The notebooks and cute pencil sharpener, what an amazing purchase! Craft paper notebooks just hit differently. 🥰 I really liked your idea of securing the rim with washi tape! In fact, immediately after I saw this, I did the same thing. 😅 It’s part of my penpal letter to you, so you will notice it when you see it. 😃
Decorating the cover was such a cute touch!! Even the rubber band is the perfect color. I never thought to decorate covers that already have a design, but now I see that it can make a huge difference and still look nice without being too much. The stickers you used are just adorable, and I didn’t even notice the green bear at first!! He is a little camouflage bear, who only appears when he wants you to see him. How magical! 🐻💕
Ara, I get so many ideas from you. I love notebooks, but I also hate that I can never use them up. I’m always collecting these pretty notebooks with no use for them, and then I feel guilty and angry at myself. Thanks to you, I’ve found different ways to use them. A notebook about my recent stationery purchases sounds really nice, actually! Or even one to practice with things I don’t normally use. Thank you for always opening my mind (just like your sticker says)! 🤩
Your handwriting is so perfect, I get a lot of satisfaction watching you write with a fountain pen! Along with the sound of the pen scraping the paper, it’s pure ASMR!! 🥰 Btw Ara, your cursive keeps getting better and better. I’m still amazed by the fact that you decided to learn and actually kept up with it. Now, you can safely say that you can write in cursive and are better than most. 😃
I have a question: On the left page, you attached some heavier items with texture, like a card with string and a wax seal. Do you think it would be difficult to use the left hand pages because of this? Will you just use that side for pasting things instead of writing? I’m interested to learn how you would work around this issue, because I simply wouldn’t know how to! 😃
I tried to pick stickers along with you at 5:50 but it was difficult to choose! I liked the one at 5:59 and 6:01 but then I saw the one you selected and it was definitely the best one! You brought out the different colors of that sticker so well with all the other elements that you added. What a perfect match, I just love it!! 😍
I love your home café! I think with a setup like this, you feel less tempted to go to a coffee shop. The way you prepared your iced coffee was just glorious. 🤩 You are a professional at every thing you do, Ara! Thank you for taking us along to the bookstore! I’ve heard of this store from another video, but thanks to you, I get to have a real tour. I really loved those scenes. 😍 I know it must not be easy filming in public, so I really appreciate you doing this! You filmed those scenes perfectly, it really made me feel like I was there with you. The vibes are just lovely! You must have gone there on a weekday morning since it was pretty quiet and empty. I think those are the best times to shop! There’s something very calming about morning shopping. You can take your time to browse through every little thing (and buy a lot of stuff). 🙊 If I lived in Korea, this would probably be my favorite book store to visit. 🥰 The book of cat paintings would be very tempting to buy! I don’t know how to explain the feeling that I get while looking at those pages, but it kind of takes me to a different world. By just looking at them, my imagination grows and I can almost feel like I’m being transported to that place. 🥰
There is such a wide selection of art books! The way you walked away holding the book you selected really made me smile, because I think I have the exact same reaction when I pick out a book. 😂 Kind of like, “ok this is overpriced but it’s cute and I need it in my life...let me walk away before I change my mind” (slowly walks away with excitement and a bit of guilt). I think I imagine that I look as cute and dainty as you while doing it, but I probably look a bit strange! 😆 I bought 4 books over the weekend because I was convinced that they would change my life, so this feeling is still fresh in my mind, haha!
A whole store dedicated to tarts?!? Omg this is my dream. I looove fruit tarts! When I was 6 years old, my mother came to my kindergarten on my birthday to drop off a cake and fruit tarts to celebrate with my class. I think this started my love affair for tarts. Every time I eat one, I’m reminded of this sweet memory. 🥰 Actually, I’m now realizing that with all the beautiful tart and dessert stationery that you’ve generously shared with me, I can write a journal entry about this memory! I could even have a whole notebook with just memories. Sometimes, I really feel like watching your videos is a way of studying. The more I watch, the more I make connections, learn and boost my imagination and creativity. I really don’t know how you do this, but I’m so, so grateful. 🙏🏼💕
I even learnt how to cut and eat tarts properly in public! 😂 I just bite into it directly, which is definitely not the most proper approach (but sooo good). 🤣 I don’t know how you managed to eat it without staining your beautiful outfit (it looks like you tilted your head up) but it must be appreciated, it’s very brave and commendable. 😜
Your watercolor skills are also very commendable! The way you painted those leaves, it was so smooth. 😍 I’m curious if you use ordinary or quality supplies because I read that good supplies make a huge difference. I really enjoy watercolors, but my skills are not very good and my paintings tend to be very flat because I find it very difficult to grasp the concept of shading. I know they always say to look at how the light hits an object, and see which parts are darker and lighter. For some reason, it’s very difficult for my mind to think this way and pick it out! I should probably practice like you if I want to perfect my skills. Btw, what colors did you mix to get that beautiful shade of orange? I tried to mix orange paint the other day, but it did not work out at all. 😂
It’s funny that you say you want to register for an art academy because I honestly believe that the bookstore should invite you to hold a workshop and demonstrate how to use their products. But that’s one of your many good qualities: you’re always pushing yourself to learn more and build your skills. 🥰 Still, I can definitely see that happening someday soon!! 💕

