Guess since when they become irrelevant AGAIN? Since HE LEFT. So what the fuck does that have anything to do with him? Blame your damn Owner and organization
jay rick SAS is a certified pussy ass bitch...if it wasn’t for the Cowboys topics he wouldn’t have a career lol 😂 I’m surprised he didn’t bring them up on this topic. Fuck SAS
2x time SB Champion 4x time AFC champion 5x Regular Season MVP Broke the record for most touchdowns in a season (55) Broke the record for most passing yards in a season (over 5,500) Broke the record for most passing yards (over 70,000) 2nd player to reach 70,000 passing yards (first was Brett Farve) He was named to the pro bowl 14 times (nfl record) Named to the first team all pro 7 times Currently leads every quarterback in passing touchdowns (539) Tied for the record for most touchdowns in 1 one game (7) 4x Passing touchdown leader 3x passing yard leader 2012 comeback player of the year The list goes on and on he is a top 5 quarterback of all time definitely deserves a statue
This is laughable. Peyton Manning had one of the greatest careers ever. If anything there is not a QB that broke down the play while the play was being played like him. Screw Stephen A. I am not even a Colts fan, and this statement was beyond idiotic.
The problem with your argument is that regular season in football is far more important than basketball because there are far less games (16 vs 82). Also you're forgetting that Peyton has been to 4 superbowls, won 2, been to even more AFC championships and carried the sorry ass Colts to playoffs basically every year hes played. You're also forgetting that both Denver and Indianapolis missed the playoffs when he left...the Colts literally went from being one of the best teams to the worst in the league.
Great to hear a Brady fan with some class and objectivity. I hardly watch the NFL now that Manning’s gone. And just watching last year’s super bowl, I actually turned it off at the beginning of the 4th quarter-because despite all the hype of “the greatest comeback in super bowl history,” I saw 15 minutes on the clock, and if you remove the words “super bowl” about the game, I thought it was a joke that people were acting like Brady couldn’t win that game. To me, I’ve seen him and Manning do that stuff constantly for years and years. I could see the intensity in Brady’s eyes, and to me, I thought what Peyton would have thought in such a game- 15 minutes for Tom Brady to score 3 TD’s against an inexperienced team and their COACHES-he does that on a regular basis. Now does it take some miracle plays and a little luck? Yes, sure it does. But it’s almost “routine” for Brady and Manning to get those miracle plays and that “luck.” And against the Falcons, all the “luck” Tom needed was the Falcons lack of fear of him and the ridiculous way they just acted stupidly on offense like they were coasting. THAT was the luck Tom needed. Peyton would never have taken his foot of the gas against Brady. I don’t know how even NFL coaches just don’t get it that you cannot count those guys out just because you have a big lead. Again, yes it was exciting and “miraculous.” But in the larger scheme of things, to not think Tom Brady can score 3 TD’s in 15 minutes? Only the term “super bowl” made that any different than him doing it in any other game. In all honesty, after watching the Patriots last year only lose 2 games with Tom missing 4 of them, until Tom wears down physically to a certain point, I don’t see any other than Manning who is truly standing in the way of the Patriots or even close. Of course, playoffs in the NFL are single game elimination. There’s a salary cap. Every team has some great players. The Patriots aren’t going to win every game and may not win the super bowl every year. But the combined experience of Brady and Belichek just seems way above the rest of the league on the whole. It truly seems like Manning was the only predictably competitive roadblock in their way. I see no one close to the Pats in playoffs. And people may discount Peyton’s playoff record, etc., but he was there every year. And he didn’t lose to Tom in a playoff game the last 11 years of his career. SAS is also just way off base not understanding that this was a tribute from the city and what had previously been a terrible Colts organization since they left Baltimore. And the idea of trying to compare Oscar de la Hoya to Peyton is really just weird. Oscar got a statue for some reason. But to try to compare the 18 years of consistency Peyton showed to a few boxing matches, and Oscar did not dominate boxing either, is just plain stupid. Final point-Manning is the only 5 time MVP in NFL history. In fact, he’s the only 4 time MVP. And only Brett Fabre has 3 MVP’s. Football is a huge team sport. No one person truly can control it while only playing offense or defense and 21 other people on the field. To only count championship rings is making that person who is 1/22 of the players on the field just not the only factor. Robert Horry has more rings than Jordan. It’s absurd to think that’s the only thing that counts. SAS is just ridiculously off base demeaning the player who holds most career and individual season records and who also won championships. Statue for Horry campaign by SAS.
renaizman - When it comes to Manning, the MVP argument is meaningless. In 3 of his 5 MVP seasons, he wasn’t even the best passer in the game. He really only deserved 2 of them (2004 and 2013). 2003 - Jamal Lewis rushes for over 2000 yards but Manning wins for throwing 4200 yards and 29 TDs. 2008 - Brees throws for 5000 yards and 34 TDs but Manning somehow wins it with 4000 yards and 27 TDs. 2009 - Brees throws for 4388 and 34 TDs and 109 passer rating but somehow Manning wins the MVP with 4500 yards 33 TDs and a passer rating of 99. The MVP award in the Manning years was really just a consolation price that was given to Peyton Manning every other year after he failed to deliver in the playoffs because he was everyone’s favorite lovable loser. Heck, they even gave him a Super Bowl MVP for 247 yard 1 TD and 1 int and passer rating of 81.8 performance😂😂😂😂😂. That passer rating is worse than Brady’s worst Super Bowl performance. By the way, championships do matter. Especially when your 4 interception performance one year and a 3 point offensive output the next cost your team a chance to compete for the championship. Now regarding all the records Manning holds. By next year, everything other the career TD, single season TD and single season passing yard records will be gone. Total wins are already gone. Brady has 20 more wins than Manning in a full season less than Manning. Brady already holds every playoff record. Brees is going to hold every regular season career passing record. So in 2 years when all the old QBs are retired, Manning will take his rightful place as the 3rd best QB of his generation behind the Ultimate winner, Tom Brady and the Ultimate passer, Drew Brees.
