I love when people talk about these new cards at these price ranges when reality is different. Start adding words MSRP to reviews because that feels like a scam when majority videos I watch don't say it. I would love to get 5080 for 1k but reality is that it will be closer to 1.4-2k which is sad because instead of me upgrading to 5080 I have to get something cheaper because of meta chasers.
I didn’t throw my boxes away but then they started to stack up and become a nuisance… well.. I ended up throwing all the boxes away and I regretted it since I ended up selling my gaming laptop.

No way to tell if it's on purpose here or not though, but it is unlikely because they would have to be sitting on whole truckloads sitting in a warehouse somewhere that they are holding back for a time. It would just be a very weird tactic for them.

If NVIDIA wanted to have "eco friendly" packaging, it would include a return shipping label for your last gen card with a generous trade in program. Then they could reuse and recycle the chips vs. having them eventually end up in a landfill.
Bro... Last gen cards are reused normally no less than 2 times, via regular used market. A buyback would be horrible for consumers, forcing everyone to buy from nvidia directly

To be real though, I can't recall the last time I even seen my 4090 spike to 450w. Native 4k DLAA seems to get it towards that direction, but in many cases, using DLSS 3 seems to tame the power usage quite a bit. I was OCing yesterday to 2.9Ghz on my 4090 for Cyberpunk yesterday and it was spiking to at most 425w and that's full PT, RR, 4k Quality, FG, etc. Unless you are benchmarking though, the average gamer will probably have a difficult time getting to 575w-800w, but it probably needs to go that high for benchmarks. Taking into account CPU bottlenecks, or generating frames, I doubt many get a 5090 to 575w if just gaming (benchmarks will though). Non owners of these GPUs often think a 4090 is non stop running at 450w when most the time a game won't take it beyond 400w, and it doesn't boost clock non stop, so often time it runs mostly in the 300w+ if hitting RT cores, tensor cores, SMs, etc.
Generator and air conditioning because the 800W is actually enough to heat up a small room even at Winter.. (well, not a fast heating, but you are also playing longer like just 5 mins..)

Just wanted to say the majority of US home room circuits are only rated for 15a, about 1800 watts. MANY older homes (pre-1990s) are stepped to 110v with 100 amp panels, that's closer 1600 watts. That's for a whole room. Heck I was renting a place not long ago with fuses, and cloth wrapped wires in the walls -.- 800 watts on the gpu alone will draw 6.5 - 7 amps from a 120v circuit depending on how efficient the PSU is. You actually have a solid chance of flipping the breaker if you run a vacuum cleaner or air conditioner in the same room one of these PCs doing a stress test. There's a reason US customers can't buy the 2000w PSU Thermaltake showed at CES.
In live in 15A house built in year 2000 and I owned an RTX 3090 and if a 1500W heater is on in the other room which is my mum’s always use in the winter, the circuit breaker would trip. Owning an RTX 5090 would make this worse for sure Now next thing nvidia will say that 20A house is required to run RTX 5090

But you also have to be in an area where you're getting very good broadband but also stable too. I've tried GF Now. And I get 40mbps down and 10 up. They said my WiFi is not stable and laggy. IMO I would rather save for 40 series or purchase a 2nd hand GPU. Different use cases for everyone I guess

That speaker setup on your chair is 600 bucks. A year ago I bought a Steelseries Arena 9 for 550. Its an actual, real 5.1 surround, 5 big speakers and an enormous sub. The system was specifically developed for gaming and comes with a ton of additional features. I never had this good sound with my games before. Im not saying the cololight thing is bad, but its hilariously overpriced for what it is, and in comparison with what you can get with less money.
I'm in Arizona. Even if I could afford a 5090 800w heater, it would bankrupt me with an electricity bill in the winter. Great news for those of you in the cold north though.

Kingpin is not going to be in a brand name of a GPU anymore because no company would want an individual to have an influence on their product line. They still can hire him, but he would have to work silently behind the scene as any other engineers. Hence why he has not been able to secure a deal since the fall of EVGA because he wants the Kingpin name on the product.
The reason that they're shipping a less powerful 5090 is probably because that 800w prototype had issues. Why else would they abandon it? It's the enthusiast level card. The people who buy the 5090 would have been glad to purchase it and Nvidia know that.
Basically for Tik Tok in the USA the app is legal to use because no administration will uphold the ban but still nothing stopping companies getting fines from the supreme court for distrabutiong the App still as per the new law, so if you still have the App installed then your good but Apple & Google are not taking any risks on this.
A significant difference of 13% more CUDA cores? 5090 has 33% more CUDA cores than 4090 + 33% more power draw for a net gain of 30-33% raster. The 40% power increase tells me that they aren't able to put that many more CUDA cores on the 5090 Ti and that's why they are trying to compensate with more perhaps a higher clock speed. I wouldn't expect anything more than 15-20% over 5090 in raster for 1000 USD more. Great deal, I am sold already...
I fully support a 5090 TITAN at 800w. Most people can't afford a Lambo, but we're glad they exist. It gives one dreams as a child, and goals as an adult.

