This thing was famous for an incedent where one broke the sound barrier flying low in a shallow dive over london and broke a load of windows. Try that in WT and your wings will drop off, but then many of the British aircraft fall apart too early in WT due to Britain's over cautious maximum speed in the pilot handbooks which gaijin take as an absolute maximum.

@@WadsworthGaming It's been ages since I watched the documentary about it so I'm afraid it'll be light on the details. Basically when finalising testing one created a low level sonic boom over London at midnight, damaging people's property and causing outcry, especially in the press.
Gloster officially apologized, but it was widely believed that they did it on purpose to prove it could go supersonic, as the project had had a shakey start, with a test pilot being killed, and claims (including from an ex employee who had quit and joined a news paper as an editor) that it couldn't.

specifically about the overspeed limits in the Javelin manual, Gaijin doesnt understand that its an imposed limit, not a structural limitation

Every nation in Update Supersonic: Gets a supersonic aircraft with missiles and unique stats with decent performance
Gaijin to Britain in Update Supersonic: Yeah, you get a huge fragile brick with 2 afterburners, however, you wont be able to go even transsonic because we said so. Also your energy retention is horrible, and you're bleeding speed in turns like a MiG - 21. Oh, by the way, did I mention that your brand new "supersonic" plane has a 12k repair cost? yeah, take it or leave it.
You didn't get up tiered nearly as much as I do in this airplane. I constantly go against F104s, where there is literally nothing you can do.
F104s are so fast they don't render if you are 1000 m alt and they are very low and boom and zoom you got flares r60s you are an mig 21 mf doesn't matter you are dead to aim 9b 😂

couldnt really have a good time with this, its another case of interceptors having no place in warthunder. however the plane itself is really neat
i really wish Britain got some Avro Canada planes like the arrow or just Canadian aircraft in general like the cf-104 or maybe stuff like the p-40 warhawk

Won't happen, if it is good/useful and Canadian it goes to America. Britain only gets Canadian stuff when it is bad (for example the Canadian ADATS on the M113, instead of the one mounted on the Warrior)
@@commandoepsilon4664 Avro is a British company so no it would go to Britain and they previously said that stuff like the LAV lll would go to Britain and aircraft while they haven't said anything it wouldn't make sense to give those to the US since they already have p-40's and f-104's.

The Red Tops do that too! In a typical British fashion they fail where even a R-3S would hit, or they simply self-destruct few sec after launch. The good news is that this plane is rank 6.
Ill try to use it on this event do to its rank/BR, but based on that in one game i only got 1700 scores for 3 player-kills (with guns) in a rank 6 jet i'm not sure if its wort the effort! Should I try just bombing?
Having just spaded this, some advice for anyone brave enough to try. Take 2 missiles and 4 guns, as seen on this video the missiles will often pull harder to avoid hitting a target than they do to down one. Better to take 4 cannons to shotgun planes than risk relying on missiles with a kill rate lower than aim9b
I enjoy your reviews and stock to spaded. I usually listen to videos as I'm pretty busy so watching gameplay is not for me. Good luck with YT and hope to hear more videos from you 😀
The firestreak is good for bombers and head-ons only imo, the radar is a bit redundant when you have them

hey do you think you could make a video on the class 3? there's been a bunch of changes in the game since your video on it, with many changes being very recent in terms of time.
With your BR rivals it' s not that bad, it' s normal; with my rivals this thing is bullshit, they are MIG's 19 and all fricking EEUU monsters at more than 2 k speed every single match, having a really hard time

The premium German Sea Hawk Mk.100 has AIM-9Bs at 8.0, it can face the Spitfire Mk 24 which sits at 7.0, let that sink in.
You say that as if aim 9bs would do anything against a spitfire lol

@@duskycotw8404 You often see stalled out Spits? You have a extremly small seekerhead on the AIM9B, it can be dodged by a very gentle turn, you have to be in gunrange to lock on a prop, and good luck getting on it’s tail in a Sea Hawk
it's sad that not even tankstien did not see a hidden Gem on the soviet Tree AND it's a MiG-21
and i ask people to fly it and they refuse to fly it cuz they say it's bad and i bet they say that they think it's not worth it
and this Gem is the MiG-21 F-13
yes low ammo and bad missiles but you get better , lighter Airframe and this plane has so much potential to overRun an F-104A and i did shoot down an F-104A using it and i don't see it in the match very often not even DEFYN made a review on it
yes Ik J-7II is there but these 2 are a hidden Gem in USSR and China
I don't have the F-13, but I do have the PFM which is fairly similar (it's got a slightly better engine, but is heavier with more drag, the 30mm is replaced by a GSh23 and it gets better radar, but no way to really use it), and it's not that good. Sure, it can work, as long as you keep your speed and some altitude, and go after distracted pilots, but you are very reliant on your team not disentigrating. Because if you're left to fight with no teammates to occupy the enemies, you're kinda screwed. You have no firepower or range in a headon, you're very voulnrable to missiles, and if you turn you're dead. So basically, if an enemy is dedicated enough to killing you, he will do so and there's basically nothing you can do about it.
And on top of all that, you're flareless at 9.3. So you fall into the black hole which is 10.0/10.3. Meaning that every match you face planes which can kill you by clicking 2 buttons. The worst of those being harriers, which will actually catch you if you fall below mach for even a little bit.
@@jojomaster7675 yes all of what you said is good and very true but since later versions of MiG-21's does lose speed in a slight of turn not only the earlier ones
@@user-fd1mc8tb9k Yeah, but the later migs get good missiles and flares, so they don't need to get as close to their enemies, don't need to stay on them, and can dodge missiles much easier.
The early mig-21s are usable, but I wouldn't call them very good, simply because of their reliance on their team and very lackluster armament, which runs out very quickly.

@wildbanana2.067 Japan 9.3 is actually some of the best tanks I've used tbe type74s now are fantastic, as well as the type 89 combined with the saber for cas you've got a nice little lineup, get the thpe74 G and you've got it pretty easy.

When damaged. Just the slightest hint of yellow on any part of the plane will drastically decrease its speed.
If you've never played the Javelin then you couldn't possibly understand. Taking even minor cover damage has a very high probability of causing so much drag you literally cannot gain speed. The most egregious case I have seen was after a head-on with a SAAB I had an orange inner wing and a yellow wing tip, in a full nose down dive with after burner on I couldn't get past 250 km/h. I slow fell from 5000m completely unable to do anything because of what could generously be called cosmetic damage.
Not hating but I’m not sure a guy who happily full commits planes when he doesn’t need to and says ‘well at least I got four kills’ is really in a position to review a plane like this - gonna stick to defyn.
Also ‘look at my speed bleed’ - proceeds to do a full elevator turn and complains when his literal delta wing starts to lose speed… bruh what is this guy even doing