fataomar He can't hold Brady's extra large jock, and he's actually a shitty, selfish person. Daddy made sure all Peyton's shady shit was covered up. Starting with his sexual harrasment at Tennessee
He deserves one period. I live in Indiana (Born and raised) and I witnessed first hand what he did for Indianapolis and the whole state of Indiana. He made us winners, put us on the map. He deserves one 1000%
I am as well from Indy. Born and raised. Yeah the colts fucking suck at the moment. Do i root for them every game? Yeah of course! Like most people from Indy do, but dont get me wrong it was fucking hard to do with that idiot Chuck Pagano. Why call him a bandwagon if you dont even know who he is. That was nothing but disrespectful and childish. Grow up man. Where did that hatred even come from? He said nothing disrespectful towards the colts or anyone from Indy. What he said was completely true. Dont be an asshole to him for saying what most of people from OUR state are thinking.
Stephen A hold this L you already said why Peyton Manning deserve a statute. He LITERALLY was the Indianapolis Colts & made them SB contenders for 10+ seasons. 2010 he led them to the playoffs & when he missed all of 2011 what happened to the colts? Worst record in the league & they got the #1 overall pick & Andrew luck. Peyton deserves a statue & I don't even like Peyton Manning
It's hard to take Max seriously. He is so simplistic in his thinking that he always thinks the quarterback who can throw farther and run faster is the better quarterback. He doesn't the complexities of the quarterback position and the intangibles that make a great quarterback. It goes far beyond the ability to chuck the ball 70 yards down the field
You know that Peyton is not famous for his arm strength right? Dont say that he doesnt have the intangibles because on arm talent alone he obviously does not have enough. If he doesnt have other attribute to his game, he would just be another Alex Smith. Watch the game please
Peyton Manning had trash o lines and poor to mild defenses. Also had consistent 12 + win seasons with 5 different coaches....didn't have the luxury of having 10+ defenses in top ten, as well as having the greatest head coach ever for all games he's played.
@@Shawn.Mathew his o line was actually solid at pass protection in Indy most years I agree, but they couldn't create gaps in the run game worth shit. And it was definitely a reduction in pass protection as time went on in Denver. The dude was starting to get hit after damn near every play.
William Brackin I think it's probably the fact that a big part of first take is debates. Somebody has to take the unpopular opinion for arguments sake 🤷🏾♂️
William Brackin They weren't that bad,Jim Harbaugh got them to the playoffs actually. He actually pissed on his shoes in many big games,so I think anyone that has Peyton ranked higher than 4th all time is delusional. He got crushed in 1 SB,threw the pick that lost another one,and the Denver win could have had Trevor Siemian at Qb and won with ease,he actually played kinda below average all season and in the Super Bowl
So being below .500 in his Indy playoff career is statue worthy? So getting BENCHED in Denver the year his DEFENSE won him another one is statue worthy?
But Brady never ever won a Super Bowl with a good defense right? Moron. People hate Manning because he is the greatest and you fucking loser ass fans of shit teams that would be better off having a punter at QB are pissed and jealous. Eat shit.
I hate the ring argument ppl put too much into it yes it matters but it doesn’t define you as a player rings mean great team not great individual player.
Tha Ruthless 1_ AZF so is tent dilfer better than Dan Marino? is Phil simms better than Dan Fouts? the answer is no. John elway that won 2 superbowls is half the quarterback that loss 3 superbowls.
Alquin Gamab You just prove my point. Teams when rings. Individuals like peyton are hof because his individual accomplishments. His stats speak for there self. Peyton is a Legend period.
What are you smoking he isn’t playing golf or tennis he’s playing football which has offense, defense & special teams accomplishments or accolades won’t matter if you didn’t win many games & championships that’s what people remember you firsthand!
Alquin Gamab Are you slow. Its callled indvidual awards. Have you heard of All pro teams. Hall of fame is individual accomplishments. If you dont get that i cant help you.
Pharoahe Walk i will school you fool hall of famers is in the last list of every athlete it’s basically a consolation if they didn’t win many games or if they didn’t win any championship so in other words hall of famers are for losers if championships is not on his or her resume!
Stephen A Smith... Take the day off sir. Go home. Manning was Indiana Football for years. What he did for the city and the franchise is Top 3 of our generation.
SAS doesn't deserve a talk show... Manning is one of all-time Colts he has all major passing records and only QB to win SB with different team basically from scratch.
As a Broncos fan I too thought we'd be better off without him during that SB run, but our O line was just as bad that year as it was last year and having a veteran all time great QB hides some of the flaws a bad o line can give. Osweiler wouldn't have held up behind that line.
The Sphinx but he's the main reason we beat the chargers in week 17,and if we lose to them no 1st seed, and no way in hell do we go to the sb without the 1st seed
The man had 4 mvp's and a super bowl win on his belt while there. He didn't have a good defense half the time. You want him to throw 6 touchdowns a game to win? I think he's earned a statue.
Career playoff passer rating: Brady 88.0 Manning 87.4 Peyton had an abismal defense in Indy and that is the only reason why he won 1 ring with the Colts.
People don't understand what Peyton did to the broncos and the colts. The colts were DEAD before Peyton got drafted they went from the worst team in the league into the most lethal offense on the league. Let's talk about the broncos they were 8-8 before Peyton manning came to Denver people forget that in 2013 Peyton had the best stats by a Quarterback in NFL HISTORY he did have his flaws but that shouldn't knock him.
