The way i see it the "Monkeys paw" with Bringing back Cayde is that he isnt the "Great Cayde-6" that Crow was thinking of at that moment since he doesnt have his ghost, cant use the light and as far as we know he cant leave the inside of the traveler to help with anything else. Osiris lost his light but kept his scholars Brain so he isnt 100% useless and while Zavala cant go to the front lines (not like he has done fucking anything big recently kinda like Ikora) hes still a decent commander that can do Logistics Cayde was the Vanguard Member who went out there to fight the good fight with us and now that cant use the light for anything hes not what he used to be in Crows mind therefore Riven got to feed on that difference when the wish was made (actually since riven was a ghost did she even gain anything?)
My personal theory is that there genuinely is no monkeys paw. Riven is dead, she has absolutely no reason to do it, and at the end of the season of the wish she was reminded of Taranis, and we saved her eggs with no manipulation on our end. I genuinely think that riven gratned a wish as is this one time.

Taken ogres always have had knockback. They just are a rare enemy type that have only appeared maybe 10 times, give or take. If you played Reckoning, and remember the bridge encounter, you remember they had crazy knockback to counter Forsaken's power creep
The negative of Riven granting Crow's wish before she was gone is that the gap between his wish for Cayde to be here and reality was so vast that it can be used as a feast to feed her young still in their eggs that we spent last season collecting for her. His wish will sustain the new generation of Ahamkara until they're ready to hatch. That's the bad part, we just don't know how long it's going to take for that to be realized.
