    Have you ever tried the Campbell's Golden Mushroom soup?! 😁 It's fantastic!! Especially with pork chops! It makes a super savory gravy. 🥰💜😋

      Such a lot of processed food....it looks quite a hotchpotch...sorry but I feel there are much healthier ways to feed a family.....everything from a packet or a tin. A shepherds pie is made from lamb...hence shepherds. A cottage pie has beef. Shepherds weren't big on cans of soup or adding milk.

      @@Krisaloo78 The heart is already the hardest working organ. Do we want to give it yet another task? And also, does it have measuring lines?

    • @Krisaloo78
      @Krisaloo78 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@emmel4fun Well...I guess the best way I can respond to this is to say you are correct, the heart is indeed the hardest working organ in our bodies. What a powerhouse it is!
      To offer you some clarity on my comment above...there are 2 ways the words "I measure with my heart" can be interpreted. The first would be literally. For example the statement "it's raining cats and dogs" to some might be interpreted as there are literally cats and dogs falling from the sky. As you know probably know that'd be a sight to see!
      There's also a second way that the statement "I measure with my heart" can be taken. The term for that is "figuratively". Going back to the "it's raining cats and dogs" theory...when you take this statement figuratively, you may have knowledge that it's a "saying" that means it's really raining hard! ☔
      In the case of "I measure with my heart" my personal interpretation of this statement is that Justine puts whatever amount of each ingredient that *SHE and her family* would prefer. There's also a second element to this statement I think is worth noting. I can't speak for Justine, but if I was to guess, she just plain loves what she does. 💖 And it makes her heart happy to share recipes with anyone that takes the time to watch. I have made many Justine recipes and there have been things I've just taken a guess and as far as measurements and done pretty good 👍🏻 Other things, not so much lol. Nonetheless, when I read her statement I found it endearing 🌟
      Sometimes there are different interpretations of things that vary for many reasons, whether it be age, culture or life experiences, and I'm sure there are more! We aren't all wired the same and that's ok. I try to be uplifting and respectful in times like this because I never know where people come from, or their life experiences. I interpreted Justine's statement as an expression of her love and passion for the work she does. I truly hope this helps you, and hope that you are blessed today with kindness in all your interactions, love, and know that you matter. And that you are worth it and you are enough. ✨💖🙏🏻

At the end of the day I think you and I could agree we enjoy the videos and recipes Justine shares with us! 💖 I certainly need all the help I can get in the kitchen 😂Thanks again and you have a great weekend too!

      The best mashed potatoes I have ever had are made from Idahoan dried potato flakes, & it comes in different flavours -- I prefer the plain, Original best. I swear, I will never peel another potato for mashed potatoes as long as this product is available -- it's that good. I find a little (1 tbsp. or so) is also great to slightly thicken cream soups if necessary, & misc. stews.

    I understand convenience and all but there is something to be said about using more wholesome ingredients over easy ingredients especially if you want to cut back the sodium. Also, a bag of potatoes is way cheaper than pre done potatoes and you know exactly what you're putting into your meal. Not trying to criticize, just saying that health and money are a concern for many people. You don't have to use the canned soups either, it's fairly simple to make those from scratch.

      @@debbielove5993 Well said. “Saving” money on GMO laden, highly processed food will more than double the costs of future health ramifications. There is a reason why they make food which costs more to produce, less “expensive”. I’d encourage folks to replicate the dishes but use whole, real foods. Also. Don’t buy into the sodium scare tactic. That’s also intentional. Sodium is crucial for our bodies to operate. It’s really impossible to consume too much pure salt. Most people don’t consume enough. Celtic sea salt. Regular table salt is full of fillers and crap, including glass. THIS is what damages the blood vessels and organs and makes us sick. It’s not sodium . That lie is another way they sell us pharmaceuticals to make us even sicker. Also, preshredded cheese is toxic. It contains by products form timber milling as anti - caking agents. Read labels and if you don’t know for sure what something is look it up. Plant cellulose “anti-caking” in shredded cheese is wood fiber. Shred your own. Don’t sell your health for convenience.

    I have a few suggestions for the last recipe with the box au gratin potatoes. I used to make those potatoes practically on a weekly basis 20 years ago, but not in the crockpot. They are quickly and easily made on the stovetop. Your package instructions will call for a lot of hot water and little milk...you used a lot of milk and no water. There's also a cheese packet included which you didn't use, so no need to use cheddar cheese soup. You could still add the ham and corn or other veggies. It will be done faster on the stove and the excess milk and cheddar cheese soup could be omitted to save money.
