I have heard the Dragonfly needs perfect days to fly, not to much gusty wind or it would shake like a leaf. And that it slow, but I like that. It 's made for climbing and that . . . it does.
Hey DirkDucat - thanks for commenting. did you see the end of the video where we had to hold down the Dragonfly due to high wind? The wind sock was almost horizontal and the flying was rock solid. +DirkDucat Being designed to tow hang gliders to altitude, the Dragonfly is usually required to fly in strong turbulent thermal conditions. Other ultralights with the same wing loading will be tossed around just as much as the Dragonfly, the difference being the D/fly's large control surfaces help maintain control in these conditions. Also,it is up to 50% stronger than the average, with 6g positive and 4g negative rating. Having said all that, I fly for the enjoyment of simply being in the air, and I avoid flying on days when it's likely for me to be tossed around like a rag doll.
