I have one and it’s fantastic. There is an art to using this (or any steam mop) if you want to disinfect properly as well as deep clean and leave the floors dry in 1-2 minutes, Karcher say to push and pull the mop no quicker than 12 inches (30cm) per second. This way, the surface of the floor is heated up so the moisture evaporates really quickly. Using it like a swiffer will leave them wet and won’t clean them as well. It’s also much less tiring that way.
Looking at buying one of these and firstly I'm amazed that in 3 years there hasn't been an updated one. Not because it needs it, but we all know what tech and appliance companies are like :) One question though (if anyone sees this) how well does it flex at the pivot to get around a toilet? One issue with a lot fo steam mops is that they wouldn't fit around my loo. Cheers
Hi. Just purchased this and grateful for your video , I can use it straight away now as its still in the box ,don't have to mess around with the instructions, Thank you good demonstration 👌👏👏🙂
@@GrumpyMansREVIEWS figured it out , the pin under the water tank looked like it had plastic over it , I scraped it off and it worked straight away....
What plastic bit did you remove as it doesn't state in instructions to remove anything? Mine is doing the same, just bought it today and just keeps buzzing when the trigger is pressed, no steam but can feel it heating up at the base. @@hhobbs01
Lots of watching a noisy mop not much recommendation or condemnation . I’ve a really old shark and it’s packed up steaming so I’m seriously looking for a new one no comment on how good or how bad this is .
It's bad, it leaves too much water behind. I hold the steam button for about 2-3 secs 2-3 times a minute, it doesn't matter, it makes little puddles all over the floor. I checked it and it doesn't leek, it's just a very bad product.

The manual didn't explain the buzzing sound and I thought mine was broken.
Thnx, you're a lifesaver !
Your very welcome!
@@GrumpyMansREVIEWS How long should the sound last as mine just doesn't start

Hi, thanks for explaining about the cartridge, it didn't explain very well in the manual whether you leave it in or not.
Great video review and a lot easier to understand than the rather long winded manual provided with the cleaner. Thank you. Allan.
Thank you much appreciated!

Glad you found the video useful!
Can this be used on tiled walls in the bathroom?
Thank you for the demonstration and review. Would you also use it on sealed parquet?
How long does the descaler cartridge last?
Hi ive changed the descaling cartridge in the SC2, but now its not working? What have i done wrong. Thank you
@@nikkihall8629 If the red light has gone off, it should work. Just keep trying, the descaling cartridge needs to have 50% water in it to work.
@GrumpyMansREVIEWS ok thank you so much, I'll try that 😊
How would this compare to the Bissell steam mop? Is this stick type SC2 easier to mop the floor than the SC3?
They both about the same.
Hi my mop is red only flashing
What wrong ?Do you know
@@ShweNadi-n3r You need to replace your descaling cartridge the one in the bottle.
Can you use it on wood floors? I feel its too hard to swipe on the wood floor.. Has anyone experienced it?
Hi on my mop only red light flashing. Steam is not working do you know what’s wrong with the mop?
Put the descaling container in again.
Thanks sweetie i really appreciate. Its really good how you said you can use it on the sofa
Do I have to keep the trigger pushed in all the time?
To release steam, yes you do.
Thank you 🙏
May I ask if you need to empty the water tank after each mop? Or you can leave it in till the next day when you use again?
I leave it, in all my steam cleaners.
The instruction manual says if you leave the water in place longer than 2 months you should empty it out as it can putrify
Gracias. Que es el ruido que se oye?
Hi, thanks for a great review, how long does the descaler tube last for the SC2.
It depends on how often you use it and what the water is like in your area, we live in a soft water area.
It says the product detail it can be used on carpets? What's you're opinion?
Yes it can however you'll need to purchase an accessory. That's included in the SC3
How often do you change descale filter?
We live in a soft water area, so haven't changed it yet.
One question when the thing starts blinking red do u need to buy a new cartige like online? Or what do u do with it
Yes normal it does mean the cartridge needs replacing.
How often do you need a new one once a year?
It depends how often you use it. I live in a soft water area, I don't need to replace mine.
@@GrumpyMansREVIEWS Ok thanks for your help I’m buying one soon :)
Can I use acessories from another Karcher steam cleaner? For instance, steam turbo brush?
It's unlikely they'll fit.
sorry to bother you but out of all hoovers he has bought which would be the best for everyday use portable easy to carry around?
Hi this is a good one.
th-cam.com/video/YWtydZhqXdQ/w-d-xo.html
Sorry one more question, is this very loud when in use? From the demo, it appears quite noisy. Thanks!
Hi, it's not that loud every now and then it will give a short burst of steam that's a bit loud.
Thanks for a really good & helpful video just ordered myself one
Thank you for your kind comment!
How does this compare to Leifheit Clean Tenso steam mop?
Sorry no idea, as I haven't used the other one.
Do you know if it can be use on walls?
No it can not be used on walls.
Do you have to constantly press the trigger? How the trigger works?
You only press the trigger when you need steam.
A great demonstration, 😊thank you
Thank you!
That did clean really well.
Indeed it did.
Why is the steam not constant?
Because I'm releasing the trigger, to much steam over wets the floors.
This will be nice. Because when I need to mop. I’ll know how to use it
Glad you found the video useful!
Thanks I didnt know its so loud...
Why can’t you use this on vinyl floors?
You can. I use it on my vinyl floor and it works like a charm.
Excellent review great product 👍👍
Thank you much appreciated.
Thanks for the great review
Thank you for your support, really appreciate it!
Hello. Is it necessary to put in the descaling cartridge?
Yes.
Nie bylo pokazane ze pojemnik został napelniony woda.. Czy sama woda wysrarczy czy potrzebny jest plyn
Mine just continues buzzing no matter how long I hold the button.....
That's not right, something's wrong, contact Karcher.
@@GrumpyMansREVIEWS figured it out , the pin under the water tank looked like it had plastic over it , I scraped it off and it worked straight away....
So does mine. It has since I got it. Despite the continuous noise it used to steam. Now it won't steam at all. I've only had it about 6 months

The pads are crap! They do not stick very well, 1 minute into using the pad rolls off underneath, I will be returning for a refund. Do not recommend
