These two are hands down the best duo in carp fishing videos. The bantz is hilarious. I love it when i see them pop up in my latest TH-cam videos as I know I'm going to watch something they'll make me chuckle. Keep them coming lads and Fox should make you do more for our entertainment ❤🎉
@@MarkPitchers Don't fish for carp now but did enjoy the part with the Hardy rods and 300s, those rods will take a lot of abuse, still use my two Jim Gibbinson Clooper Carp rods when l'm piking.
Very interesting watch with content that took considerable preparation and thought . As usual Mark, Harry and team provide excellent content with plenty of laughs along the way . Being a comparatively old carper at 70 years I found the 50’s content the most pleasing. Fish were far less pressured then and even using basic tactics of the time Mark still caught and proved they still work . Well done fella 👍👍👍. Keep the entertainment coming Thank you so much.
Excellent challenge, for me the 80’s was the one for me as that’s when I fished using 1lb bottom creating hair rigs and using Tutti-frutty boilies. Also using Optonic bite alarms.
@@paulAnthony7236 i believe Kevin Roberts was up in that neck of the woods then, but yes, carpers up there were rarer than the carp. I was fishing what was a relatively quiet Colne Valley!! As a student i had lakes to myself mid week. In 1976 Harefield was deserted! Usually one other angler.
Brilliant video guys. Brought back great memories. 80's were probably my favourite. With all the new ideas going on. Mark could have got some herons! Still got mine! I think Mark should have spent a couple of nights on the infamous argos sun lounger to be authentic, under the brolly camp, great for slugs, lol. They were like sleeping on a rat trap!! Looking forward to the next challenge. Regards Pete.
Brilliant challenge. My Biggest uk carp 37lb in the early 90''s I caught on a cube of luncheon meat with hook pushed through the middle and held in place with a piece of sweetcorn to hold it in place on hook.Using my Silstar 2,25 tc rod and Mitchell free spool real which was the best bait running real I have ever owned sadly long gone. Happy memories and well done chaps thank you all.
Love watching your videos mark, you amd harry are brilliant together, stil waiting for that ross and Rachel moment lmao, keep up the good work guys cant wait for the next episode 😉
1990's we're most memorable, my dad used to take me to catch carp and I used to use a hair clip attached to a ping pong ball as a bobbin! So much fun for hours on end watching the bobbin like a hawk... My poor old dad used to say come on now it's getting late but I begged to stay longer. Thank you dad for getting me into fishing.❤
such a cool video, as much as i was born in 96 has and didn't start fishing till i was 7 but its always intriguing to see how the people who paved the way for us anglers in todays ages
The early 80s for me ,carp fever ,conoflex blank which is ringed myself (not my greatest)brolly, grandads deckchair and home made sliders ,cardinal 155 (couldn't stretch to a cardinal 55 on a y.t.s.Great days. Keep up the great work guys
Best one yet chaps! Thoroughly enjoyed it! Brought back memories carp fishing as a kid in the early 00’s but using my dads fishing tackle from the 60’s 😂
Great stuff. Had my first go at carp fishing in the 80`s on an old estate lake near Kettering. Free lined luncheon meat and used a wine cork with a hair grip through it secured to the ground for bite indication, they were happy times.
One of my favourite challenges so far. I am very new to carp fishing so was very interesting to see how it has developed over the years. 50s being favourite. 👍
I started carp fishing in the mid 80's and I was using luncheon meat, sweetcorn, bread and magots and casters. The one thing I did use and I thought you would use was swing or quiver tips with a bite board but no you went with the monkey climber. Those were the days, out on the bank then rush home to watch the legend Mr J Wilson go fishing. This challenge has brought back so many happy memory's Thank You.
Loved this one brought back a lot of memories of the early 80s for me when i started carping thanks for the memories the only thing missing was marks musings
Very entertaining, the Hardy glass Mk4 was my first proper carp rod, shame no SS6s appeared for the 70s. Scarily been chasing carps for 50 years now, where does the time go. Don't remember having a 'Harry alarm' to tell me I had a take when I started, only the salmon toffs had ghillies back then.
Great video, really enjoyed that. Probably not the smartest thing to post on a tackle companies page but I don’t think tackle has really moved on that much from the 90’s!!! Well done on the giveaway guys, nice touch.
Well done Paul what a great couple of seasons you’ve had and brilliant catch rate , having a fish named after your mother wicked she’d be proud of you if you ever come down south give me a shout and hopefully get a session with you hope your well and recovering from the depression mate
I love how Mark approaches fishing from different decades, but which decade do you all think has the best tackle? The 70s or the 90s? Let’s hear your thoughts!
Funny chalange enjoyed it a lot. But to be honest, I have missed some items like boiled potatoes and the tactics Chris Yates used over the years. Still use my over 40 years old Hardy fibretubes (11ft-2 1/4lb) mounted with an ABU Cardinal 54 😊. And sometime I will gear up the rods using my optonics
Did they not use bells as bobbins back in the day. I still use a clip on bell that sits abiut 18 inches from the rod tip when i use quiver tip using my John Wilsin River quiver deluxe rod. I can chill and donr have to constantly watch the rod and great for nights.
These youngsters didnt actually research what was avaialable in the early days. The Heron Bite alarm was around in the '50's. Used to use rubber float stops instead of beads in the late 60's and early 70's. Great stuff seeing proper carp rods in use. I only got rid of my Mitchell 300's a few years ago.
Great watch and some cracking mirrors well angled again mark and congrats on beating a challenge again finally and fishing with the floppy dicks and old school reels looked fun
Very entertaining same i fished since the 80s,so you wouldn't be fishing for carp in April would have been close season. You missed saying the old reel churners which we used to get on the Mitchell reels 😂
I started fishing in the mid sixties caught my first carp in 67 when tench fishing in a lake in Surrey it was only 7lb didn’t even know there were carp in the lake
got it wrong for the 00's for that era it involves getting an underwater camera roping of a section of the lake for weeks and heavily feeding it for weeks before even fishing it and having people running up the bank ground baiting for you while you sit in a bivvy looking at monitors talking in a mockney accent lol
Marks definitely one of my favourite TH-cam anglers,he’s a funny guy and a great angler!