The fact that Peyton won 1 ring in Indy is incredible. Now that he isn't there to erase all of the mistakes the GM and coach make, Indy is complete garage even though they have some of the best talent in the league. If you gave Peyton Bill Belicheck, how many rings do you think he would have?
dpistons149 um you do realize that manning has won more games against brady than brady against him in the playoffs.........you know, the games that actually matter......you know, those games where your dreams get destroyed through elimination.....shut up
Yeah, the perennial all pro, two time super bowl champion that brought a franchise back from the dead TOTALLY doesn't deserve a statue. Give me a fucking break.
We are talking statue in Indianapolis..so one time superbowl champion, Max is talking about 55TD record well that was in Denver as well..you can't combine everything in his carrer for statue in one city..
Manning was a great regular season QB, but his inability to perform in big games, or in inclement weather, clouds his legacy in a big way. He was impressive, but a statue might be a stretch for him.
solomonwisearse two Super Bowls, four afc championships (3-1 record against Brady) along with four different coaches and two different teams destroy your "big game" theory considering NO QB IN NFL HISTORY HAS EVER WON CHAMPIONSHIPS THIS WAY NO MATTER WHAT EXCUSES U THROW OUT THERE TO THE CONTRARY PEYTON WON PLENNTTTY OF BIG GAMES !!!!!!!! they're all big games and Peyton won a lot of them especially for indie two hundred all time, the first player to ever amass that many as for the i climate weather well u should be slapped cause he had his best seasons playing in Denver where there is plenty inclimate weather. Your just a hater agree to disagree.
Why the Manning/Brady argument again? The reason Peyton gets a statue in front of Lucas Oil Stadium IN Indy is because his greatness built it. He gets a statue because of what he means to the Colts and the city. Has nothing to do with comparing him to Brady, who will not, by the way, get a statue in Foxboro because he does not mean to Foxboro what Peyton means to Indy. So shut up, Patriots fans. This is not about you.
In Indy sure but Denver ....come on. He wasn't in Denver long and he was sorry as shit the year they won the Super Bowl and won in spite of him that year.
and only won 2 chips... SAS point is how do you give a guy a statue when someone that does not have have more rings. Status are not given for "ALMOST" players, they are given to players that close the deal
93brice You think it is a dumb arument for a person to ask why a person that did not win as much as other gets a statue when those people do not? LOL, I can see none of you are athletes. Here is one to remeber, if you are not first you are last. any stats you get on your way to a season where you do not win the chip does not matter. Why do you think Jordan told the warriors owner 73 dont means shit. Peyton is a regular season guy that won one chip with the cults, just one. please stop it
If Tom Brady deserves a statue outside of Gillette, you have to put Bill Belicheck right next to him. Peyton Manning went to 4 Super Bowls, with worse teams than Brady and a different head coach every time. In 2010 the colts went 10-6 with Peyton, the following year they went 2-14 without him. The Patriots were 3-1 without Brady this year, and only lost to the Bills because their 3rd string QB had an injured thumb. I can understand when people say that Tom Brady is the GOAT, but slandering Peyton's career because of his lack of success in the playoffs (with average to poor teams) is absolutely absurd.
Thank you. Finally people that understand the "hidden facts" about the brady-manning convo. People want to jump straight to rings and don't understand that rings are a result of teams. Hence the reason Marino never won a ring. Manning had the personal accomplishments, the things you win by yourself. Brady only has rings over manning.
haitian mo obviously you don't watch football otherwise you would know brady had moss 3 seasons. And i guess rob gronkowski isn't a great player. I guess wes welker (who played his prime years with brady) wasn't a great player. Let's not even begin to talk about the defensive support brady had when manning had little to no one. And when looking had head coaches I think we can both agree bill is better than anyone the colts or broncos had while manning played for them. He had to basically run the entire offense himself.
I'm a Patriots fan and, like Kellerman says, Peyton Manning deserves TWO statues - one in Denver, and another in Indy. Peyton Manning was a PHENOM, and one of the best to ever do it. You gotta show him the respect he deserves and he has earned all of it.
OJ Fetti different teams...seahawks defensive puzzle was more or less solved by that team.. When Peyton played them, their defensive excellence was relatively new to teams and offenses. Almost all of Tom Brady's Superbowl wins were thanks to other players. Tbh I only see the falcon victory as a complete and utter Tom Brady victir...which was an amazing and spectacular performance which keeps him in the argument for greatest of all time. But a couple missed kicks, and Tom Brady's career is a little different
Jesse Rivera most are offensive linemen and receivers...peyton only needs a good O-Line to be successful. He made his receivers. They were probowlers because of him. Yes Marvin and Reggie were a hall of fame talent. But the rest were only known because of him. Dallas Clark was a consistent probowlers and amazing tight end with manning, he left and people forgot about him. That's the blueprint for most other receivers that played with manning, look at what he did, DAY 1 with the broncos....immediately made them Superbowl contenders. (Even tho the team was pretty good with tebow) they weren't going to a Superbowl. But a team that good, all you needed was a decent quarterback to make the Broncos look like a playoff caliber team. Peyton got hurt and the Colts went 2-14. Brady got hurt and the Patriots went 11-5. That right there tells how good the team really was without their respective QBs
Thotty DaGod Peyton has always been stacked with great teams. I mean, I’m not going to keep debating this because it’s pointless but the broncos defense also was the one that put the team on their back (not Peyton) and won the Super Bowl. That’s just my opinion
Regular Season: Completed 2/3 of his passes, threw for 71,490 yards, 539 TD's, 251 INT's, 96.5 QBR, 300+ completions over 40 yards, Post-Season: 14-13 (ABOVE .500) playoff record, 7339 yards, 40 TD's, 25 INT's, 87.4 QBR, 63.2 comp %, 4 SB appearances with different coaches each time, 2 Super Bowl wins Plus, a 3-2 record against the Patriots in the playoffs, for you Brady fanboys. So yeah, I think Peyton deserves a statue. Stephen A, you might want to do a fact check first before you make an opinion
Did Stephen A just put Ben Roethlisberger in the same breath as Peyton Freaking Manning? What a joke. Ben has combined to throw for 50 Tds the last two seasons, Peyton threw for more than that in ONE SEASON and he threw for 49 in another. Stephen A Smith is a disgrace to sports media.
