Like I said in some of your previous videos, this kit has a lot of potential. I don't know why, but when I open your videos for the sound of the drumkit, the drumming always gets my attention. Its amazing!
Thank you for your nice feedback, much appreciated!
The kit looks sick 😀
Ralf is the best! Kind regards from the US!
Thank you! :-D
i'm not drummer but this is tempting.
Hey !
You just take the videos to a whole new level with your incredible drumming !
For a second i thought this was the td 27 live edition ;P
The day td 27 live edition gets released I will instantly buy it !
Hope there is one in the making and will be released soon !
Cheers from India !
Thank you very much! :)
Nice grooves 👍👍
cool stuff as usual! waiting for drummit 3/5 drum-tec live sound edition...
Roland should take notes on these sounds.
Pearl has done something weird with the toms on this kit - it's like the attack is too high or something. I still think its a nice all-in-one solution for someone but probably $1k too high. Ralf great as always.
Thank you Andrew! :)
Und drumtec mag ich auch
That bloke can play. I'm liking the kit. Not liking the price too much though.
Your drumming and the kit sounds great. How is the cymbal and drum response compared to Roland kits? Thanks.
Thank you very much! Triggering works nice with the kit, but the pads & cymbals feel rather "hard" and are actually very loud. Probably too loud for an appartment practice situation for example. Another point is, that there is no cross compatibility with any other brand like Roland, ATV, Yamaha and/or drum-tec, which limits down possibilities quite drastically.
You might check out the 100% Roland compatible drum-tec diabolo or Jam NG series for much more authentic playing feel & lower noise levels, they can be combined with any compatible module & cymbals in any custom kit configuration:

Waooooo que batería impresionante y tocas muy bien cuesta mucho me imagino verdad
Muchas gracias! You can find the price info over here:

Kind regards!
I was under the impression that the pearl emerge was a closed system. So you can use Roland pads with the emerge module? Great playing as always thanks.
Thanks Ray! Well it is compatible in some ways, but you couldn't replace for example the snare drum, which has a different trigger system & connection with two cables. The CY-12C worked well as a dual zone crash, the 6" fx pad is only single zone, and worked well too. If you want some more info on compatibility, please don't hesitate to get in touch through service@drum-tec.de!
@@drumtecTV -Thanks for the info very appreciated. This is good news that I can possibly use my spare roland cymbals and bt1 triggers with this kit. It could be on my radar now.
It does edge out the td-50 I don't think there's any doubt about that but so does every other module pretty much so ehh? It's on par with the strike not quite as good as the ad5 and 2box. I think pearl really needs to up the sample count on the snare and add some more normal sounds. There's barely 2 different usable snare/Tom sets here.
If I needed a bunch of percussion I'd just get a sample pad :)
hey love the kit design but i think the module looks like something that would be on a 300€ kit (even tho it sounds amazing) also, what's up with the clicks here ? i think it sounds cool but...
anyways, amazing video by drumtec everything is just so smooth, also incredible drumming :)
Thank you very much! :)
Are all 3 ACC inputs dual zone?
Don't understand why Pearl came up with another module instead of using the Mimic pro. This is their flagship model and should have their flagship module... Weird!
Hi Pietro, yes this indeed was a weird move by Pearl, probably because of different product development departments that were involved. Kind regards!
Do you have a demo using brushes on the snare and Tom’s? I thought I heard it was capable of doing brushwork like the wavedrum
There is no dedicated brush support on this pad in terms of the triggers. There is a kind of an acoustic pickup in the snare pad, which transmits the acoustic signal taken from the snare in addition to the triggered module sounds (which actually sounds somewhat distracting, as it is the sound of a mesh head obviously). Kind regards!
But you don’t sell the kit anymore…
Could you guys post a video on how to edit sounds with the Pearl E/merge? Roland, Mimic Pro and Alesis Strike are all fairly simple, and have different parameters. No one has made a video regarding this. And the difference in what the editing parameters do for the sounds. As well as setting the sensitivity and trigger settings.
Hi Thomas, the trigger settings in the MDL-1 module are super basic, not much to tweak or show there unfortunately. I am not sure about the sound editing features. Kind regards!
@@drumtecTV I did a blind sound test with 4 people that are very opinionated. 1st E/merge (#1) video, 2nd the comparison video of mimic pro (#2).. td50 (#3).. & strike pro (#4). They all chose #1 & #3. When I revealed the kits they where completely windblown
I did this test using your videos, and our churches sound system.
How much is shipping to the u.s.
Hi Ronnie, please get in touch through service@drum-tec.de for any further questions concerning the products and/or shipping. Kind regards!
drumtec is it possible to make a live sound edition for the Alesia dm10? please reply I'm a noob
Ich liebe diese marke spiele selber schlagzeug
Can I buy one emerge crash separately?
Please get in touch through service@drum-tec.de, I am not sure. Kind regards!
Iam just using my imagination, is it possible to download this kit to had it to my Alesis strike pro se please say yes and provide a link!!!
Hi Mathew, no there is no compatibility at all between different sound modules of different brands. Kind regards!
Will this drumkit ever be available? I thought it was a cool idea when it was announced, almost 3 years ago. Now Roland have released their VAD line and claimed their share so the pearl emerge and the gewa g9 are pointless. Outdated technology and no digital pads.
Hey Nick, the Pearl eMerge kit actually has been available for a while now already:
www.drum-tec.com/pearl-e/merge-em-53hb-e/hybrid
But you are right, the competition is pretty tough :) kind regards!
@@drumtecTV Then I guess no one is buying it because there's not a single "user" video review in TH-cam. Just stores showcasing the product.
@@dennislacroix9962 :-D
How many single input drums can you add to this base kit? Anybody know?
Hey Leirrie, you can find more info on the kit/module over here:

Kind regards!

Is there a way to make the bass drum compatible on a roland module?
Hi, as far as I know the Pearl bass drum is not available separately. Have you considered the 18" drum-tec diabolo series Real Feel bass drum, which is 100% Roland compatible, has a super authentic playing feel/rebound & is more silent than most other bass drum pads?

@@drumtecTV Sorry for commenting back so late, they just started selling the Pearl electronic bass drum separately in the USA, I live in Canada and believe me I love the products you make, It's a amazing, but living in Canada is expensive for me with the shipping costs. I do have intention some day to purchase the "drumtec real feel" mesh heads some day
