The Washington Commanders will not be where they’re at right now if they haven’t drafted Jayden Daniels. They may not have the most talented team, but when he arrived, he’s changed the trajectory of this franchise in one season
Yeah Caleb 17-1 ints thrown since sept 28th while Jayden threw 7 ints since then. Caleb will be cursed on the horrible coaching and ownership of the bears . If he was on the commanders they’d have 2 losses not 5 . 20-5 td/int to Jayden’s 21/8 . Caleb 4-1 td/int while Jayden 2.75/1 int
Mark Rypien threw five touchdown passes in a single game back in 1991, with Coach Gibbs leading the team. That game made me feel like a kid again-I was in high school at the time. I believe it was against Atlanta when Rypien threw six touchdowns. At that moment, I knew we were bound for the Super Bowl and destined to win. Those were the good old days, with Gibbs as the head coach, the Cooke family owning the team, and Washington playing at RFK. "Hail to the Redskins" would echo with every touchdown. This moment feels just as special. JD5 is a lock for Rookie of the Year, and Coach Quinn should definitely be in the running for Head Coach of the Year.
That 1991 Washington team was one of the greatest teams in NFL history and won the SB. I was in college then and I agree it brings back such great memories. Can't wait for the next decade-plus of JD stays healthy.
Our team has picked in the top 5 of the draft for so many years. Jayden has turned that locker room into a football mega church. Everyone there is a believer and it’s incredible. 10 wins with 2 games left to play… HOW IS NOT THE DEFINITION OF MVP?!
Lifelong Vikings fan here. I remember exactly where I was during that 1998 season NFC Championship game against the Falcons (undefeated up until that game). And the 2009 season NFC Championship game against the Saints. Both games down to the wire and lost by 3 points. We've had a mixed history full of disappointments, no super bowl wins, and no appearances since 1977. (Not to mention the 2017 season NFC Championship loss against the Eagles or the 2000 season loss against the Giants, or 1987 season loss to the Redskins...by 3). So there's a reason why even the most devoted Vikings fans are like this. "Is this our year?" Almost, but no...followed by laborious rebuild stretches...again and again, since those 4 Super Bowl losses in the 70's. We're hopeful, we're a bit broken, but we love our team.
Actually they lost to the Buccaneers in the regular season (I was there for that game) for their first loss. The falcons were their only other loss that year in the championship game. @@AndyAcker
I’m so sick of hearing can Goff and the Lions play outdoors and in the cold. The Answer is yes and end of conversation. I don’t want to hear another talking head being that up ever again.
Dan Campbell should be COTY without a doubt. To take a franchise that's an annual loser and turn it around into an annual contender is nothing short of incredible.
We are still beating the dead horse of "lions defense is suspect because they give up yards"? They dont allow points (besides the bills). That narrative has been old since they started it when Aiden got hurt.
That's what I'm wondering. The Lions already beat them. If Lions and Vikings both win next weekend, and Vikings win against them last game, they'd split and then go to the tie breaker, I thought. Which Detroit owns.
@ what?? No they’re not. They’re 100% on a team or 100% off of a team. He was unsigned. He had no contract. Crowder was 100% free…hence, free agent. When a player is released, or not signed… they’re OUT of the league.
Do you remember when they talked like that about Lamar? Wonder if the Commanders QB will be raked over the coles if he doesn't win a Superbowl after 2 years?
The Lions defense continues to stop the run - and that plus their offense is why they win by almost 2 TDs a game and all your analysis continues to miss the mark. The Lions only weakness is Allen/Lamar/Mahomes.
Jason Garrett is so much better game announcer than Tom Brady! I love Tom Brady, but his game announcing is so much like G Golly Such and SO BORING!!!!!!!

You see what I just said if we don't know anything it didn't happen is just a part of your imagination you are a dreamer

You’re just gonna stay here and talk about the Washington commanders if they just won the Super Bowl? I’m not saying they’re not a good team. I don’t act like Jalen hurt wasn’t out for 3/4 of this game.
The first time they played, JD had busted up ribs and Washington was leading going into the 4th quarter. Washington had 5 turnovers and shut down Barkeley in the second half of this game. And last I checked, the QB doesn't play defense. Nobody gives any sympathy for injured players. JD punked the #1 defense in the league, it happens. Any given Sunday, right?
Everyone fluffing the Commanders for great clock management, but it's an incomprehensible outrage that Dan Campbell goes for it on 4th down so he ends the game on offense.

@dannylengyel5830 I agree but right now the NFL is too much of a quarterback driven League when it comes to everything I can't remember the last time a non quarterback won the MVP award if you know please tell me
The Eagles lost because a second Washington player piled onto Hurts maybe helmet to helmet (since Hurts ended up concussed). They want to get to the playoffs SO BAD that they're willing to damage the future of other players. If Hurts wasn't hurt and played the whole game - and if the Eagles coaches didn't call for QB draws - he would have been able to lead the team to more points.

@YoRepLay why aren't you comparing their whole seasons? They both have had ups and downs. Stop cherry picking

It was 6TDs and 442 yds.

Lions fan. I have to admit I cheered on the Red..Erm Commanders in that game.
Yeah me too. The last touchdown by Commenders made my day
A great game to watch
this is a safe space real fans still call them the Redskins HTTR!
It's ok they are the Redskins
Thanks! As a Skins fan I pull for the Lions! Would love to see Detroit get a Super Bowl!!
I comped JD to Steve Young. He can carve up a defense and scramble to make a big play if it breaks down. Amazing

There wasn't much competition this year, so it should be a lock.
JD makes DMV great again 🎉😂

So far so good!😮😅😊
Eagles fans: But Jalen was hurt.
Lions fans: That's cute.
Understandable comment but if Lions lose Goff to injury they aren’t winning any games. A good starting qb is worth multiple other position players
