As folks have already mentioned, the tone of the six new tracks seems happier and more hopeful overall. Even Grinding of the Teeth is lighter than some of the absolutely CRUSHING stuff that they released as sewerslvt. I'm ecstatic to see it, and I hope it means they're truly on an upward trajectory. God, this EP made my entire year. I swear.
I'm pretty sure that there's some reference in the Cynthoni name. Like, cynth would be either a reference to pretty cvnt or at least, related to the way they used letters like v to censor/change offensive words. Or referencing to the word Synth, short for synthetizer, thing that they use to make music. And oni its definitely referencing the japanese word for demon. But idk, im just making assumptions. (i refer to jvne as "they/them" because as long as i knew those were their pronouns. correct me if im wrong!)