I would LOVE to see an AMD Kingpin card!! Dang that would be amazing. I personally doubt he'd do Intel, at least not until they are truly on par with at least AMD. Plus, the future of Arc is so precarious, I can totally see him going with AMD. A PNY AMD Kingpin card would be so sick.
I still LOVE my Galax 4090 and it runs my games great! Microsoft Flight Sim in VR is AWSOME! Maybe the 60 series but for now, I'm happy with what I have, and I thank GOD for it.
I do think there is a possibility of an “apple” effect. If these new cards are in eco friendly packaging then other card makers and board partners could follow.
The problem with that, even the 4090 had 450W TDP, but already used 600W+ in benchmarks (there was an article when even measured 618W power consumption.. Nvidia did it just to show us a bigger number at the end.. what is basically a cheating, you will never get that performance in any game, where the average power consumption will be 150W lower..)
Ive been talking for a while about a card that needs more "umph" to psu. Wile I was breaking down the numbers of the official statement of Nvidia charts. I found the second day, something interesting. People called me crazy and a schizo for calling it out. But what I said, if the numbers are true. This is not the correct benchmarks we see. From my numbers, this benchmark need 720w to work. It was after I did the math to figure out the TFlops, I noticed that it could not be atchived by the original 5090. I started to question.. How is it possible to gain this amount of power on a 600w cable. Then I stated we might need a bigger PSU of 1200w if those benchmarks are true. To over to are we going to see a 2pin AIB card? Or is it a TI or Titan card benchmark we are looking at? Im kind of happy we get the news now. Due I was hammered left and right by the community about this one. For me, numbers dont lie braking it down. But I also wondered if it was fake benchmarks, or something we dont know about. But people being people on the internet, even you are right about stuff. My guess is that some of the benchmarks where mixed up with "the prototype card".
Unless AMD puts out something that competes at the top end, a Kingpin would just be expensive and wouldnt compete at its price point. A 9070 Kingpin wont compete with a 5080 (normal, super or ti)
If Nvidia releases a 5090ti they will lose the majority of the big spender customers. The 90 series is supposed to be the top tier. NVIDIA decided that when they scrapped the TI series...

The 50 series is priced for the 40 series to co exist. Just like how the 40 series was priced so that they can coexist with the 30 series.
Except they aren't actually co-existing the 4070 Ti and up are all discontinued... they only place you'll find those is resellers and used market.

You get good 5.1 headset with surround sound for 150$. And no matter what they want me to see, a headset will always sound better because of the sound isolation and immersion it provides.

That prototype is for the RTX 6090. Nvidia stopped making the advance version of their flagship product since the 4090 due to no competition.

Kingpin is not going to be in a brand name of a GPU anymore because no company would want an individual to have an influence on their product line. They still can hire him, but he would have to work silently behind the scene as any other engineers. Hence why he has not been able to secure a deal since the fall of EVGA because he wants the Kingpin name on the product.
The reason that they're shipping a less powerful 5090 is probably because that 800w prototype had issues. Why else would they abandon it? It's the enthusiast level card. The people who buy the 5090 would have been glad to purchase it and Nvidia know that.
Basically for Tik Tok in the USA the app is legal to use because no administration will uphold the ban but still nothing stopping companies getting fines from the supreme court for distrabutiong the App still as per the new law, so if you still have the App installed then your good but Apple & Google are not taking any risks on this.

A significant difference of 13% more CUDA cores? 5090 has 33% more CUDA cores than 4090 + 33% more power draw for a net gain of 30-33% raster.
The 40% power increase tells me that they aren't able to put that many more CUDA cores on the 5090 Ti and that's why they are trying to compensate with more perhaps a higher clock speed. I wouldn't expect anything more than 15-20% over 5090 in raster for 1000 USD more. Great deal, I am sold already...

I would LOVE to see an AMD Kingpin card!! Dang that would be amazing. I personally doubt he'd do Intel, at least not until they are truly on par with at least AMD. Plus, the future of Arc is so precarious, I can totally see him going with AMD. A PNY AMD Kingpin card would be so sick.

The problem with that, even the 4090 had 450W TDP, but already used 600W+ in benchmarks (there was an article when even measured 618W power consumption.. Nvidia did it just to show us a bigger number at the end.. what is basically a cheating, you will never get that performance in any game, where the average power consumption will be 150W lower..)

Ive been talking for a while about a card that needs more "umph" to psu. Wile I was breaking down the numbers of the official statement of Nvidia charts. I found the second day, something interesting. People called me crazy and a schizo for calling it out. But what I said, if the numbers are true. This is not the correct benchmarks we see. From my numbers, this benchmark need 720w to work. It was after I did the math to figure out the TFlops, I noticed that it could not be atchived by the original 5090. I started to question.. How is it possible to gain this amount of power on a 600w cable. Then I stated we might need a bigger PSU of 1200w if those benchmarks are true. To over to are we going to see a 2pin AIB card? Or is it a TI or Titan card benchmark we are looking at? Im kind of happy we get the news now. Due I was hammered left and right by the community about this one. For me, numbers dont lie braking it down. But I also wondered if it was fake benchmarks, or something we dont know about. But people being people on the internet, even you are right about stuff. My guess is that some of the benchmarks where mixed up with "the prototype card".
Unless AMD puts out something that competes at the top end, a Kingpin would just be expensive and wouldnt compete at its price point. A 9070 Kingpin wont compete with a 5080 (normal, super or ti)
