Here’s a good cooking tip:- Always sauté your onions first, then add other items like peppers, then your chicken etc
Great tip I would add if you have fine cut onion and rough cut onion the fine cut adds to thickening the sauce.
5:20 Its based on how the water flows, if its upstream it's where the water came from, downstream is where the water is going.
If your asking how do you tell throw something in the water and whatever way its starts to float thats downstream
Depends if the river is tidal... in which case the above is not true
Up/downstream = direction the water is travelling. If travelling with the flow, you're going downstream; if travelling against the flow, you're going upstream. Also, left/right bank are usually defined when travelling downstream too (so left hand bank is the bank on your left when you're travelling with the flow of the river).
Actually, it's a bit more complicated than that. It's not always following the direction of the stream. It's not true for tidal streams and rivers. You could go downstream, but against an incoming tide.

If your sitting relaxing in your boat and suddenly plummet to your death over a waterfall this is called going down stream ... If your paddling franticly for an hour and don't get anywhere, this is called going up stream.... hope this helps
It's so important to take care of your mental health, and you sharing that you see a therapist is just so good. I have anxiety. The therapist I am currently seeing is such a great fit. I am myself for the first time in so long. So great to see you enjoying life. I have nothing but appreciation and admiration for you. So many suffer in the shadows. Bringing this subject of anxiety and depression into the light and showing how you cope and now have your enjoyment of life back is vital.
great seeing some uk van lifers. this was our life for half a decade down in cornwall so lovely reminising!
We converted a 3.5t box luton & did stealth so just looked like an argos delivery van, a teal colour we hand painted with 4 inch roller. then when lifted up back roller there was a balcony/porch with stained glass windows & window box. we loved our Yihny lol!
Stand up padle board, awesome for your core and body and fun. we used to also attempt to surf so had our boards in there with our bike and snowboard which never got to use to go to europe. if we were more confident and knew more about filming, narrating and youtube would've been good for us. but we didn't and always the future and more adventures when we get our health back!

Nice one for picking up a paddle board! Just one thing - Google the j stroke and it'll save you constantly changing sides when you paddle! Then show Neil how to do it!!

You've got yourself a proper liveable van now, Will.
A tip for while using the chopping board, fold up a tea towel and place it underneath the board, this will stop the chopping board from moving while chopping up vegetables etc.

If you fancy a different recipe, try chicken penne Alfredo. Cook some chicken (thin cut strips) with a couple of chopped cloves of garlic. Heat up some double cream (single cream if you prefer) 200ml should do, add grated Parmesan to your taste and stir until thick. Add some fresh chopped parsley. Combine with your chicken and then add some cooked penne pasta 👌🏻

Great video, tip about parking with a weak handbrake - although useful with a decent one as well - whichever way your van rolls, leave it in the opposite gear. So if it rolls forwards, leave it in reverse. If it rolls backwards, leave it in 1st gear. Just remember to put the clutch in before you start the van (if it doesn't require you to do that anyway)
If you watch the last video you'll see he has a Bear Lock system that locks the van in reverse when parked.
I don't think the engine is suppose to turn in the opposite direction, so very bad tip,

Lovely stuff mate. A tip if you will. Get the oil hot before adding the meat as your basicly poaching it in the oil to a degree as it warms up
Sailing upstream is the same as sailing against the current and sailing downstream is the same as sailing with the current 👌🙏

Up/down stream.. Follows the direction of the water flow.. With the flow=down stream... Against the flow=up stream.

I would definitely recommend a Google Chrome Cast, it plugs into the back of the tv and then you can wirelessly stream anything off of your phone onto the tv!
I got mine in the Black Friday sales last year, but they tend to be quite cheap as is 😃

Upstream & Downstream is current, the direction of flow, watch the water flow, if you are paddling against the current you are paddling upstream, paddling in the same direction that the water is flowing, is paddling downstream. You didn’t mention it, but washing down from the back of the van, 👍👍👍. you have come a long way since you started the build. Keep sharing. 👍👏👏👏👏👏👍😎

Rivers start from mountains and rivers end when they go out to sea ,so rivers at the mountain are up stream rivers going out to sea down steam hope that helps ,when it becomes had to work out is when the water is still
Your handbrake probably just need tightening. Most rivers and seas are polluted with effluent now, your brave going into them lol.

Some places in Scotland said not overnight stays but 90% of the places I visited I stayed in lay-bys and car parks and it was great!

Quick paddling tip - learn to do a J-stroke! When you master it you will save a whole bunch of effort and you’ll be able to just paddle in a straight line. Plenty of videos available on how to do it. Good luck, great vid.

Another great video and good on you for tidying up the site. Water flows downstream and upstream is the opposite. When I go kayaking I always head upstream against the flow first and its more relaxing on the way back. One thing I've noticed in NZ is they put these no camping signs up but only enforce it when someone complains. So if you're tucked out of sight it should be okay. Mind you i have noticed the English seem to delight in making complaints lol.
I brushed into stinging nettles in 2003, Carrbridge, after 3 days I had to take to the age old remedy, pee. Your van looks stunning now.
