- Did They Make This ELITE Vortex Too Hard...? BTD6 / Bloons TD 6 - this week's vortex might be the hardest one yet, with it being on a tough map in chutes, its slipstream being bugged for the worse and the hefty amount of restrictions! Here's my strategy to take him down, no powers or glitches involved.

also isab: if you restart the round right after you put down the farm, you get an extra $20
The permanent slip-stream effect seems to be a side effect of how Vortex is designed. The bloons only have the slip-stream removed once they pass underneath Vortex, but since Vortex isn't in that lane, they can't pass underneath and get dispelled.
It even happens on the lane Vortex is in. ED can push Vortex so far back along it's lane that it goes behind the spawn point of the bloons in that lane, causing them to also have the permanent slip-stream as they spawn in front of Vortex and can't move under it to dispel the effect.
I reckon they need to change how he's coded. It's pretty bullshitastic.

@@nebulagod same I didn't farm well enough to beat elite tier 5 lych last week and I ended up with lvl 20-40 dart and lvl 1 boat as my only defenses
whats worse about vortex rounds is the fact that some round have literally +1 layer to every bloon which turns out to be a huge massive issue
edit: this layer stuff really only happens on camo based rounds, like on round 24 instead of camo green its camo yellow

Honestly it's harder. This weeks vortex and the vortex on the circly snowy map were in my opinion the hardest boss events we've had ever.

Don’t know if this will be seen by ISAB, but the reason you were leaking ceramics with the boomerang paragon was because of the Vortex’s ability to deflect projectiles after it is sent backwards. The boomer would shoot towards the ceramics but be blocked by Vortex.

give boomer paragon a turbo charge like ability. it could give a decent buff to main attack speed, but also make it increase the glaive orbital dps by a lot. that would help to give boomer p more of a specific niche for some maps, which you kinda need as more paragons are added. we need more meaningful strategy around which paragon to use in each situation beyond "which gives the best single target dps for cost, regardless of map" and "is dart paragon completely busted on this map or just worth going for first anyway?" imo
I think it would be cool if boomagon did a jillion damage with its orbiting glaives. It would make it one of the most placement dependent paragons but potentially super fun and effective when placed well

My first boss was last week with the glitched lych soul, and now this week we have the hardest vortex. These boss fights are rough for me so far.
I would love an easy week for a boss. Like Bloonarius on Monkey Meadow. Something for us newer players who don’t have as much experience with the bosses.
@Bloonpheonix Exactly. And I missed it. A review week of the easier maps is what I want.
NK used to balance out hard weeks with easy weeks, but that seems to have stopped recently. After the new patch comes out, the lych soul bug will be fixed at least.
That doesn’t help for this week’s boss though, which has just been frustrating. As a fairly veteran player it’s been rough, new players have my sympathies. Hope NK turns around and gives us some easy weeks ahead.

@@emily-mb3ph but farming isn't even the hard part. Farm all you want, but if you don't know what towers work you won't beat elite. I mean, look at ISAB! im like 90% sure he would have died without geraldo totems
@@blueyandicy i don’t know why but farming was hard for me lol. once i figured out that, it was easy for me to figure out the best tower/hero combos. ig most people would be the opposite, though
When the hardest multi lane maps get chosen for the only boss that can stun:

i couldn't do the last elite but im pretty proud of myself for getting that far in the first place, managed to save enough for 2 paragons and some support
U have to get all 4 paragons, and some good tier 5 towers for the Lych soul.

To beat this on elite it took 4 players, instas, cashdrops, and one double cash mode to barly make it past the early game. to beat the T5 boss we had a 81 ninja, high boat, boomer, and dart paragons, VTSG and true sun god, plus tons of extra towers to barely beat this boss. I did find it kinda fun tho
It took me 67 cash drops 4 continues and a loot of things
Tried beating this one today only to die from the normal bloons at tier 1 💀💀

Definitely helps that you knew it would be hard going into it. When I started I didn’t greed hard enough and almost immediately died to the slip-stream in tier 2

Why not play btd6?
We have:
Too much chonk corn blimp
Blimp that steals your buffs then does a spy tf2 reference
Blimp that literally shocks you with 440 watts of electricity
Oh thank God dude this is the first vortex Ive been able to fight (since I didnt have my computer for a couple months) and I thought I was just really terrible at BTD6 suddenly, makes me feel a lot better to know its just my first time fighting a really hard week boss. Im also kinda bad at BTD6 suddenly but I feel less sad about it
The mad missiles bouncing off the shield animation is really cool looking
What I don't like about these difficult Bosses is that most players don't even bother to do the Elite Boss on ranked, so I always get top 50% or something while being like 200-300th on the leaderboards
they need to rework ranked elite rewards for sure
on some especially hard weeks if you don’t place in top 50 you might not even get any rewards
You should SEEN the 2 player elite leaderboard. While the best time on 1 player was 3 minutes, and the best one on 3 played 8, the best one for two player was ELEVEN. It was so goddamn sad dude.