Your joking right? Ben is 13 post season wins, Manning has 14 (with 13 losses). Both have 3 conference titles with 2 superbowl rings. In a playoff game against a tough defense outside in cold weather, I'd take Ben over Peyton any day of the week, twice on Tuesday. I don't give 2 craps about regular season numbers, Ben is a much better clutch performer in big games than Peyton ever was
I get it, so QB wins is the only stat that matters to you. I'm guessing that you don't even understand the concept of a defense and how they help you win in the post-season. You and Stephen A. should go on a date together and you can talk about football and pretend that the other 21 starters don't exist.
I just compared their stats, and you are making it sound like Manning is on some other level than Ben. That's not the case. Manning can rack up insane stats if he's playing in a dome against a mediocre defense. Put Manning outside in the cold, windy snowy weather against a top 5 defense in a playoff game, and I'll take Ben over Peyton any day of the week. If you would pick Manning, then you weren't paying attention to all the times he came unglued in clutch situations.
He put that city on the map! That's why even when he played against the colts in Indianapolis, they flew the blimp and thanked him. U gotta give him respect. Let the statue signify what's he's done for the city!! He's a hero to them.
Sam Theobald That’s not really an accurate portrayal of their playoff records. Peyton beat Brady 3 out of 4 times in AFC championship games and didn’t lose to Brady in a playoff game the last 11 years of his career.
As a Bears/Pats fan, I despised Manning and his Colts and then his Broncos. However, he without a shred of doubt deserves a staute in Indy. Not sure about in Denver though.
his bears sucked ass after that took that FAT L in the SB against the colts and then he went full pussy mode and became a bandwagon pats fan, like all of them do.
The_Archduke Yeah but Aikman was the one who led that team and controlled all of the egos. After that idiot Jerry Jones fired Jimmy Johnson, Aikman was the only person that could maintain any semblance of discipline.
Green Bay was already a mystique franchise when Favre came there. I am from Indiana and I can tell you that Peyton revolutionized Hoosier's thinking on the subject of football. He built Lucas Oil and transformed the city.
Why would you give you Peyton Manning a Statue in Indy.. Maybe a head bust in the Hall of Fame... not a Statue... I guess Indy doesn't have anyone else though lol
I am seventy years old. I have lived thirty miles from Indianapolis my entire life. Peyton Manning changed the city and the culture of central Indiana. The Irsays made Indianapolis an NFL city, but Peyton made it a FOOTBALL city. Until he came along we were always under the threat of losing the team. He changed Colts culture and the fan base. Like Dave Letterman said, “he changed the skyline.” Lucas Oil Stadium was built because the Colts were good. And the Colts were good primarily because we had Peyton. Schools, hospitals, hotels, restaurants, jobs, the cities stature. Man, the benefits we’ve received even peripherally from this guy are uncountable. Unless you lived in Indy for the past 50 years you really don’t understand the argument. Does Peyton deserve a statue? More than pretty much anybody that’s lived here.
I'm from Center Grove n couldn't agree more! Peyton didn't change the culture of Indianapolis n central Indiana, he changed it throughout the state! I grew up with Indiana being a 100% basketball state. By the time I graduated Peyton turned Indiana into a football state. Larry n Reggie were the most beloved athletes that played in Indiana. Indiana loves Reggie but he never got us a championship. Larry is Larry n a born n bred Hoosier. Peyton Manning could beat both if they all ran for governor lol
I'm not a fan of the Denver Broncos fan, or, the Indianapolis Colts. Aside from that, if I were asked "Does Peyton Manning deserve a statue, in your opinion?", I would say "Yes.".
Damn, looks like Stephen A has really jumped on the Brady bandwagon But if they ask Aaron Rodgers deserves a statue and SAS says yes, then something is clearly wrong What's funnier is Damian woody, from the Patriots is DEFENDING Manning lmao
The day after the statue is revealed in Indy, Peyton goes back and spends the whole day standing next to it taking pictures with the fans.. Talk about Class!!
I have lived in Indy since I was born in 83 and there's absolutely no doubt in my mind that Peyton deserves that statute and all other accolades that he is given and I'll tell you why. 2 YEARS before Manning was ever drafted by the Colts, everyone around here knew we NEEDED him in order to save our franchise. He was hyped as the greatest QB ever, and we heard that. While Peyton was in College, the Colts had the opportunity to play a Monday Night Football at home but in order for people in Indy to watch it on TV it had to be a sellout, and it wasn't even close. So people had to go out on the streets and give them away for FREE just so we could finally have a nationally televised game on TV. The following year we drafted Peyton and never worried about that again. I remember going to Indiana Beach the summer following Peyton's Draft and they had a few Colts players signing autographs, and I told my friends that if Peyton isn't signing than I don't care. Of course Peyton wasn't signing autographs at Indiana Beach, but this was before Peyton ever snapped a ball in an NFL game. Plain and simple, Peyton made the Colts. The Cowboys, Steelers, 49er's, and even the Patriots didn't need a star QB to have sellout's at home games and even nationally televised games, but the Colts did. Those teams weren't at risk of losing their team to L.A., but the Colts were. Peyton is a God in Indiana and always will be. Lucas Oil Stadium is the “HOUSE THAT PEYTON BUILT," and deserves to have his likeness out front as a reminder to all future generations that Peyton Manning will forever be a GOD TO INDIANA. I wish the Pacers would build a statute for Reggie Miller but in actuality he didn't make Indiana a basketball state like Peyton made Indiana a football state.