Hour and 50 mins of the challange to watch 🔥🔥 what an absolute touch that is on a Sunday evening ❤
Anyone else waiting for Mark to accidentally put a foot wrong and fall off that submerged platform
Thanks a lot 😄

My favourite era was the 1990 's good times. Great challenge, interesting and fun.
GET IN THAT NET…..BOSH 😂😂 well done mark best videos on you tube loved that challenge
I would have to say the 70's was my favourite time for carp fishing. Quiet lakes, not many anglers, fish that were hardly caught. Magic days.
Late 70s I was the only one fishing for carp in the northeast as I know of and it was great peace and quiet.changed in the 80s.

Thought you were going to get your meat stuck in a Bush 😂😂 class mate and thank you Mark as I won a mega prize last week it help massively 🎉
I was fishing M1 the day you done this challenge. I wondered what was going on as I’d had the lake to myself for 24 hours.

Big up the Grafton Mere. Born n raised in Boroughbridge! Taught by the great Bob Sinclair!!!
That was such a great venue! Such fond memories of fishing there.
Back in the 70,s I caught 7 carp with crust with a 7ft spinning rod and black prince real washing bottle top for indicator and 2 branches for rodrests
It's a nice Challenge. Todays being favourite. But I have a pair of DAIWA Dictator Rods "by Kevin Nash" thats my favourite Rods for small Waters. 😊
Great watch and some cracking mirrors well angled again mark and congrats on beating a challenge again finally and fishing with the floppy dicks and old school reels looked fun
Go on foxy!!!!
Very entertaining same i fished since the 80s,so you wouldn't be fishing for carp in April would have been close season. You missed saying the old reel churners which we used to get on the Mitchell reels 😂
90s baits should have been the richworth tutti fruiti boilie and whisky pop ups
Used to use a backie tin and transformer for our bite alarms lol
Tempat memancing yg sangat indah sekali banyak sekali ikan besar👍
What great entertainment as the norm
Many years ago you would use to sticks 🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣there was no walking done here 😂😂
Don’t think Harry clocked to ‘I think I was😏’ 😂
I started fishing in the mid sixties caught my first carp in 67 when tench fishing in a lake in Surrey it was only 7lb didn’t even know there were carp in the lake
those stick inspired bank sticks are the carpiest things I've ever seen
I was lucky enough to meet Ian before he was famous a lovely bloke and happy to say I'd met him
Struck as hard as the miners 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Football, f1 na the challenge for me!
Get in that net...Bosh.. 😂😂😂
Was the "twenny panda" reference to Suffolk being near the south?
Get in that net BOSH...😂
I used to work at the swp back in the late 90s, it certainly wasn't the carp water it is now but worth a bend in the rod
Great video as always!
Is it just me, or has Mark dyed his beard 🤣🤔
Are you using your Cobra throwing stick. You should be reading Carp Fever / Uncle Kevin or Jim Teacher/ Gibbinson.
Any idea when the next episode of the challenge will be landing??? its been 2 months since the last and im slowly running out of things to watch haha
I caught my first carp on moulded bread on the hook 😊
Never moved on from the naughties and still catch loads
Should have had night fishing gear , for the 70 & 80 ,
An umbrella, flask of tea , a deck chair and a Tilly lamp 😂
Would like to see a challenge using float fishing tactics
got it wrong for the 00's for that era it involves getting an underwater camera roping of a section of the lake for weeks and heavily feeding it for weeks before even fishing it and having people running up the bank ground baiting for you while you sit in a bivvy looking at monitors talking in a mockney accent lol
You are the dogs Bullocks, with your 300 reel and Dick Walker rods. 😂
Nice!
First?
Don't you think Harry should do a challenge and film you with the cameras from ages as well 😂😂
So who won the competition? Seems weird I can't see who won on the actual website......
And where were the Umbrellas with feet sticking out the end and sun lounger beds :))
We managed well in the early 80s with what we had for carping.Time moves on though.