I created a regrow farm at 76, let the game run for about 1 hour and made a giga boomerang paragon to beat this but god DAMN did it feel satisfying when that bad boy absolutely shredded t5.

They really should do boss events on easier maps, it lowers the necessity for sweaty plays and allows players to be more creative with their strategies

I disagree. I think the biggest issue with this week was the glitch of the right side having permanent slipstream. If that didn't happen I think this would still be hard but much more reasonable. I like some of the weeks being tougher than others
I feel like vortex was MADE to play on all the difficult maps, since the boss on its own is simple, but can make the harder maps significantly more punishing
Bloonarius is the easy one, lych is in the middle

I'd buy a ticket to NK headquarters with a container of gasoline, douse myself, and run right into their office building if that actually happened
If that was the case we would need perma 3x cash or I’ll be nearly impossible solo
If you put the glue in the middle all bloons will first get slightly popped and then pass over the glue, so if there is a ceram and it gets popped to a bajillion bloons instead of just taking away 1 of the glue's 300 "pierce" it will take a lot more, on the flip side, if you put it early in the track all the random red and greens will also take it's pierce, so maybe it's best to first do a tower that clears everything below cerams, then the glue, then the tack? idk
Next week be like:
Vortex on bloody puddles, in CHIMPS and with 150% moab and bloon speed
Add 2000 percent hp Moab’s and no paragons
i didn’t even come close to beating T5 i had 3 pretty high level paragons and only beat like 2 skulls
If i retried and farmed crazy i could of probably won but i’m not tryna get that sweaty
there also seems to be a oenalty bug at least for me, i got 15s penalty on a round on the 90s dont remmber which one but despite the last bloon not even going further than that vine on the left side, i had no stalling to i was just popping them so thats dum
Recursive cluster was my first 4th tier ever unlocks when I started bloons, but my first tier 5 was crossbow master

I remember when the game was new everyone was upgrading to a 204 farm and I would cringe every time because even though I didn’t crunch the numbers I thought it made the most sense to make a 024! I was so glad when everyone caught on and I was glad I was right about it. Lol

The most efficient sacrifice for makeshift boomer paragon is 25 0-2-2 boomers (to get the 100 upgrade requirements). It can get you to degree 20 instantly without spending too much

You can pretty easily get 150k+ by round 60 if you go for a 2-farm opolis with building marketplaces inside a flavoured trades until you can afford the next big step by selling them (420 or opolis). Then build more 420s the same way and start building central markets instead inside the flavoured trades on round 56. Stop farming after round 58 and wait until round 60. Sell all your marketplaces/central markets (preferably inside the flavoured trades). You will have about 70-80k just by selling the bottom path farms, but if you sell everything you can get at least 150-200k. 🙃

Im not proud to say that in order to beat it I went from $19.5k MM to $12 MM this week. I underestimated this boss and even after I ran dry I had to keep pushing and restart
The reason stuff was leaking from the boomer paragon was because when glaives bounced off the vortex shield they wouldn't seek anything and instead would just bounce away

Ahh the time i ws hard to beat even for the guy im scared of. I miss those days.
i had a mod where all the towers i could buy for free but the upgrades and everything else weren't (i'm on mobile there ain't much mods on mobile) and i barely had enough money for a few spike storms, a homeland and a degree 22 ninja and a degree 26 boat for tier 5
and i wasn't playing elite but isab was playing elite and he managed to afford like double the stuff i could afford when i started round 1 with 10 farms and a super monkey

The reason Boomer Paragon was struggling so much is because its shots got deflected by Vortex' shield so they couldn't even reach those ceramics that passed through
Check the footage again; those Super Ceramics were being slip-streamed by Vortex.
Btw monkey Wall Street auto collets bananas from farms but it has half the collet range of a banana farmer

To be 100% honest, I didn't really find this boss too difficult. Granted I did farm super meta and defended with the perfect amount (almost underdefended).

I (and probably many others) would really appreciate a boss guide for bosses (farming methods, top choices for dmg, etc.). Just a suggestion.

It would make sense if the slipstream bug is due to them placing the vortex spawn on the odd lane even though Vortex spawns on even rounds.
It’s cause the bloons never lose the effect by passing vortex
If you push vortex back far enough then bloons on their lane will also keep the slipstream
The shield deflects boomerang paragon projectiles so the ceramics leak

Yeah this slipstream thing is very annoying, makes the bloons faster even if they're further on the track than Vortex as long as they're on the other lanes. It's just annoying to deal with.

While using Geraldo, it is imperative to get the x5x banana farm. Every potion is a free 25K.
i think it's better to sell an NFT by r30 because it's value goes up slower than farms by that point, unless it's on impopable
Do the projectiles that get reflected by the bosses forcefield do damage to the balloons

Spent at least 20000 in monkey money on resets and barely beat the last tier with two nearly max paragons, temple and every bit of support. It’s ridiculous.
Ive got 43 chimps medals and gave up on this weeks vortex after it kept stunning my towers lol
