Thank you! These types of videos really help me pare down my supplies to the essentials (I tend to overpack in general, 😂).
PS I like the inset picture too, I might suggest if you can move it to a top corner as a rule, you wouldn’t have to worry about it potentially obscuring anything (since your hands would naturally be near the bottom of the screen).

Nikki, I am one of your students. How did you know I really needed this video today? This past week I just went to Open Studio day at my local Art studio and I hauled quite the bag. I wanted to make sure I had everything I needed but ended up inly using only a few things, hehe. This video was so helpful. I love seeing your compact traveling watercolor materials. Thank you for describing things clearly. Loved the two cameras as well. And I really appreciate the inspiration/encouragement to take your watercolors everywhere and just paint. ❤❤❤ Thank you.

    Thank you!
When I am “on the go” is my primary time for watercolor!
This helps me fine-tune my own version of a travel kit.
One of my favorites to take is a postcard sized (4”X6”) pad of watercolor papers.
It’s a great way to document my travels, send updates to friends, and share blessing along the way.
Often upon returning home I find my “postcards” still hanging on the frig in my friend’s & family’s homes!

I loved how compact your travel kit is, Most youtube videos about travel kits that I have seen focus on how to cram as many art supplies as possible in as little space as possible lol. I will admit that it is hard for me to limit myself to just watercolor so I am instead trying to develop a useable limited palette that combines several mediums (watercolor, colored pencils, neocolor II and water based markers plus a fountain pen with waterproof ink and a mechanical pencil for sketching) I am hoping that this can work for me on my upcoming trip.

I have been trying to pack less for travel actually. I end up always packing too much and thinking I'll have extra free time but in fact, we seem busier with wanting to explore everything. :)