Peyton Manning sits out a year and the Colts get the number 1 pick in the draft with a 2-14. Brady sits out a year the Patriots go 11-5. That about sums it up in my opinion.
I'm a Tom Brady guy and he definitely deserves a statue. He built Lucas Oil Stadium anyways. He's the third greatest QB of all-time behind Brady and Montana. Either Stephen A. is severely downplaying his greatness or his statue requirements are astronomically high lol.
Was Peyton clutch? I would say Peyton was clutch. Passing talent? Noone ran an offense like Peyton did. Was Peyton a leader? Yes. Did he change the position? What aspect of the QB position is he supposed to change? I guess he was an expert at the no-huddle offense. Dynasty? What's a dynasty? The last "dynasty" was the Patriots in the early 2000's and that was plagued with cheating. Did he create something after he left? What, like life after football? I haven't followed him since he retired. I haven't really followed football in the last three years actually. Did he carry a team? Yes. Peyton was everything in Indy. He even made the Colts must watch TV across the country. Since he left, non-Colts fans barely watch the Colts. Remember, Brady has something over Manning, and that is the best system QB of all time. When someone replaces Manning, the team and offense stinks. When someone replaces Brady, the offense is just fine.
MrXxEclipsexX Sure. Anyone remember world’s most stupid play call ever when Seattle got beat by the Patriots? Anyone remember Eli Manning beating Brady he year Brady set touchdown passing records, as did Randy Moss? That “almost” perfect season?
Alex Sellman You must be very uninformed and only read superficial statements about Manning. You can’t know much about what I assume you’re referring to about the accusations of an incident of sexual harassment when he was 19 at Tennessee. Anyone who knows that never ending saga and the woman who accused him cannot find her credible, nor has any of that been hidden. It was litigated 3 times over 8 years. You need to not listen to only one side of a really bizarre person’s allegations.
He started by saying Peyton doesn’t deserve a statue, then went on to explain exactly why he does deserve a statue.
Grumpy
He argued against his own points
Yea basically lol
Grumpy exactly
UBI DRM What in the fuck are you talking about? I don't give a single fuck if Peyton gets a statue or not. WHO'S REALLY TRIGGERED HERE, MR. CAPS LOCK?
Peyton is a loser who has sexually assaulted women.
Lucas Oil stadium is called "the house that Peyton built" for a reason. He transformed that franchise
James Place still doesn't deserve a statue. If he had more rings then yeah
alan19messi agreed
and that is because the damn fool Owner ship him out of town and gave up on him. Dont blame him for what your team did to him.
Guess since when they become irrelevant AGAIN? Since HE LEFT. So what the fuck does that have anything to do with him? Blame your damn Owner and organization

No statue, still not enough
Brady and Manning are the two best quarterbacks in NFL history. Idc what anybody thinks
Scotty Beast aaron Rodgers is up there too
Brett Favre is in there as well
Joe Montana?
I like your different take on the debate. I agree with you.
Brady>manning
Peyton is literally the best player that franchise ever had of course he needs a statue
Jovan Mcnair frank gore is
Rich_ Juve L
Prime LMAO.
Rich_ Juve Christ's sake dude L
Jovan Mcnair BITCH NO HE DOES NOT CALM DOWN
This is laughable. Peyton Manning had one of the greatest careers ever. If anything there is not a QB that broke down the play while the play was being played like him. Screw Stephen A. I am not even a Colts fan, and this statement was beyond idiotic.
Gabriel Carrasco does joe flacco deserve a statue???...he beat peyton in the playoffs then won the supberbowl and tie joe montana record 14tds 👎 ints
I'm the biggest Brady fan, and Manning deserves a statue as much as Brady. For Fu** sake if Peyton Manning doesn't deserve one then who does? Tebow?
fataomar amen
Great to hear a Brady fan with some class and objectivity. I hardly watch the NFL now that Manning’s gone. And just watching last year’s super bowl, I actually turned it off at the beginning of the 4th quarter-because despite all the hype of “the greatest comeback in super bowl history,” I saw 15 minutes on the clock, and if you remove the words “super bowl” about the game, I thought it was a joke that people were acting like Brady couldn’t win that game.
Apparently colin keapernick if thats the case,-_-
He deserves one period.
Thankful Everyday stfu he’s obviously talking about football 🤣 Bobby knight put us on the map if you really wanna say sum
Thankful Everyday or Larry bird straight outta French lick Indiana. Put on from Indiana state vs Magic’s Michigan state
No he doesn’t!
Live & Maintain amen
Live & Maintain the nfl made indy superbowl contenders....
Exactly
lol he said he doesn't think Peyton manning doesn't deserve a statue but then goes on to say that he's a iconic figure 🤔🤔
Brandon Fernandez then he says winning counts after max tells him how many 10 plus winning seasons he had. .
the face Max Kellerman makes when Stephen A says no he does not.. is priceless....😂😂😂
Watch the game please
are you a fully functioning human?
Aston Hinds replayed to see it and lmfao
Aston Hinds molly too lol
Peyton Manning had trash o lines and poor to mild defenses. Also had consistent 12 + win seasons with 5 different coaches....didn't have the luxury of having 10+ defenses in top ten, as well as having the greatest head coach ever for all games he's played.
His o line was really good tho
@@Shawn.Mathew his o line was actually solid at pass protection in Indy most years I agree, but they couldn't create gaps in the run game worth shit. And it was definitely a reduction in pass protection as time went on in Denver. The dude was starting to get hit after damn near every play.
Agree 100%
This almost felt fabricated. I don't think Stephen A. quite understands just how awful Indy was before Peyton showed up.
Don't forget how bad they've been since he left Indy.
