st tournament if t1 end up winning the lck cup) Guma will be back and playing the rest of the year and then no one will even remember this in retrospect, short period of time he was out, again this is just my own speculation and maybe even cope, and I'm not trying to shut out others worried abt t1 not communicating anything at all and feeling unsure, but I have a more positive outlook The only real worry I would have is if going forward after fearless it turns out the adc meta is actually ez/kai'sa priority, but still I see Guma grinding them in soloQ rn, and I trust his practice will profit in the end

I just feel like Guma deserved a heads up because if it is a long-term bench that isn't impossible, he should have been given that info before getting locked into the contract. It is possible that they just trade in and out depending on the game. Side note, I've heard people like Dom and Ceadreal say if you're a T1 fan you should be all for this and that's fair i am for anything that gets T1 to perform better, but I'm only a T1 fan because of their players. If they team swapped all players for new players, I wouldn't care at all for how T1 does. I feel very few people care about the team as much as we care about Faker, Keria, Oner, and Guma. Replacing a piece of the team if it benefits the rest is fine, but they need to do right by the guy getting replaced. I typed this on my phone, so please forgive typos. 🙏
Bro when Faker got benched for easyhoon because easyhoon was playing a much better azir, faker literally came back out as the indisputable best azir in the world and has pretty much maintained that title with zero competition ever since. If Guma is getting benched for Smash, this should be a good thing for T1 fans, better performance in the short term, and in the long term once Guma is given a chance to cook up, he could pop back out as the clear cut best adc in the world.
Well there's not much stakes on the LCK Cup so letting rookies much desired experience against actual top-tier (for their region) players is a boon. Meanwhile, DKCL, the former juggernaughts of LCKCL are fourth in the CL Cup, above the KeSpa champs BRO CL lmao.
The real problem how T1 does its marketing of its T1 LoL team like its some kpop group, with all the merch, events (fanmeets, concerts, etc) and social media management. It gives the impression and expectation to fans that the team will remain the same throughout the season and no changes will be made. Had they not done this, it would have been much easier to handle this situation from both the orgs and fans side.
If T1 didn't have loyalty to their players, we would have T1 Ruler by now. Just think about it when people talk shit about T1. T1 also needs to think about winning and if this is what is needed, then let it be.

In what way does it reflect poorly on the org? Loyalty is a non factor. At the end of the day it’s about performance if you don’t perform you have to ensure that the org performs well. Subbing out Guma made sense so that he can get the strive back to be the best

I think Smash being put into T1's main roster is a brilliant tactical move. Completely takes weight and pressure off of Doran. Doran, as it was, was the replacement for arguably the best top of all time and the member who "broke up" ZOFGK if you see it that way. But also implementing Smash into the roster here and there allows him to not be "the new guy" and it takes the spotlight off of him.

Please allow me to just get this off my chest here because i'm tired of seeing people argue in the KR community but cannot be fussed to type there in Korean that's not my first language.
The problem a lot of KR fans have is not Smash (a lot have appreciated him on the CL team especially when he played alongside Rekkles), fans are glad to have 2 great ADCs on the team and it makes sense to give Smash the opportunity during a low stakes cup - the problem here is the unbarred hate train that Guma is receiving and the very negative reaction that Korean "regular league fans" are showing to what they're calling "Guma mums and idol-style fans" who are upset at the org.
1. Guma has always bore the brunt of hate comments because he isn't a flashy hyper carry ADC and T1 is well aware of this situation - there is a reason his stream chats are always restricted over the years. He is currently receiving even more hate comments than before because of this "benching" situation but no action has been taken against these Antis who claim to be T1 fans (I sometimes wish I don't read Korean so I don't have to see the nasty things people say). The problem is not the team trying Smash on the roster, it's the lack of protection they have put in place for Guma. It's very unfortunate that he's put in a situation to experience this level of hate, even as a professional athlete. Yes, he's overcome the hate train countless times which probably comes with the nature of the job, but at some point, the guy is going to have enough. And considering Kkoma came back saying he wants to be a good "mental coach", I hope he's living up to that and creating a healthy environment for Guma.
2. The "regular league fans" are calling "Guma mums and idol-style fans" dramatic and unable to understand that Esports is a sport and that this is normal. Sure it's normal in sports but if the organisation is going to market the roster as a "family", as a specific 5-player team of "DOFGK" and this marketing tactic has worked tremendously well - fans buying out goods, events, membership subscriptions, POP - then I don't think anyone should be blaming fans for being upset that a "member of the family" is not being allowed to play. If you make someone spend money on, for lack of a better word, a product - then you ought to deliver that claimed product. Had it been announced before the season, not the match, but the SEASON, that the team will be playing as a Six Men team, this would have been a bit easier of a pill to swallow. But now that the organisation has pocketed all the annual membership fees, POP fees, Goods revenue, to suddenly make fans accept that this is the new reality without much communication, I think it is only normal that fans would be confused and thrown for a loop when this isn't the "product" that they had previously paid for. And to use Guma's catchphrases on all the marketing touchpoints only to bench him, I think that's in poor taste. It's easy for the "regular league fans" to say this situation is normal, because they are hardly the ones spending money on the organisation so that they're in the green. "Idol-style fans" bring money and that isn't something the organisation should only appreciate when it's convenient.
Sure, there will come a day when the players DOFGK will eventually be replaced by new blood but hopefully that'll happen when they've been given enough time on the field during a season, and not 2 games into a new season right out of winning WORLDS twice and going to finals thrice. And if they're benching Guma because he isn't performing then the org should at the very least give a proper statement about the situation (even a simple formality like "we're giving Guma time to practise" or "please support both our ADCs") rather than a lacklustre "we're trying different things during the LCK Cup, there wasn't much to announce" then not updating on Guma's status even once. I think fans deserve this much when they've bought into this BRAND that you've sold them. Communication is key and the reason why an organisation has a PR department.
Ultimately, yes it's important as a sport org to win - and that's why Smash is now in the picture. Then perhaps the organisation needs to reconsider their marketing strategy around a specific roster. Because if they're going to market themself as a "family" then they'll be expected to follow through on that.
I just hope fans can see where one another are coming from and where this is all getting a bit twisted - it didn't need to be like this.
We can support both ADCs and the healthier environment that way would make it easier for them to improve too.
Anyhoo, if you're reading this, please send Guma some love in whatever way you can - boy has been practising all day and night since.

