Ice cream, as all good Ozzie and Harriet fans know, was Ozzie's all-time favorite snack. There are several episodes in which Ozzie and ice cream are featured. And, I loved that ice cream parlor scene where Harriet burns up the dance floor doing the Charleston!
This episode is from 12/11/1957, the earliest I've seen a married couple in the same bed together. A later episode, Ozzie & Harriet are back in separate beds. Laurel & Hardy, Our Gang, and Three Stooges were filmed in the same beds together, and that was the 1930's. I guess it was too suggestive to have a married couple in the same bed?
It's bad enough that these episodes have been stretched to a 16x9 widescreen format, when the original televised versions were ALL 4x3. But to cut out the "Goodie Goodie / Tutti Fruiti" singing and dance number (with Ozzie, Harriet, the Four Preps as backup, and even David and Rick get to sing a few bars) to just the ending of the dream sequence is just wrong. The entire number is the ONLY reason to watch this episode. Yet you still found time to run all the Kodak commercials!

Wow those were the days of getting decent sized ice cream cones. 2024 they have shrunk to bite size and quardruple the cost!
