Just so you know switching it to 1080p does not save battery. There have been several people who have done battery tests and the phone is actually built to be used on QHD so turning it to fhd actually drains more battery
@@crovian1985 the physical screen still has the same number of pixels and the hardware now needs to upscale the 1080p image to its native size. so you put more work into that. But i don't think it will consume as much energy as rendering everything at the native res.
When you choose QHD, it says "Heavy battery use". This statement is based on tests that the engineers did in the lab with precision instruments compared to "several" people, who probably believed they did not notice anything.
Hello, I am also experiencing the same problem. The device is heating up and the battery is draining quickly after the March update. I would like to know if this issue will be resolved in the next update. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
It might be related. You can try to clear your cache, and also check the Battery settings to see which apps are consuming the most resources. Here's directions for clearing your cache: Turn off the device Press and hold the Side key and the Volume Up button Release the Side key when the device turns on Keep holding the Volume Up button until the device enters Reboot Mode Press the Volume Down button to select Wipe cache partition Press the Side key Press the Volume Down button to select Yes Press the Side key The device will automatically reset and reboot
You can make screen resolution change in a routine If battery goes below or during night or sleep mode or routine reduce the resolution else have it at max. Same for refresh rate. It takes the battery backup to next level.
Wi-Fi 7 off! But all the other diagnostics you get with the with Connectivity Labs are amazing too! Great tips. I have tried the GPS routine. Finally got it to work with Android Auto where it turns on the GPS fast enough at the start. It's a great tip and will see how much batter gets saved as a result. A downside to this routine is that if the phone is lost, may not be able to find it without GPS and also the weather apps won't update in the background based upon your location. Probably the biggest battery saver is placing unused and apps that you don't need notifications, into deep sleep. The little rascals can't be churning in the background. Thanks again for the great video!
I've learned after putting out that this video that only the S24 Ultra has the wifi 7 option. All other models apparantly have wifi 6e. Sorry for not mentioning it here, I didn't realize it was a thing.
Hi Great video. Thanks, just quick question: How are you getting nearly 2 days on a full charge on battery, but mine on a full charge is saying 16 hours
Thanks Joe, I appreciate it. It could be a lot of factors. I don't use AOD and I always keep it in Light Performance mode. I barely notice a performance difference when it's enabled, and it seems to help with the battery life a lot. I rarely game these days, and I keep the brightness at around the 1/3 mark indoors, and it varies a lot outdoors. Other than that, I can't really think of anything special that I'm doing.
Hello, Really good video, thanks for the tips. Learned a bit more about routines, these look extremely usefull. A small observation regarding Battery protection, for the charge to only stop at 80% you actually need to chose the third option under Battery protection sub menu ( click on the name to enter the menu ) . Basic only does 95-100% slow charge , adaptive uses basic combining with sleep mode , and maximum always locks Battery charge to 80% Thank you and good luck !
Thanks for stopping by, and also for the info on the battery protection feature! I honestly haven't played around with it much, so thanks for your insight!
Does the intelligent wifi need location services turned to automatically connect to your home network or need the faster wifi scans? Mostly I just forget and use more cell data a lot for videos.
I remember when my s23 ultra was brand new on week 3 after adaptive battery learning and original one ui 5 version is came with. I was getting something like 9 to 15 hours a day w heavy use it was unbelievable. Unfortunately, I think due to excessive charging and perhaps lithium cycles I don't really get that anymore battery wise however it's still better than my s10 plus battery wise
They lithium based cells they use do start to degrade pretty fast when charged often. Hopefully it holds out for a few more years for you. Thanks for stopping by.
@MrDiyar-gp1vt after 9 to 15 hours something like 30 % heavy use it was unbelievable coming from my s10 plus but I don't get that anymore and I think it's time for battery replacement
@morm2173 I think you used super fast charging and did heavy game the phone became hot 🔥 something like these you hurt the battery that's why you don't get it anymore I think mine is pretty good from 100 to zero used total time 11 hours and half or more
Interesting. I just searched now from my S24 Ultra here in the US and it's still there. It's named Good Guardians - the new name of Galax... It's not available for all models and regions though. Thanks for stopping by.
Hmm, that's interesting. The only thing I can think of off the top of my head would be take them out of deep sleep, check for updates, then put them back to deep sleep. Not an elegant solution, but it should work after some trial and error. Thanks for stopping by.
For stuff like Find My Phone for smart tags, you'd definitely want to keep gps on. You can go to Settings, Apps, then in the 3 dot menu, Permissions Manager. There you'll see Location, and you can take a look at all of the apps that have used it on your phone to get a feel for things. Thanks for stopping by.
If you turn off location when app is not in use gps will turn off and that will mess up when u r using android auto. So I won't recommend to turn off location automatically option in routines.
No, it's not outdated. I actually downloaded it shortly before recording this video. I typically don't use it, but wanted to show that particular hint so folks know the app exists. I'm thinking it may not be available in your region if you don't see it. The full name in the Galaxy Store (now just called Store) is "Good Guardians - the new name of Galaxy Labs". Thanks for stopping by.
Hi, i got my s24 ultra a month ago. It was working fine. Suddenly, a few days ago my phone started getting hot, fast charging took too long, battery drain like crazy. Anyone experiencing this? Please advice
May be you got an update... I recommend u wipe catche partition. May be do that every time u get an update, too. Secondly, if it does warm up in a particular location, u may have a low signal reception at that location, May be work or home.
@maryannfernandez9536 did you just say you already rest the phone and still doing the same, or are you about to? And are u sure you do not have a netwrk signal issue like I mentioned, if your phone is overworking to stay connected it'll have heating issues and battery issues, to be sure, try using wifi for sometime and compare.
Hmm, it sounds like what others are mentioning - likely a bad update, or something is consuming a lot of resources suddenly in the background. I would hop in Device Care and see if it shows any issues, and you can also check the Battery settings to see what apps are bogging down your phone. If you do want to go all out and clear your cache, here's the instructions (stolen off google): Turn off the device Press and hold the Side key and the Volume Up button Release the Side key when the device turns on Keep holding the Volume Up button until the device enters Reboot Mode Press the Volume Down button to select Wipe cache partition Press the Side key Press the Volume Down button to select Yes Press the Side key The device will automatically reset and reboot
@RADERTECH Thanks a lot for your advice, I am unable to clear cache on my device despite trying the method given, perhaps a different software overseas I will be servicing my phone at the samsung Service Centre in singapore. Thanks once again😊😊
@quadriderhonda do the following Power off phone Plug phone via USB to PC or Mac Hold volume up+power until you see Samsung logo Use the volume keys to go to clean Cache option Press power button to select and again to select ok (to confirm the cache clear) Reboot the phone from the menu Done
That's how I roll, lol! This is for those that need to squeeze every last drop out of it. Sometimes work situations can be tough for folks. Thanks for stopping by.
I like it with OLED based panels like this because you'll get longer battery life since not all of the pixels are on all of the time. It's really personal preference thing though for this setting. Thanks for stopping by.
Only have my S22 Ultra my wifi is 99% never used cause I dont have home Wifi....so my wi fi power savings mode was grayed out...had to turn wifi on to be able to turn it on...and I dont have Wifi 7 toggle probably cause my device is old...But I figured out
Great, the option to disable Wi-Fi 7! Thanks friend 👍🏻
You're welcome, thanks for watching my friend, appreciate you.