From these games you see that T1 is trying out comps with Smash's adc pool. You can see that he's a good Kaisa and Ez but little bit lacking in spacing, target selection and laning phase compared to Guma with Jinx and Cait.
If both adc can become better they might become monsters.
That's not really true, the thing is Smash is far more similar to an ADC like JackeyLove. He will walk forward, he will flash forward and he will do the flashy play. Here he was playing a lot more careful, specially in the second game because there is literally an Akali perma targeting him even if Oner was giving them more trouble. Everyone saying Guma not world class is sooo much just a hater. Not just a consistent performer, he has many moments clutching the game as well. He has proved in every aspect as well as stages, including worlds final 2022 where they lost ( he stole many important objectives ). His zeri and kaisa is not bad at all , watch the game before you just blindly follow other's opinions. As I research, his kaisa winrate is low as he mainly used it in 2021 ( when the roster is not completed, playing along side clozer, canna, ellim); msi 2022 and worlds 2022 he win both with kaisa; in 2023 he used a lot ( especially when faker was hurt ) so it affects the win rate greatly. Outside of that is the lost against Geng which i believe nothing he pick would result in a win actually. His zeri is also great ( he even has pentakills with it ) and has shown that he can carry with it. The only 'not that good' is the ezreal. I think you guys have undervalued guma greatly. If you don't know, zeus has always play very heavy damaged champions like TF, vayne, zeri top. So ofcourse t1 has to use their resources on him, as a result, guma does not receive a lot or any attention from oner at all. In 2023 , the oner on tribush is even a classic. However, even with this , him and keria both dominates lane and rarely lost. If you say that guma always lose lane you're just a hater. In the invincible year, i haven't seen them lost lane even one game. Aside from the fact that his lane partner is a prodigy, when keria drops form ( and I mean reallyyy drop form ), guma is still performing. He had shown that he has a champion ocean as well ( from EWC ). Not mentioning the fact that he has won worlds 2 times in a row ( 3 times worlds finalist ), saying he gets carried is just stupid . No he does not make game winning play ( as it does not require in his adc role ), but he has shown he can clutch games ( the 1v2 vs ruler and 369 ), the many Varus games,... And the most important thing about Guma is his attitude, he has a winner attitude, a faker one. He is superrr confident and has never lose hope. I loved Smash on T1A and I think he's amazing and super fun to watch. And since 2022 I've been mostly against T1. I like Faker, Zeus was cool but Guma specifically, there's something about him that held me from supporting T1. And now that Smash is in, I find myself wanting them to win more (except against DK)
Based on the Kpop fangirls confusion and attacks at kkoma it is obvious they don't even watch the game or know the format of the LCK cup. The round robin stage was already lost since last week and team baron had no way of winning (DNF and BFX were going to get absolutely cooked, HLE losing to DK was the cherry on top). Giving smash a chance against low tier teams is a good strat to both boost his confidence in LCKCL and motivates Guma to brush up on his faults: champ pool issues and getting caught during the mid game (no just because Guma has pentakills on champs like zeri does it mean his zeri is top tier). Complaining about buying tickets to a match between two teams and not getting to see a player is also very dumb. You are paying to watch the teams, not an individual player. ON THE OTHER HAND I agree that fanmeets and other team specific events SHOULD be announced beforehand if they change in some way (like they did on Twitter).