I first learned the word camouflage in your writing. Do you know how much you laughed after looking up the meaning in the dictionary?🤣🤣 As you said, the green bear is so similar to the color of the notebook that it is hard to see. I hesitated whether to put it on or not, but I just put it on as I could. I didn't want to separate it from other bears. You really are my English teacher. Regarding the question: Yes, I gave up on writing on the left page😹On this note, I wanted to put stickers and supplies that I didn't usually use and just stuck them in, like a junk journal. I thought of using both of them that way, but I still want to write something down, so I'm thinking of writing a letter on the right and a bumpy one on the left side only.
I am really happy that you love my home cafe. Actually, my house is a little far from the cafe. I have to walk about 20 minutes to get to the cafe. I'm really addicted to caffeine, so I have to drink coffee every day, but the cafe is far away and the price of coffee in Korea is relatively high. So I left the coffee machine at home and have been using it for over 5 years. I think the coffee machine price has already been picked up. Roseaoud, are you a coffee person too? Or a tea lover? I hope someday I can treat you to coffee or tea! Until then, I will try to make coffee or tea well. You always praise me, so you make me want to be a better person!💝

You like fruit tarts too! Thank you for sharing your memories of 6 years old. It is a very warm and cute memory. Actually, it hasn't been long since there was a tart shop in Korea. Western desserts have only started to become popular in recent years. But how many people don't like dessert?🤔 These days, most cafes sell tarts and macaroons together. The price is expensive, but I eat it sometimes and every time I get very happy🤗🤩💕Oh, and I actually got some tart powder on my clothes, and I ate it while shaking it off. 🙈😂

I also heard good supplies make a huge difference. The supplies I use are neither expensive nor cheap. I use tools that students generally use in class in Korea. Daiso tools are really cheap, but it's hard for beginners like me to use, so I'm using affordable paints and brushes. (Of course, Daiso paints don't matter to professionals who paint very well 😭) I mixed red and yellow to make orange. The more yellow you mix, the lighter orange it becomes. I regret why I didn't buy orange paint😂 haha

To answer your question, I am a coffee lover, too! I do like tea, and I used to enjoy it a lot more in the past, but when I realized that I had a huge collection of tea and didn’t drink it fast enough, I shifted more to coffee. 😅 There are so many coffee shops around me! Too many, in fact, and many more around the city that deliver. It’s also quite overpriced here but it’s very tempting. 😭 I set a rule for myself: if I want to buy coffee, I need to wake up early in the morning and make it a full experience. Thankfully for my wallet, I usually wake up just a few minutes before work. 😂🤣 Someday when we meet (and I’m sure that we will somehow, somewhere), you can treat me to a coffee and I’ll treat you to dessert!! 😍💖 (You have already treated me to tea, with the lovely tea bags that you sent me!!) 💕
