The thing is, this is how rewards work in the real world anyway! Most reward programs work under the condition of a conviction. Money is hardly handed over immediately because a reward can be paid out and the fugitives could end up walking in a jury trial. So, reward money is often paid years after, and once a trial is complete. In this case, since there was never any trial, the justice system that promised him $250K per person, could simply tell this traitor that since there is no way of knowing an outcome, they are not required to pay out the reward. This could have played out in a telephone conversation where he is begging and telling them how he did his part. And ending like this would have also communicated that the same system that placed the rogue cop on the street, murdered them, has now screwed over the man who handed them over! For me, that would have been a better ending because the traitor gets nothing, and the integrity of the ending would have been preserved!

@@nanaantwi2390 The film is text book race baiting. Also notice at the end the news report says they were both armed. th-cam.com/video/yST45Y1y5zU/w-d-xo.html The film is a disgrace and very irresponsible as it paints white US police officers as if they have no issue with such shootings and are willing to lie about shooting victims being armed.
Yup
TRUTH
Na
They fucked up when they kept stopping & trusting every one
All I’m saying is that they would have gotten away, if they didn’t do all that damn stopping, they changed their disguise, didn’t park all out in the open, and didn’t talk to anybody they wasn’t suppose too. They should have waited until they got to Cuba 🇨🇺
This right here. Having sex on the side of the road and going all out dancing and drinking. As if they weren’t wanted
Aside from the message of the movie, ask yourself why the studio released this particular scene right now? What effect do you think is intended?
To show that it never end well? I’m not sure
@@norah7973 oh it will , very soon !! Seek the Most high in Yeshua the Messiah!! Peace and blessings
Damn I just cried like a little baby 😭
It's understandable...
It was absolutely unnecessary for them to shoot them when they had no visible weapons and were not running.
that's the point
They got the ending they deserved
@@Randomguy41639how did they deserve it in any way
THIS MOVIE IS A SAD REFLECTION OF REALITY
Yeah to someone with mental health issues like you, glad they got their ending
@@Randomguy41639 your mom got her ending weirdo aha

facts
God I am so tired of pain and death and crushed hopes for us
Kinda heartbreaking how you never learned their real names until the very end.
As if it took them their very lives just to get noticed!
The way they were talking in the past tense made me feel that they knew they were going to die. Or be separated. At least in death they will always be together.
I cry everytime I watch this movie
Movie fantastic. Such a painful message i cried and cried at ending
Im glad you all told me the end so I dont have observe the disappointment
As well as the rest of these comments. I LOVE THEM ALL. How about little dude. Was he impressed or what. I reallly wanted them to get away too. Dam they killed little man too. How come they didnt leave them alone and let them get away. Leave the boy alive and get the Gold mouth snitch in part two or something.
Powerful
This movie is absolutely amazing I wanted them to get away so bad I broke down 😢
Glad they didn’t now go back to crying lil felon

This is a good movie & this ending was soooooo sad & heart touching 😢
Saddest ending ever
in my head, they are living peacefully in cuba
They should have keep going after hearing the sirens.
Kinda reminds me of the ending of *Set it Off* for some reason...
Same here all we needed to hear was “down on my luck” song

He was literally holding a whole body he wasn’t a threat for them to shoot him
Wrong. A gun could have been in her panties or his waistband. They were considered armed and dangerous
@@xidiamond6851you’ve gotta be kidding me. he wasn’t even holding or going for a weapon lmao
I dropped crazy tears watching that scene at the end. This movie reminds me why being black is a beautiful thing😭
Why did the cop just shoot her 😦
It's a film. Lena Waithe wrote it in the script. Ask her why she wanted two white cops to shoot two black people in that manner when they weren't armed or posing a threat.
@@dublinvids5146 oh wow I have never seen this movie so I just assumed that they did something to "deserve" this execution
@@nanaantwi2390 The film is text book race baiting. The director and the writing have both made comments that they made this film as social commentary on how Police apparently needlessly kill black people. In the film we see a white cop get killed after a traffic stop and they go on the run. Also notice at the end the news report says they were both armed.
th-cam.com/video/yST45Y1y5zU/w-d-xo.html
The film is a disgrace and very irresponsible as it paints white US police officers as if they have no issue with such shootings and are willing to lie about shooting victims being armed. How such a film gets accolades I'll never know but I suppose if there are people like Jussie Smollet willing to put a noose around their own neck and fake lynchings, then clearly, an sadly, there is a desire to fuel these false narratives.
@@dublinvids5146 wait but it’s true...many white officers kill many innocent black people and get away with it by saying they thought they were threatened etc
@@Melsavvy Name these black people that were killed in this manner, where there was clearly no chance they were endangering cops lives or their own. Yes, some people have been killed where you can argue that the person was of no danger, but it's very very rare and most are white, not black. This is nothing but irresponsible race baiting. Daniel Shaver and Justine Diamond were the worst two Police killings I have ever seen and both were white people but still they were not like that portrayed in the movie. This is just what some would like people to think, that white cops would execute blacks because they want to. Get on the right side of history and stop feeding into lies that just lead to racial division. These people, politicians mostly, want blacks and whites not to get along as they can use it to manipulate people to vote a certain way. Malcolm X called the democrats the Dixiecrats for these reason.

I swear the face of the Florida man at 6:32 pisses me off every time 😤, if he had sold them out to help his family or someone in need I’d probably maybe forgive him, but he’s probably gonna use it for weed, jewelry, women, and other shit
I just seen queen and slim fa the first time last night great movie I wish they would wrote the ending they got on the plane and made it
We all we got! 🖤🖤🖤
I wish they could've made an alternate ending where they got away. Unfortunately as brothas and sistahs in this struggle our endings doesn't pan out that way.
This movie really showed that it’s our own kind that’ll turn on us and that they had each from the beginning all the way till there death sadly. I cried in the theater my first time watching and called that nigga who was counting the money a snake💯💔💔😭🐍🐍
That was weed money. He did not turn them in. You don't let someone hit the blunt if you not with them
they were just onna date and that cop did what he did they had no choice
A Great Movie, one of my favorites
