      the queue that helped me is to wait to exhale till you 'have your head above water'. Only exhale once you are practically done with the squat. Then restiffen your core with your inhale before going for another rep

    • @Shvabicu

      Start exhaling when you're past the sticking point on the ascent

    • @truthhurtts
      @truthhurtts ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Exhale as you’re sitting up but keep your core flexed and tight.
      Remember, it’s not just the inhaled air that’s doing the bracing; it’s also your core being tight and rigid through the entire ROM as well.
      Edit: All the comments above mine are great advice too. Same principles but just different explanations.

    • @xStokelyx
      @xStokelyx ปีที่แล้ว +4

      When you are pushing near maximum weight or reps. They support core stability so you don't mess up your lower back. You shouldn't train much with them because your core strength could become underdeveloped due to the belt doing a lot of the work.

       @Shvabicu @@branflakee4257 nah that's not true. there's no point in wearing a belt unless you're a competitive powerlifter. way more injuries occur with belts than without belts. there reason is like u said; it allows you to move more weight than you otherwise could. you are relying on a tool to go beyond what you are capable of naturally. that is naturally a recipe for injury. I can squat 3 plates atg and pull 4 plates for reps and never do 1RMs cause why would I care to? true chads dont use belts, and get grizzly cores.