Changed performance profile to LIGHT and didn't notice any slower apps opening or something... will see how long battery lasts now..
Awesome, hopefully it makes a little bit of a difference for you. Thanks for stopping by.
That multiple tap on the Intelligent WIFI is awesome! Great trick! Thanks!
Glad this was helpful, thanks for watching!

Great job! You just have a new friend in your channel.
Thank you so much!
Excellent video! Great help!

Great work, mate👏
I couldn't find good guardians anywhere😞

Search for fine lock
Tht app is no longer available to the device anymore so thts why
@@miguelcaluag455 That explains that then😜 cheers 🍻

Your power saving mode will only be on for about a minute if you have power saving mode set to turn off once it gets past 40%.
Huh? It will stay in power saving mode until the charge gets to 40 percent or above. Depends on where your battery is at. Thanks for stopping by
Great vid, thank you for this.

What's the battery widget you're using?
it's one of the 2 default battery widgets. You should see it listed under Battery in your default widgets. Thanks for stopping by.
You are thé best
You're too kind my friend, thank you!
Instead of install good guardian, made a routine when you put on ultra save battery mode on that schedule
Lots of options! Thanks for stopping by.
How about the screen refresh rate?

@RADERTECH what are proper charging habits to sustain battery ? Alot of contradictory information out there
