The first day of multi-day hike on Antjie Se Pad with "Start Hiking Gqeberha" at Baviaans. 28.06.24

We started our 3-day hike on Antjie Se Pad next to Baviaans Mega Reserve in Eastern Cape. That place is 55km from Humansdorp and 45km from Kareedouw. This is a place of amazing beauty.
This was my first multi-day backpacking trip with full luggage and yes, it was damn hard. All the time we had to go down and back up to the peaks; almost all the paths were covered with stones that tried to turn under our feet. We walked slowly and with frequent breaks, so we reached our overnight location almost just before sunset. The house for an overnight stay was quite comfortable with a hot shower, toilet, gas stove and beds with mattresses. Near the house there is a very beautiful waterfall with a pool in which you can swim. But we were so tired that we just wanted to eat, take a shower and go to bed.