But Brady never ever won a Super Bowl with a good defense right? Moron. People hate Manning because he is the greatest and you fucking loser ass fans of shit teams that would be better off having a punter at QB are pissed and jealous. Eat shit.
I hate the ring argument ppl put too much into it yes it matters but it doesn’t define you as a player rings mean great team not great individual player.
zelle908 exactly
zelle908 only a loser with no rings would say something that ridiculous
Tha Ruthless 1_ AZF so is tent dilfer better than Dan Marino?
is Phil simms better than Dan Fouts?
the answer is no.
John elway that won 2 superbowls is half the quarterback that loss 3 superbowls.
Charles Lorsomran Facts
If rings make someone great then why does Bradshaw four rings put him in the greatest qb talk.
This is why winning rings is overrated when it comes to individual accomplishments. Peyton Manning is a legend period.
first football is a team sport second you play a sport to win games to win championships that’s the reason why athletes play the game!
No he’s not
SAS doesn't deserve a talk show... Manning is one of all-time Colts he has all major passing records and only QB to win SB with different team basically from scratch.
he did not win that second ring, his defense won that, Broncos probably would have been better without him
As a Broncos fan I too thought we'd be better off without him during that SB run, but our O line was just as bad that year as it was last year and having a veteran all time great QB hides some of the flaws a bad o line can give. Osweiler wouldn't have held up behind that line.
The Sphinx how were they last year ???????
The Sphinx but he's the main reason we beat the chargers in week 17,and if we lose to them no 1st seed, and no way in hell do we go to the sb without the 1st seed
lmao well said . they were fucking dumpster
the one time I 2000% agree with Max
ExilixE facts me to
Max is far more agreeable than Stephen A. to me. Stephen A relies a lot on emotional arguments.
Nope Stephen A is totally right about this
Peyton is the LeBron James of the nfl never gets enough credit for anything he does
Swiftsmoke 3000 absolutely agree
Tom Brady is the Kobe
Jaideep Singh nope! Brady is the JORDAN
Ok I can agree to that but I will say more like kobe
James sucks
SAS stay off the weed
Jason g weed doesn't make you this stupid! SAS is on CRACK!
Da weeeeeeeeeed
da weeeeeeeeduh
Jason g BITCH WHY DON’T U
The point we're all missing here is that it's not just what he did on the field, but also for the city of Indianapolis.
Exactly. That has to always be considered!
Still not enough
@@strongman4451 nice b8 m8
That’s a AUTOMATIC! failed drug test for SAS
zelle908 the British special units
The man had 4 mvp's and a super bowl win on his belt while there. He didn't have a good defense half the time. You want him to throw 6 touchdowns a game to win? I think he's earned a statue.
Career playoff passer rating:
Brady 88.0
Manning 87.4
Peyton had an abismal defense in Indy and that is the only reason why he won 1 ring with the Colts.
You’re an idiot.
Zordax they were dead with him.
They had Marshall Faulk
Zordax it shouldn't but apparently it does for some maybe those are salty colts fans regardless Peyton is very important to the broncos period
The colts were close to the browns before he got there
By the way SAS need to be drug tested
Jean Carlos Rivera Rodríguez yeah IKR
How many fucking names do you have?
he must have taken a day off his anti drug life n smoked some good shit because what he just said is blasphemy
Jean Carlos Rivera Rodríguez "HE IS ON DRUGS"
IMMEDIATELY
i almost force choked stephen a smith looking at this video
Lucas oil stadium - the house that manning built. Yes he deserves a statue
The fact that Peyton won 1 ring in Indy is incredible. Now that he isn't there to erase all of the mistakes the GM and coach make, Indy is complete garage even though they have some of the best talent in the league. If you gave Peyton Bill Belicheck, how many rings do you think he would have?
Maybe 2...bill isn't good without Tom and Peyton comes up small in big moments
WTF, of course Peyton Manning deserves an statute without him t Colts & Indiana would be illrevant
Damond Thompson, to this day they are still irrelevant
Mr.Brown , are you on drugs
Damond Thompson patriots own their asses
your point has nothing to do with the topic of the video
dpistons149 um you do realize that manning has won more games against brady than brady against him in the playoffs.........you know, the games that actually matter......you know, those games where your dreams get destroyed through elimination.....shut up
Peyton Manning is the greatest Colt ever. Why doesnt he deserve a statue, SAS?
MikeYezzy Gaming greatest colt ? It's close. Johnny Unitas and also the tight end mackie are legends as well.
Peyton Manning is not greater than Johnny Unitas.
@@perezmoore4333 Manning is easily NOT even close to the greatest Colt ever.
Yeah, the perennial all pro, two time super bowl champion that brought a franchise back from the dead TOTALLY doesn't deserve a statue. Give me a fucking break.
John O'Malley HE ISN'T GOD
John O'Malley Von miller won the games not manning... manning had more interceptions than touchdowns that year...
look at at Max Kellerman's face when Steven A says no lol
Why the Manning/Brady argument again? The reason Peyton gets a statue in front of Lucas Oil Stadium IN Indy is because his greatness built it. He gets a statue because of what he means to the Colts and the city. Has nothing to do with comparing him to Brady, who will not, by the way, get a statue in Foxboro because he does not mean to Foxboro what Peyton means to Indy. So shut up, Patriots fans. This is not about you.
lol u trippin bout brady. Both of them deserve statues
Mary Cage stay off acid
Lay off the bath salts Mary.
Mary Cage fuck you mary
HAHAHAHAHA
They clearly set these debates up before the show. "Hey, Stephen A, you take the 'doesn't deserve the statue' side, okay?"
He deserves TWO! One in Indianapolis and one in Denver
R. Kurita I rather have von Miller over Peyton
jorge lomeli I'd rather have Peyton one one side, and Von Von sacking Brady in the other.
