I think this song could be interpreted in many different ways, the way i took it is that they're talking about a person who hurt them in the past (probably a toxic relationship) and they were hurt to the point where they want to inflict that pain back on to the person who wronged them in the first place. I personally think it doesn't have to be a relationship, it could be anyone close to you but this song is probably talking about a romantic partner. It could also be interpreted as the two shadows concept which they went with in monster. Your other self, the shadow or "monster" within you wants to inflict harm on you, it could be the "good" side vs the "bad" side of yourself. Relating to the BTS map of the soul theory you were talking about, the shadows within a person feel supressed and neglected so they are trying to fight back or you know like the other comment said it could just be about bdsm lol. Just my personal interpretations, I'm sure other people interpreted it in different ways.