Love to see T1 plays good. Faker is such a legend and I will always support him, but young guys, earlier with Zeus, but these guys too, even if sometimes they have bad games, they always do the plan, commit to fights, objectives and do everything that can push one step closer to enemys nexus.
And another good thing is that more and more teams can play like that today. Of course players are better individually, but in last 2-3 years level of team play, makro skyrocked. More and more often good team play can outshine one or two big stars, playing like top 1 in this position, in proffesonal games.
Game is more and more complicated if you want to be very high level player, challenger or something like that. You need to play game very well and you have to know everything about the game, to understand it better than others. I respect esport pros a lot, I am to weak for that level of dedication. Thats why I like to watch and I like to watch players getting better and better. They in game usually do things which are smart, inteligent, they are fast and they are focused on the goal. High level of testosterone and good positive mascunility. Thats what men should do in peaceful times, compete, but without bad blood between players. We have to compete only to find who is better in something, not to humiliate or shame somebody.
And they always learn from they mistakes. I was 33 years old when I have found that there are people who never learns from their mistakes. Whatever happened they never change. That was sad and I really want to help people who are like that. They need help to stop hurting themselves and others. But how help person who believes that he/she is never wrong and does not change even if their behaviour causes some disatvantages for them.
Sometimes I have mood for changing the world for better. My biggest dream is to people just be better for each others. Maybe not like everybody, but respect and try to understand. If someone doesnt hurt anybody, we should respect him/her and their opinions. World can be a better place, we just need to learn to be better humans.
And we need to be united. We can have different views, but we cannot be that much divided that we cannot be united agains evil. Today people often think that their side evil things are ok, but other side are bad. Inteligent person is always agaist evil things, behaviour, people even if this evil person is they closest one. That should be the rule, to be always agaist evil, when you feel something is bad. it is bad, you should not support that and you have to try to stop that, talk to that person, ask why they do what they do, maybe together you can find other way.
I do not know when people started to accept bad things made from members of party they support, people of their religion, gender, sexuality, skin color, nationality, etnicity etc. Evil is always evil. We have to man up and be more honorable.
If you can, be better. Better than you yesterday. Always learn and adapt.

@Caedrel I 100% agree it is a good thing to give Smash a try. I think my only issue is it feels bad for Guma, they made a big deal of signing everyone, then benched him so he is trapped on the team. I would bet he wouldn't have signed if he knew they were going to bench him nearly immediately. Every other point you make is 100% true, I think people are feeling bad for Guma as it feels he is getting pushed aside, but if Faker can be benched and come back better, then so can Guma.

I feel like, if not by the playoff portion, than by the time lck official regular season start (or even the 1st tournament if t1 end up winning the lck cup) Guma will be back and playing the rest of the year and then no one will even remember this in retrospect, short period of time he was out, again this is just my own speculation and maybe even cope, and I'm not trying to shut out others worried abt t1 not communicating anything at all and feeling unsure, but I have a more positive outlook
The only real worry I would have is if going forward after fearless it turns out the adc meta is actually ez/kai'sa priority, but still I see Guma grinding them in soloQ rn, and I trust his practice will profit in the end
@alimac7374 i agree, Guma needs motivation to work on his champion pool. I just feel like Guma deserved a heads up because if it is a long-term bench that isn't impossible, he should have been given that info before getting locked into the contract. It is possible that they just trade in and out depending on the game.
Side note, I've heard people like Dom and Ceadreal say if you're a T1 fan you should be all for this and that's fair i am for anything that gets T1 to perform better, but I'm only a T1 fan because of their players. If they team swapped all players for new players, I wouldn't care at all for how T1 does. I feel very few people care about the team as much as we care about Faker, Keria, Oner, and Guma. Replacing a piece of the team if it benefits the rest is fine, but they need to do right by the guy getting replaced.

Bro when Faker got benched for easyhoon because easyhoon was playing a much better azir, faker literally came back out as the indisputable best azir in the world and has pretty much maintained that title with zero competition ever since. If Guma is getting benched for Smash, this should be a good thing for T1 fans, better performance in the short term, and in the long term once Guma is given a chance to cook up, he could pop back out as the clear cut best adc in the world.

The real problem how T1 does its marketing of its T1 LoL team like its some kpop group, with all the merch, events (fanmeets, concerts, etc) and social media management. It gives the impression and expectation to fans that the team will remain the same throughout the season and no changes will be made. Had they not done this, it would have been much easier to handle this situation from both the orgs and fans side.

Saying there's NO negative is absolutely cooked, you're benching our most (or second most) loyal player that reflects poorly AT THE VERY LEAST on the org to do him like that. The rest of the points are all valid yes, but saying there's no negative is insane.
In what way does it reflect poorly on the org? Loyalty is a non factor. At the end of the day it’s about performance if you don’t perform you have to ensure that the org performs well. Subbing out Guma made sense so that he can get the strive back to be the best