Rick DLC That would be great
In Indy sure but Denver ....come on. He wasn't in Denver long and he was sorry as shit the year they won the Super Bowl and won in spite of him that year.
+infopocalypse blahg he did alright
This is the most asinine take Stephen A has ever given.
All time passing touchdowns leader, all time passing yards leader, 2x super bowl champion, multiple time mvp, but doesnt deserve a statue. K
0:06. The look on Molly’s face is hilarious
LOL what? Top 5 QB of all time the team he played most of his career for, are you serious?
and only won 2 chips... SAS point is how do you give a guy a statue when someone that does not have have more rings. Status are not given for "ALMOST" players, they are given to players that close the deal
I think you meant to tag the other guy haha
That is the dumbest argument I've ever heard he has the stats and he has two super bowls. He may not have 5 or 6 but he has them end of story.
Peyton is a regular season guy that won one chip with the cults, just one. please stop it
wizdumbbk bro he changed the game and won 5 mvp, broke every record. top 5 qb all time. Colts is trash without Peyton til this same day lmao
hahaha the facial expressions as soon as Stephen said "No he does not!"
People just want to praise TB and forget about Bill.
Thank you. Finally people that understand the "hidden facts" about the brady-manning convo. People want to jump straight to rings and don't understand that rings are a result of teams. Hence the reason Marino never won a ring. Manning had the personal accomplishments, the things you win by yourself. Brady only has rings over manning.
Alex Miller well said.
Wtf Peyton had Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne his whole career tom Brady had Randy moss 1 season
haitian mo obviously you don't watch football otherwise you would know brady had moss 3 seasons.
I think Peyton was better than Tom Brady, Tom Brady always had a better team
Thotty DaGod look what the Seahawks did to him and look what Brady did to the Seahawks.
Not true at all. Look up the amount of pro bowlers manning played with and the amount tom Brady played with. It's an insane difference
Regular Season: Completed 2/3 of his passes, threw for 71,490 yards, 539 TD's, 251 INT's, 96.5 QBR, 300+ completions over 40 yards, Post-Season: 14-13 (ABOVE .500) playoff record, 7339 yards, 40 TD's, 25 INT's, 87.4 QBR, 63.2 comp %, 4 SB appearances with different coaches each time, 2 Super Bowl wins
Plus, a 3-2 record against the Patriots in the playoffs, for you Brady fanboys.
I don't give 2 craps about regular season numbers, Ben is a much better clutch performer in big games than Peyton ever was
joneslt LMFAO
If you would pick Manning, then you weren't paying attention to all the times he came unglued in clutch situations.
joneslt LMFAOOO
Welp its been proven, SAS still chats with skip bayless lol
He put that city on the map! That's why even when he played against the colts in Indianapolis, they flew the blimp and thanked him. U gotta give him respect. Let the statue signify what's he's done for the city!! He's a hero to them.
Peyton is 3-2 against Brady in the playoffs...
Sam Theobald That’s not really an accurate portrayal of their playoff records. Peyton beat Brady 3 out of 4 times in AFC championship games and didn’t lose to Brady in a playoff game the last 11 years of his career.
I am not a pats fan but when peyton faces tom it is literally a shoot out
Brady is 11-6 against Peyton overall.
@@apachified3682 yes but has a losing record in the most important games. The playoffs
As a Bears/Pats fan, I despised Manning and his Colts and then his Broncos. However, he without a shred of doubt deserves a staute in Indy. Not sure about in Denver though.
Jeremy Jackso
Jeremy Jackson Denver fan, and no he does not deserve a statue in Denver. But Stephan A trippn lmao
Jeremy Jackson facts
Jeremy Jackson wait u have 2 teams? Hmmmmmmmm lol
his bears sucked ass after that took that FAT L in the SB against the colts and then he went full pussy mode and became a bandwagon pats fan, like all of them do.
I see Stephen A is trying the Skip Bayless approach for ratings
Stephen 's take is almost as bad as a hairline WTFFF The disrespect
ikr, I've never was a big fan if him. but he deserves one
If HE doesn't deserve one then who does lol We're talking about Peyton Manning here smh
KILLER9783 finally someone with common sense that isnt all over Mannings dick
You want a statue for a guy who won you 1 ring in 12 some what years.... Can I have one too?
Yeah become a top 5 qb of all time and you'll get one.
Ima Cowboys fan but Troy Aikman doesn’t deserve a statue
zelle908 he had great talent around him.
Aikman was never that great.
That team deserves a statue
zelle908 facts Troy aikman is not that great in my book and to a cowboy to say that says a lot
LMAO
The_Archduke Yeah but Aikman was the one who led that team and controlled all of the egos. After that idiot Jerry Jones fired Jimmy Johnson, Aikman was the only person that could maintain any semblance of discipline.
$50 says he completely agrees with ray Lewis having a statue in Baltimore 😂😂😂
It's not Mannings fault the other teams like Niners don't build statues for Rice or Montana. GTFO here SAS
Jesse Alexander they should
Jesse Alexander the 49ers have a entire museum @Levis Stadium dedicated to the 49ers greats, which includes statues of Montana, Rice and others
If Peyton gets a statue in Indianapolis than Favre should've had a statue in Green Bay years ago.
Green Bay was already a mystique franchise when Favre came there. I am from Indiana and I can tell you that Peyton revolutionized Hoosier's thinking on the subject of football. He built Lucas Oil and transformed the city.
You're right he probably does but its not mannings fault GB didn't want to build one for him.
drinkingpoolwater good point
Van PastorMan AGREED...PEYTON HAS PUT IN WORK IN INDIANAPOLIS AND NOT TALKING ABOUT FOOTBALL...
drinkingpoolwater tell that to the packers
lol Peyton should have a statue in Indianapolis in his Broncos uniform haha
Oh man there would be hell to pay! Lol!
