- Hi everyone! After a lot of contemplating, I finally decided to go ahead and dye my hair black! This was not an easy job but I'm super glad I did it. I hope you guys enjoy the video and let me know what you guys think!

I’m about to dye my microlocs. I’ve only had them installed for 3 months but I’m also going to combine them to make small instant locs. I’m documenting my journey as well. Seeing your video encourages me to dye them myself.

I just died mine back I’ll never bleach mine again thought I liked it but just didn’t seem natural
I have starts on type 3 I’m trying to get texture and then to loc instead being so curly only 1 month but I think I need to bleach it or dye black to help loc it

Looks lovely!! I have a magenta color in my hair that I absolutely love & even when it grows out it justa looks like an ombre. Now I have gray hairs coming in so Im like I gotta do something about this! I'm only 33 I don't have time for grays lol. Im gonna go black too since it seems easier than working with bleach & lighter colors. I'll let you know how it goes!

Your hair came out soo good. My locs are red and I am ready to go back black. This video is super old so I hope you see my comment LOL . But do you have to constantly touch up the black so that the red doesn't come back or can I just dye my hair once with the black and be done with hair dye cause I am over it lol

I did a beautiful magenta mixed with red. And it actually came out a pretty plum color. It's so pretty but I miss my black locs. It's just something about black. So I'll be headed back to black tomorrow. I miss it

I had bright red Locs and I used jet black Adore semi permanent to cover. My hair looks black w a burgundy undertone. I was too nervous to use permanent since I used permanent to get blonde (I put semi red on afterwards)
I definitely had thought about doing that but didn’t want to deal with all the fading that Adore has

i am 4 months in my loc journey and i have soft hair and my locs havent matured i have bleached highlights but i want to dye it black will it cause damaging or effect my hair growth or loc process ? please reply
I’m not a stylist so I’m not quite sure, but my guess would be to wait until your hair is a little more mature so you won’t experience unraveling! but i also think that black dye won’t cause that much damage since it’s black.

After I rinsed this color out and the water ran clear until I applied the conditioner then the color started to bleed out like it wasn’t just clear. I continued to rinse until the water was clear again but it happened a second time when I applied shampoo and conditioner… any tips? I rinsed/washed for about 30 mins
Honestly the water will never be crystal clear. Just try to get it as clear as you can

Yes it begins to fade

Nope, just was a bit strong for my nose when applying it

Why was it so hard for you to decide? I thought black dye didn't hurt hair as much as bleach does. Anyways, I love how it looks on you

Scared to dye cuz I heard it’s bad for hair but I want to do this. Any advice?
If you’re too scared, I would just suggest going to the salon. It’ll be easier and definitely quicker lol, I lowkey wish I did but I wasn’t able to. But if you do it yourself just make sure you coat every loc thoroughly and rinse it out super well. Condition and just super hydrate your hair afterwards.
