All scenes featuring the Harris family from when they arrived on the street, back in 2002.
Apologies for the varying quality of some of the clips, all these clips are currently the best available online.
Synopsis: Martin was there to be a friend to Katy, and she developed a crush on him which was not returned at the time. Eventually though, Martin began to return the affection. They kept it secret for awhile and talked Tyrone into pretending to be her boyfriend.

ive tried watching corrie on and off over last few years and always seems like a chore can never get into it or care.. but re watching it 2002-2007 ish can watch for hours.. maybe im old now but i swear it was so much better then.

I concur. I recently stopped watching it because the writing is terrible now.
There is a distinct difference between the writing from the early millennium era and currently. It is literally streets ahead of any contemporary soap going. Corrie nowadays I find hard to engage with.
It was better then. The storylines in the 90s and early 2000s were so much better. Late 2016-2023 wasnt on parr with the earlier stuff.
Absolutely love this account. The time and effort you put in to stringing these whole story lines together.
Martin went from one extreme to the other first chasing and marrying Hamster face Gail who was about 20 years older and then a school girl.
She’s his daughter’s friend, & she’s his friend’s daughter… 😄

Tommy would've seen Martin and Katy on the sofa coming down those stairs. You can see over the bannister rail on the left side coming down the stairs.
Yeah the funny thing is tho when he came down and said whats going on he had a disgusted look on his face but if he knew he would've thumped Martin tho and kicked him out

It was awful the way Martin ended up with Tommy's daughter, that's not a line you cross, plus the fact Tommy saved Martin's family, like a slap in the face

No, I think it wasn’t just the age difference it was taring their families apart and themselves, Tommy and Katy ended up dead in the end with Angela in prison and Craig with his grandad.

Just finished the Richard Hillman series and now enjoying these, why whenever someone from Coronation Street is in hospital does Martin Platt arrive on the scene, gliding in somehow at the right time 🤔