*complete turnaround of franchise
*builds new stadium
*changed the way qb is played
Still doesn't deserve statue
Smith this is Indiana of course we are gonna put up a statue of Peyton. I'm not even a colts fan and Peyton is deserving of a statue .
kim sung gregorvich Well, I’d say they can type a little better and spell and use better grammar than “yall o ver there,” wherever that may be.
Wtf is SAS talking about???? Peyton Manning doesn't deserve a statue...WHAT!?!?!
Stephen a has been smoking the weeeeeeeeeed. damn straight #18 deserves a statue. he's an all time great and class act!!
I dont believe Stephen A. should have a job at espn
They should fire him and build a statue for him
Robert James after this no he should not
Without question he knows nothing about the game of football
I bet Stephen has noooooooo problem with Ray Lewis having a statue.
Did he forget the best post game interview his rookie year lol. "PLAYOFFS!!??, PLAYOFFS!!? I just hope we can win a game."
I'm not a fan of the Denver Broncos fan, or, the Indianapolis Colts.
Aside from that, if I were asked "Does Peyton Manning deserve a statue, in your opinion?", I would say "Yes.".
Come On, Peyton Does Deserve A Statue After Everything He Did With The Colts, He Brought Indiana A Title
Damn, looks like Stephen A has really jumped on the Brady bandwagon
But if they ask Aaron Rodgers deserves a statue and SAS says yes, then something is clearly wrong
What's funnier is Damian woody, from the Patriots is DEFENDING Manning lmao
The day after the statue is revealed in Indy, Peyton goes back and spends the whole day standing next to it taking pictures with the fans.. Talk about Class!!
He transformed the franchise completely and did it all without wearing a single pear of uggs. Respect. Him.
You're trippin' Stephen A.! Peyton Manning damn well deserves a statue for Indy!
Peyton Manning is the GOAT of football. SAS is just a straight up hater
SAS sound like a complete fool right there..Peyton deserve a statue in Ind...
Lol look at everyones faces and heads lol when Stephen A says no he doesnt not. They was like he gots to be high or something 😂😂
I wish the Pacers would build a statute for Reggie Miller but in actuality he didn't make Indiana a basketball state like Peyton made Indiana a football state.
stephen a smith deserves to get laid off by this comment
it's a statue outside of the Colts stadium not canton Ohio come on Stephen A Smith
Exactly. If other teams want to put a statue of their greatest player outside their stadium, that's cool too. SAS is just hatin'.
He can get one there too
I highly doubt that Tom Brady would win multiple Super Bowls with a different coach.
Est Mer tom Brady doesn't get carried by his defense tho
Drowsy agreed
Drowsy for one season. He didn’t have that defense the others
Est Mer who has. nfl fans are so stupid doesn't understand the concept of team efforts n talent available to succeed
Stupid comment- the coach doesn’t throw the ball for him
Stephen A. is soooooo wrong. Just name it Peyton Manning field now to piss off Stephen A. lmao
Peyton Manning sits out a year and the Colts get the number 1 pick in the draft with a 2-14. Brady sits out a year the Patriots go 11-5. That about sums it up in my opinion.
Payton “ The Sheriff ” Manning. Enough said !
He’s tripping TOP 5 all time
he's the Goat
@@sibiantony6397 no he's not....Brady's the 🐐 and anybody who has an IQ above a cucumber knows that.
This the only time max makes sense😂😂😂
Eloheem DaGod max always makes sense
Love how both Molly and Max are in disbelief at the start when Stephen A said “No he does not” to this day
The face everyone made when Stephen A said that he doesn't deserve a statue is hilarious
I'm a Tom Brady guy and he definitely deserves a statue. He built Lucas Oil Stadium anyways. He's the third greatest QB of all-time behind Brady and Montana. Either Stephen A. is severely downplaying his greatness or his statue requirements are astronomically high lol.
Matt dub I'm A colt and giant fan so we may have bad blood but I agree with you
+JL-CptAtom Graham... Stauback... Rodgers... Marino... Elway... i could maybe see the argument for elway but the others are BLASPHEMY
Hm hm you realize the colts tanked for luck and we’re almost fined for it right?
55 td's gadamnnn
Tyree Logan did it with Denver
And a 43-8 ass whooping in the biggest stage of football...
anyone remember when he got annihilated by Seattle
MrXxEclipsexX Sure. Anyone remember world’s most stupid play call ever when Seattle got beat by the Patriots? Anyone remember Eli Manning beating Brady he year Brady set touchdown passing records, as did Randy Moss? That “almost” perfect season?
renaizman 😂 just saying.. everyone that season picked the record breaking broncos to easily win against the inexperienced team of Seattle
anyone remember when seattle didn’t run the ball at the goal line
Statue also represents what he did off the field too... Literally built another children's hospital
LMFAO Molly's reactin to SAS saying taking that breath was one of the greatest I've seen in first take. "Oh he's about to say some Skip Bayless Sh**"
STEVEN A IS CRAZY
how about who cares its just a fucking statue, how does it affect Steven A. in any negative way.
SAS needs help
look, if my boss thinks I deserve a statue and he has the means to make it, then I deserve a statue.
Stephen A. deserves a statue, next to the factory where they manufacture porta-pottys.
I agree with Stephen A., There is a lot of dirt not a lot of people know about Manning, ask Bill Burr about it lol
Nigga u most be on some shit. Fuck u mean not a lot of people know about Peyton Manning
Xx_mickeymike_xX You lost your right to debate me by calling me the N word. Try a better approach next time.
Alex Sellman You list all credibility talking about word of mouth.. smh. Try a better approach next time
blastphamous lol
you're kidding, right?
There faces in the beginning when he says peyton does not deserve a statue are hilarious
Did yall see max face when SAS said he didn't deserve a statue lol😂😂😂😂😂
