Pye seems to be derived from yoruba péye which means call, so call on Obatala (God of iron) it's an invocation of a god.
Such an underrated character in the series. According to Xbox Achievements & PSN Trophies only 1-2% of fans played & completed his DLC.
That’s actually so sad. I even bought this DLC, I really liked the idea at first, from a slave to a free man, pirate to an Assassin legend who went on to free his fellow men and women in the Caribbean. I felt like it gave even more depth to Ade, and despite him not having really been a true protagonist with a long screentime, he really was a great character.
in those days we appreciate ubisoft that they made a masterpiece and truthtelling story about slavery

He was set on the path by Edward Kenway, but found his own way towards heroism. He knew his death would come, as it had for so many others, but faced it as a man, and an Assassin.

Honestly, I think Ade should have been the Mentor of the Assassins in the colonies. He was an amazing character and I am glad that we get to see him fight for his people. Rest in peace, my friend.
I think he would have been the mentor of the West Indies Brotherhood had he not been killed vcuz the man has heritage there and knows the region quite well
It truly shows they wrote and developed a character well whenever you can make a connection to them and wish for the best, but I also appreciate the writing that not everyone gets a happy ending, especially if you're someone in the business of killing: you're bound to eventually get a target on your back, and one time your skills just won't be enough.

This song comes from voodoo, for example in Haiti we sing it for a special loa called Ogou. And the Haitian version was used, the text is in the Creole language. Good song

It would be very touching if the one shay killed is Achilles instead of Adewale. and Years later, the one who become the mentor of Connor Kenway is Adewale.
Even if Edward Kenway is not so much of an assassin and much more of a pirate, still it would be nice if there's a scene where Ade told Connor, that he is indebted to correct Edward Kenway, Connor Grandfather's one last mistake.
it is by killing Haytham Kenway and teach Connor the way of the Assassin Order.
What makes assassin creed franchise good is their Main Protagonist and their connection between each other.
Like Altair and Ezio, also like Ezio and Shao Jun, they're connceted.
It would be nice if somehow at least the third franchise is connected to the Fourth Franchise through Adewale, an African-Caribean Master Assassin, who once the Quartermaster of Edward Kenway the Pirate crowned as The walking Turmoil and Sea Calamity as well as the Londonium Master Assassin.
And now Adewale is Connor Kenway Mentor.
Edward Kenway also leave a legacy to the Assassin Order which later were given to Jacob, the next Master Assassin of Londonium, as well as the Protag of AC Syndicate.
It is very nice, but well Shay Cormac make it impossible to happen tho.
It is clear that Uh bee soft is good story teller, and also a bad one. They give the fans a good story, yet a stupid one alos included.

***** Probably. But both factions are not invented by the company. They actually exist. Ubisoft, on the other hand extended it to the Renaissance, up until the modern day.
In reality, the Templars died out after the Templar Grand Master Jacques de Molay was burned in the stake on March 18, 1314.
In Assassin's Creed, After Jacques de Molay burned, the Templars went underground to rise again.
In reality, the Assassin Order weakened after The Mongols besieged Alamut on December 15, 1256. But re-captured it for a while, and finally, in 1275 they were "rekt" so hard and their Order has been destroyed.
In Assassin's Creed, I don't know what happened, but seriously, I hate the real life Assassins. They're illusive and drugged. Whereas in AC, they're freethinkers, filled with wisdom.
