For hardness setting press Reset when unit is off then press ON. Four flashes means very hard (factory setting). Cycle Reset button for Soft to Very Hard-One Flash, Two, Three and back to Four.

You don’t just drop cartridge into reservoir. You need to push it onto the spigot until it clicks.

I would like to know did the steam mop leave any streaks/ streak marks on your laminate floor once it dried?
No it didn't, if you use it on the right settings it's fine.
Should i get this or Vileda XXL steam cleaner.. Would really love fast reply as i need to order today!
I haven't used the Vileda, however they both do the same thing, go with whichever is cheaper.

Dear GrumpyMan and reviewers, I am looking for something to replace the traditional, old-school mop. Can I simply use this to "wash-up" my entire hardly dirty flat (cc. 100 m2 hard cover) without changing the micro-fiber? Or it's not designed to replace traditional washing up just to deal with smaller but heavily dirty areas? I'm wondering whether to buy this (Karcher SC 3 Upright) or Karcher FC 3 CORDLESS electric mop. Thanks!
Hi, it will clean it however you will need to change the pads in between.

The SC3 Upright is a steam mop only if you need something for above floor cleaning go with the normal SC3
Hi, is it normal if the microfibre and the floor are very wet in the end of the cleaning? Few drops of water fall out while steam comes.
Hi, drop's of steam are normal.
Occasionally the floor and the microfiber pad can get wetter than usual but not all the time.
See how you get on next few times if it keeps getting over wet contact Karcher.

This has got to be the worst steam mop that I have ever bought. It doesn't stand upright on its own, it's expensive, it's bulky....
The bissell steam mop I bought was much better than this one, but like many American products, it gave out in less than a year (I do a lot of cleaning).
I bought a haan steam mop in 2009 and that one is still working, but I gave it to my mom and I am having a hard time finding a proper replacement.
The steam cleaner looks and seems to be sooo crap . The price is a absolute joke .
