It is so beautiful watching your videos, I feel relaxed and nostalgic about Mani kai Lakonia, makes me wanna visit soon. I totally love your new home, I am sure you will make it so cozy and dreamy.. I live just outside Athens, by the sea and I really dislike the centre, I avoid visiting unless I really have to. Looking forward to your next videos and also how your kitchen is progessing.. x
Hi Lena! thank you so much for your kind comment, I am always honoured when people feel relaxed and happy when people watch my videos, it is exactly what I am trying to achieve. I am glad you have the sea close to you to inspire you. Much love x
Thank you Bee for your videos. We spend 8 days in Kithira and came back to Paris 2 weeks ago . And i already miss Greece😢. So it's a pleasure to watch your life in beautiful Mani. ❤
Loved seeing Athens, I have to admit we love the madness of it all! 😅It was great to see that familiar drive down to the Peloponnese . Your Durch plates are very cute and thanks for sharing that sublime suset at the end.
Life just gets disjointed sometimes! Nature doesn’t have straight lines! Try to enjoy the diversions in everyday life. Wouldn’t life be boring without them! Love your videos! They make me happy.😃
Watching from Northwest US where we also had a beautiful Indian Summer (following a summer of drought...it finally rained .15 inches this weekend and I was thrilled!) Your road shots were really amazing -- have only been to Athens and a few of the islands over the years so did not realize what the main landscape looks like! I would welcome you to start a US trip from Washington state, and I imagine other US subscribers would also enjoy a visit and be very hospitable on a road trip across our vast country 😍. But having also been to New Zealand a couple times I would say do not miss that! (It's certainly an easier accomplishment too). I made a wish...should know in about a week.
Hi Rediviva! Thank you so much for your lovely comment - and your kind offer! We would love to visit Washington state, it is one that has always fascinated me! Ah rain is still scarce here, we had a few downpours but after that nothing again... it is not good for the olive harvest... Fingers crossed for your wish! :)
@sibylleschrod2618 aww bless you! Beauty can be found everywhere and Greece is certainly very beautiful, but I also love the UK, Netherlands, Germany and many other countries too. Life is for living ❤️ wherever you are. ✨️ Thank you for your kind words.
Thank you for another beautiful video! Athens is beautiful in a chaotic and energetic way, rich in history and culture but I too prefer the countryside! The sea and the mountains. I lived in Litochoro in Northern Greece for many years! I must visit the Peloponnese though! It looks so beautiful!!! I have a feeling i would want to stay forever!!! Your kitchen is coming along just nicely! Maybe a small round table with two chairs ( can also be used as extra bench space when needed) in that curved part of your kitchen with multiple small shelves above for storage! Just an idea ;) The cauliflower curry is my kind of dish! Yummy!
@VickisDiary hi Vicki! Thank you so much for your wonderful comment! Athens is amazing. Such a hot spot for everything and everyone. Culture, history, food, fashion, entertainment!. We will definitely go more often. The Peloponnese is breathtaking. We love it very much here and there is so much to see. Many coastal areas have an island vibe and of course the Mani is a whole kingdom unto itself. We have driven through northern Greece and that too is beautiful but in a different way. We want to explore Thessaloniki next.😊 we did think about a chair and table for the kitchen but definitely need more workspace as I love to bake. Wr have dome great ideas now though and I am sure it will work just great! Have a wonderful week!
As for the kitchen counter. Don’t make it too wide to reach the shelves! In very little time that would become very annoying! Continue the width of sink counter around the perimeter. You’ll be happier for it😀
Another wonderful video. I will definitely have a go at the cauliflower curry receipe. It was good to see all your plates and the story behind them, thank you 😀
@janehutchinson9999 hi Jane! Thank you so much for your lovely comment 😊 I love my plates. Not everyone's cup of tea but they hold a beautiful sentiment for me. ❤️✨️ have a beautiful week x
Hello Bee and what a lovely combination of a vlog. From the bustle to a heartwarming cauliflower curry. Will definitely try it. A recommended road trip from Johannesburg to Cape Town is an experience too. The landscapes of mountains, desserts and then arriving at Table Mountain. Don't forget the Dutch architecture, Malay quarters with their curries, and lots more. Greek daydreamer from South Africa. Keep up the good work. By the way, which park did you visit in Athens?
