Maybe the best draft for a team in NFL history. Butkus and Sayers in the same draft.

Exactly, I think it’s one of the greatest drafts in pro sports history, not just NFL history. The Pittsburgh Steelers 1974 draft is probably the greatest NFL draft ever, but the Bears 🐻 1965 draft is probably #2 or #3.

The 1974 Steelers drafted 4 future hall of famers that year: Mike Webster, Lynn Swann, Jack Lambert, and John Stallworth.

Not even close. I think no playoff appearances validates that

@@jebarr1 The best defensive player AND the best offensive player in the league?? Come on bruh. I'm talking about the talent of the players NOT whether the team made the playoffs.

As a Packers fan, I gotta say that it's a shame that Gale Sayers blew his knees out. He'd of been all-time leading everything RB. An amazing player. I only despise the Bears when we play them. I hate the Vikings and Cowboys all the time.

1957 draft was pretty funny. The Packers had the 1st & the 4th pick. They took Hornung with the 1st pick and Ron Kramer with the 4th. The Cleveland Browns picked 6th. Guess who they took, GB could have had Hornung & Jim Brown in the same backfield. He was still available for 1 reason, the other NFL HC and GM didn't want to take "the colored guy" as they called used to call them. Lucky for the Packers in 2 years they hired Vince. He was actually very progressive for the era. Packers became the 1st team to have more black starters on D than white.
