This video is amazing, the instructions are simple and clear. This is the THIRD time I am knitting a hat for loved ones using this tutorial and keep coming back for the great instructions. Thank you!
I have looked at several videos looking for one for a new beginner like me could easily understand and make. I will be a great-great-aunt next March and want to make something that can be a keepsake for my great-niece and plan on knitting a box full of baby things she will love and be able to use and maybe keep to be handed down to her other children. She is expecting a boy and we are all excited and feel very blessed, I myself feel young even though I will be 60 next February even though I'm a grandma, great grandma, and great-great-grandma along with being a great aunt. Thank you for teaching this so easily and making it easy to understand. Next, I want to make a baby blanket and booties
I already have one but with stockinette stitch. You can make it in the same way just knit for every row. Here’s the link th-cam.com/video/a4qjQua5K5A/w-d-xo.html and this other one which I made with garter stitch th-cam.com/video/AMpffOluZgE/w-d-xo.html
Thank you ☺️ the little cardigan is crochet. Here’s the link to my crochet patterns in English from my crochet channel. You’ll find it way down. It’s called bean stitch baby set th-cam.com/play/PLiGQpEa3IKJ9ZZmfc6uS3xW0RTgPCCz7r.html
If I were to use a 5mm needle because it's all I have available, would I need less stitches? I'm extremely new to this and making my first hat for my 2 month old daughter. I'm hoping to learn how to make a bigger one for my 3 year old son too!
you probably decreased both on both rows. she decreased a row then just did a row of the normal pattern then did another decrease row then another row of the normal pattern, every other row decreased. if that makes sense. watch again and see.
Thank you Alicia for your reply. Sometimes I don’t get to all the comments so I appreciate you taking your time to reply. I have a moderator opening available if you’re interested lol 😉💕
Thank you ma'am,I made it ❤

@@knittingforbaby thank you very much for responding. I will have a look now x
Hi I'm new to this and I only have 2mm needls and 3mm needls would those work instead of the 2.5mm

i know this is a late reply and not from the creator, but yes, bigger needles or bigger yarn will effect the sizing of the patten.
🙏🙏💐💐💐
Ok
would like this pattern for premie baby
Yes but use smaller knitting needle like a full needle size less. Good luck 👍
Will a cast on of 74 stitches be enough for a 3months old baby
she said in the video the pattern was good for up to 6 months, so that does include 3 months yes
Hi there. I love this pattern but confused on the reduction. You have 26 stitches on your 4th row. I have 26 stitches on my 2nd row!
Please help

Hello, so I knit the very first row in the back loop only, and then in the front loop!?
Yes. That’s how I was taught but you can knit the first row in the front loop too.
@@knittingforbaby Ahh, thanx :) okii. Your way is much easier and nicer, though
Hi what size needle do I need to use to make this for a 9-12 month baby.
I would use 3mm knitting needles and make it in the same way.
Thank you. Would it be big enough if I used a 3mm.
Yes sorry I meant 3mm for brim and 3.5mm or 4mm for rest of hat. It’s a very stretchy stitch so either way it should fit fine.
Thank you 🙂
Uaed a 3mm and 3.5mm and it's turned out fab. Thank you for posting the tutorial.
