    Great video. Moved to Belmar, Lakewood area and love it. Trifecta was a great property and everything was in walking distance. Left for a year but I’m coming back.

      That’s my neck of the woods, glad to hear you enjoy it too! What lead you to move away for the year?

      Came back to Texas for a job opportunity. Colorado grew on me and I’m looking to come back to Lakewood/Belmar area. CO has so much to offer

    This vlog made me excited to live in Lakewood for a year. Hoping my J1 Visa will be approved! I will have my internship at Monarch Casino in Black Hawk.

    I’m making the move from San Diego to Lakewood/surrounding suburbs, so this was really insightful. Thanks!

    Me and my family have been considering moving to the Denver Metro Area. I come from Northern Virginia, and home prices have skyrocketed and the crime has started to increase in my city these past few years. My parents don't mind snow, but my mom questions about the altitude. My dad has dialyses three times a week, and she would want to know if Lakewood or any city around Denver is good for people who have dialysis. I'm more of an explorer, and I love snow. My family doesn't enjoy humidity and I don't either.

    You have sold me on Lakewood Jimmy! Will be making the move from Hawaii late October/ Early November hopefully. Looking at places to rent for now around the Bellmar area. Hopefully I can work with you in the near future with purchasing a home!

    Very nice video, it feels very professional especially considering your low subscriber account.
    I know this video is old, but how are the winters?
    For me the snowier the better!

    I miss green mountain man, grew up on the mountain above Alkire drive, graduated GMHS in 2016 and moved to Florida.

      @@destinationdenvercolorado Parents moved and I wanted to get away for a bit. I think once the city settles the traffic issues and the political climate chills out I'll want to move back. Might bring my gf to see the place this summer. I know she'd love belmar and sol terra.

    Stopped building?! Have you seen all the cookie cutters at Morrison rd and 470?! I live in Bear Creek and the traffic is terrible now.

      That’s literally the only area in Lakewood, where substantial building can be done. The city still has the one percent rule in place for a while longer so new construction will be limited when you look at the entire suburb as a whole.

    Thanks for the info! I'm looking at moving to Denver or possibly an adjacent city/town. If you live in Lakewood, could you get to downtown Denver via public transit? Could you get by living in Lakewood without a car and simply rely on a bike and public transit?

    • @destinationdenvercolorado
      @destinationdenvercolorado  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Eric, thanks for watching! There are areas of Lakewood that are right along the light rail, so there is some ability there to use a bike and the light rail to get along. It really comes down to how close to that light rail you are and how convenient using it is for you versus having a car.

    I hear Denver minimum wage is $17.29 this year. This is crazy higher than California and even cities like Los Angeles or San Diego. I was looking for investment property in Denver but now im rethinking if it a good idea or not.

    • @destinationdenvercolorado
      @destinationdenvercolorado  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Denver specifically does as of the beginning of this year. The cost of living has increased quite a bit here - which I’m sure your used to if you’re in Cali. That is for Denver only though, surrounding suburbs can follow the state minimum wage which is in the $13.50 range.

    Can you help me get into a home ? Looking for a rental around denver 👀

    • @destinationdenvercolorado
      @destinationdenvercolorado  ปีที่แล้ว

      My apologies for the late response - the rental market in Denver is very independent. The best bet to find a place is usually on sites like Zillow or Apartments.com.

    Would be cool definitely better than Lakewood California where i live lmao

    • @destinationdenvercolorado

      Haha - there’s also a Lakewood in Ohio that I lived close to in my late 20’s. I’d say this one is the coolest I’ve experienced in my lifetime.