Hi Anastasia! Thank you so much for your lovely comment! The trip across South Africa sounds a wonderful idea too! It sure is stunning landscape. It was Athens National Garden and Zappeio Hall we walked through.
Thank you for your reply Bee. Truly looking forward to your videos and enjoying them. The cauliflower curry with chickpeas was delicious and was enjoyed by my teenagers too. Enjoy the autumnal walks, till next time ❤
Hi Bee yep exactly what crazy London is like too and like you being a high functioning sensitive l am struggling a lot with the overwhelm of constant noise and people more so over the last few years, l sit most days with my noise cancelling headphones on and l wish l had the means to move and live somewhere more peaceful its impacting my health and well being a lot, l will gladly take your wish from the beginning of the video and use it 😉 thank you ❤xx
Oh Wendy, I can't even imagine how intense it must be for you. I honestly couldn't live in a city anymore, and when I do London or Athens, I can bear it foe about 3 days, then I just have to get out! Thank you so much for your lovely comment! Take caren❤
Those sky colors, and i can fully understand the produce part, during my visit this summer i made sure to both go to Kalamata's farmers market, and the one in Nafplio, and i feel i can still almost feel extra layers of sweetness and taste in everything i bought as if i just ate it few minutes ago :/.. Ever since i've been hunting for a good pomegranates and to no luck :(
Roads in Greece are not built only because of EU funds . Yes , there is definitely support by EU in addition to national subsidy and privatisation. Let’s not forget that EU funds come mainly from countries contribution to the union , in other words you give money , you take money back .
Hi Nikos, yes, of course, every country pays in, but some get a lot more out of the EU than they pay in. Greece has a relatively small population and difficult economic past. In 2021, Greece ranked 2nd after Poland for receiving the highest funding from the EU. This is a good link to get a good overview of who pays and who receives the most in contributions www.statista.com/chart/18794/net-contributors-to-eu-budget/
Hello there!!! I think very soon your videos are going to be VERY popular👌👏🏻! Are you prepared for it? You should! I loved your cutlery ❣️As for the corner of your kitchen, Wouldn't be more reachable if the surface you are preparing to construct was curved instead of straight? Curry is my favourite mix and I add it in almost everything I eat, salads and all 👌Thanks for showing us how tranquil life can be if we make the right choices...Oh, I almost forgot!!! Your little chapel is the ideal place for meditation , never mind which name you call our creator. No one enters a holy place with negative feelings. Everybody leaves a piece of gratefulness, forgiveness and the hope of making life better for ourselves and others🙏 So, the chapel, you are blessed with, is full of positive energy💒🇬🇷🌅🏞️🌄🌍
@leelanikolopoulos2902 Hi Leela! Thank you so much for your lovely comment 😊 I would love the channel to grow more, and I am hoping to get a new vlogging camera soon, too, so I can do things a little more professionally! I love the idea of the curved wood, but we are using IKEA worktops, and they aren't solid wood, so curved isn't an option. But maybe one day! Have a great week! As for the chapel... we have barely had time to be in there and things happened that made us very sad. I might share all that one day. 🤔 but thank you for the message 🙏 ☺️
Brings my soul to a restful place. Thank you for sharing. xx
Aww that's good Karen. Glad you enjoyed a moment of peace. xx
Hi Bee, Beautiful video as always! That is also one of my favourite meals! I shall think of you next time I make it.😀❤️❤️❤️
Hi Val! I love me a curry... it is so rich and creamy and beautifully fragrant. I hope all is well in your world! Lots of love xx

Oh and Simon has done a fantastic job on the kitchen! I made notes on that recipe and will make it this fall...thank you!
Yes, Simon has done some fabulous work and soon we can finish the project we hope. Enjoy the curry! :)

Hi Mary! You are so right, we are trying out many options at the moment, and just seeing what would work best for us.
Nice to see the video with the ‘boerenbont’ plates. I am always happy to view the calm video’s.
@jokevandokkum104 whoa Joke! Yes, boerenbont! That's the name. We couldn't remember! Thank you for your lovely comment 😊
