so funny, within the first minute r so of this tutorial you had me rummaging through my garbage for a medicine bottle hubby just threw out. This is going to be perfect in my latest build. Thanks for the inspiration!
Film canister top lol! That's probably been around your place for a while, lol. ;) All that "trash" and your imagination turned out super cute, thanks!
😂 yes, it still had a roll of film in the canister and my husband just told me he wants to have it developed. I think it’s from Easter 1998. Thanks for watching!
Thanks! I am looking forward to getting the point of putting all the items in the store. I just have to create the post office cubby holes and a few accessories for the store. Thanks for tuning in!
Awesome! I came here from a camping channel, thinking that maybe it was a way to make a real stove but I'm also an artist so this was amazing! I am building a stealth fort so it has as much to do with the building itself as it does with making it look like its surroundings. It's art and physics combined! This little pot belly stove is absolutely outstanding, which is why I thought it was a working stove in the first place. Very well done! Just the subtle notes of metal and of rust are exactly the kind of thing I have to do all the time for my fort too. Keep up the good work and you have a new subscriber here!
Wow, I’m glad you found me 😊 I appreciate your kind words. I did a google search on potbelly stoves to see what they look like and there is a lot out there for camping stoves. Some thrifty ideas as well. Let me know where I can see your fort. Thanks for subscribing!
I found that you can’t get an even spray and good coverage over all the nooks and crannies of each piece if they are already glued. It’s easier to spray first and glue after. Thanks so much for watching. 😊
I’m not the first miniaturist to create a stove from found objects. What is different between mine and others is just what I was able to find around my home to create it. Everyone will find something different to make it their own and put it together as they imagine it. 😊
@@thecreativebohemian4927 nice! I made my bottom just a solid ring box with legs on it. My husband’s father had one in there log cabin and it had legs.
@@bellagabriella1 yes, the usual stove has legs on it. We actually have one in my house that has the flat bottom but it needs to be set on bricks so it is fire safe. I’m glad you were able to find the box. I look forward to hearing more about your project. If you have pictures, please share them.
How on earth do you use super glue and press your fingers against something till it’s dry and then pull your fingers away without the object being stuck to your fingers and ripping off of your miniature????????
@@thecreativebohemian4927 I use the exact one that you use in the video. I hate it. It seals well, but it goes everywhere especially all over my hands even if I use a little. Sometimes if I use just a dab, it’s not enough. I can’t win. I’m having trouble trying to find that round vent. I have a desiccant container, but it’s too big for my miniature door.
The glue ratio is trial and error. I once glued my fingers together putting on fake nails. Finding the pieces that work together is the hardest part. I’m thinking about the round vent. Have you tried jewelry findings at the craft store? Or a small button. Something round you can add cardboard vents to maybe.
@@thecreativebohemian4927 so I found these round flat beads on a string at hobby lobby. I’m going to try them. I did take the top of a desiccant container and painted it silver. My husband liked it, so I might just stick with that for the top. But I need a smaller one for the bottom so I’m gonna try that flat bead . Yeah that’s super glue. Sucks! I’ll glue my fingers together, and any other part of my skin to some thing, but try to glue fake nails onto my nails, and they never stick! But it sticks everywhere it’s not supposed to! Smh
Where on earth did you find such a TINY shower curtain ring?? Most are much larger and would fall right over that tiny bottle! And what if we all don’t have fax machines? I don’t have a tiny ring box nor a tiny plastic mix drink container. My toothpicks don’t have that carved top. This tutorial would be great if we all had all these things “lying around!”
This video was more of an inspirational jumping off point. It’s to show you that you can use found objects to create you miniature projects. I’m not even sure if the ring is from a curtain. I have collected so many miscellaneous items for my stash. I appreciate that you took the time to watch. 😊
@@thecreativebohemian4927 Took the time? I watched it countless times! it was brilliant! My husband said it looks so much like one he used to have as a kid that his dad had in their log cabin. So I’m trying to make one for him for a doll house that he is turning into a log cabin. And I’m just not having any luck with any crafts that I’m finding on TH-cam. Every single one I watch, I never have anything I need that everybody seems to just have lying around the house. I have to buy all the pieces to make it n by that time I might as well have just purchased it off of Etsy. It’s just so frustrating.

Yea! Another CB video! The stove looks great. You'd never know it has been made from trash items. 😃❣
I’m so happy you enjoyed it! Your comment means so much to me.
So clever putting all that together from trash. I love it ❤
Thanks! Half the fun is finding the different pieces and trying to figure out how to make them look like the real thing. 😊

Fantastic tutorial, clear instructions and lovely use of waste materials. 👏
Thank you so much!
Cleverly created and Beautifully finished!
Thank you for the compliment and also for watching!
You really develop an 'eye' for what can be used in miniatures. This is brilliant and I'm glad to have found you!
Thank you, Anne. I am always looking at things for their mini possibilities. I like the challenge.
That turned out fantastic ❣️

Great tutorial, thank you! The store is looking good!

Most ingenious.
Just a thought - wouldn't it be easier to first glue it all together, then spray paint it?

Me encanta la idea de hacerlo con lo que tenemos,no todos tenemos una impresora 3 D como ahora se utililiza.
I don’t have one either. I enjoy doing everything myself and finding the pieces to put together.
wow absolutely amazing 👌 how did you come up with this idea it's amazing 👌

What was your mixed drink that it had a tiny plastic rectangular lid?
It was a fruit punch drink mix from ALDIs food store.

How on earth do you use super glue and press your fingers against something till it’s dry and then pull your fingers away without the object being stuck to your fingers and ripping off of your miniature????????
You use as little amount of glue as possible. You also need to use a gel super glue that won’t run into areas you don’t want it to.
