Yes and no. Easier-to-use tools and simpler methods reduce the workloadk, but that is a double-edged sword. While I is great for the developer, in easing their job... It is also bad for the players in that it allows people who are unwilling to invest any real effort to create something that can fool them into thinking it is a quality game. Look at how many attempts at games exist using free assets and Unreal Engine or Unity. Now imagine that you couldn't recognize the free assets to avoid the games, because they were custom to each game.... Imagine voice actors were giving away their time for free (AI voicees you can't tell aren't Human) On one side, you hae the reality that UE's adaptation of Kismet into their own visual scripting system that allows creating games without any code.... giving a uy the ability to create the #1 selling game on the apple store for months, without ever learning to code. On the other, it was yet another endless runner amid a flood of them.
@@looniper3551 Most of us can't animate anything and Mixamo doesn't always have what we need so this could be useful when trying to develop a game. No one wants to dump money into a dead end.
BROOO THIS IS AMAZING, i am an extreme loser in animation cuz I started only a few weeks ago but this is just a cheat code lol, thank you for this resource bro!!
I think my favorite thing about this is the joyless dancing. It's like laughing without smiling. Really cool vid and neat features in unreal, too, though.
THANK YOU!, i wasnt looking and this video autoplayed and had the show retargeting options i needed for a set of animations that looked horror films like you said.
3:06 I like how the foot is actually planted and doesn't slide when turning. Is this completely free for Single Camera and the paid plan is only for dual camera?
How well does it work with untypical body proportions? I am really tall, but I want to do motion capture for a stocky dwarf. Would adjusting the height of the mocap be possible?
Is it also possible do make animations with weapons? Lets say I am holding a green screen stick in my hand or something and do sword fighting animation.
I dont have game dev experience but i just wanted to know something. If motion capture becomes so easy then wouldn't root motion become better way to make player character animations?
These are all bad. Only convert very simple movements like waving and is completely useless for any environment. Its actually faster and better to directly animate a mesh waving.
The transition from video footage to 3D animation is seamless.
This is insaneeeee!! Thanks man the future of game development looks so bright with all the ai tools

Depends, it helpful to have root motion for some animations like attacking ones
Hey ! How do I do this with characters from the unreal engine market place?
when i make a montage and use a key to play the animation the animation breaks
