Fantastic shots, really like the golden light rabbits, especially the one of the two 'kissing', very cute. For me I can really only go out early at golden hour sunrise or late for golden hour sunset, as if I was out all day (regularly) my wife wouldn't be too happy, she'd think I'm avoiding her 😂

I often shoot in the mountains and if there are peaks in the east, golden hour doesn't really happen. It goes from blue hour to harsh(ish) sun because the angle is already pretty high by the time the sun clears the peaks. I guess I'll have to go to the other side of the mountains! :)
I know the feeling. I sometimes photograph birds at the bottom of a deep valley. By the time the sun has got high enough for bright light it can be quite harsh. So you're right, a lot depends on the location. Thanks for watching.
I would just like to say another excellent video and totally agree morning and early evening are my two favourite times of the day.I would also like to agree that this time of year the early mornings are brilliant as there is nobody about for hours giving you the time to catch those wildlife images that people miss.👍

As an aside, I just discovered Capture One Express (for Sony) is free. I was looking for lightroom alternatives before purchasing lightroom (doing some research before buying), and I'm going to save ££ and give Capture One a real go.

Hi Scott. Great video. I used to stay out sunrise to sunset but stopped after going back into the office after Covid restrictions lifted. I have not done that in a long time. I usually get out 30 minutes before sunrise but my lens does not focus well in low light so I no longer bother. But I do get some great shots of places where the sun beams are breaking through the darkness of morning/forest. I’m hoping to change my lens out early in the new year. I want to be able to get those moments of blue light. Anyway, I stay out until the wildlife becomes less active, about noonish, but you’re right. I should be able to stay out longer occasionally. hello lovely video, i didnt even know blue light was a thing! i have a question, i recently got a nikon d7200 witch is great i love it but my cheap tamron 15-270mm is starting to feel to short! Do you have any recommendations of lenses sub 300$ for wildlife?

Hi. Glad you enjoyed it. About your question - is that in US dollars? If so, you'll probably struggle to find a long lens going up to 600mm for $300. Keep your eyes out for a used Tamron 150-600mm, but I think you'd be lucky to find one for under $500. It's a good lens though, so if you can save the extra money for it, it would be worth it. Hej. Det är verkligen lärorikt att kolla på din kanal, märks att du har stor kunskap och är duktig på det du gör. Stor tack för det. Nu kommer en fråga. Jag är på jakt efter en begagnad sony kamera. Varför har du valt a9 som kamera??
Tack. Jag är glad att du gillade videon. Jag har haft Sony A9 i cirka 4 år nu. En av de främsta anledningarna till att jag valde den var för att den kan fånga 20 bilder i sekunden - vilket är bra för actionbilder. Det finns nu kameror som kan fånga mycket fler bilder per sekund, men jag känner inte att jag behöver uppgradera eftersom 20 är gott. Andra orsaker var det dynamiska omfånget - igen när det kom ut var det en av de bättre kamerorna för dynamiskt omfång, men nu finns det bättre. Det är 24mp vilket är tillräckligt med upplösning. Det finns nu kameror med mycket högre upplösningar, men dessa tar mer datorkraft och är långsammare att redigera. så 24mp räcker för mig. De andra sakerna jag älskar med A9 är färgerna. Den återger färger riktigt bra. Om du letar efter en begagnad kamera som är mycket kapabel skulle A9 vara ett bra alternativ. Men vilka är dina huvudsakliga behov av en kamera? Jag kanske kan föreslå några kameror för dig att tänka på.
@@WalksOnTheWildSide hej! (Gillar den videon) jag har sätt all:) ha ha. Jag har haft en sony 6000 med 200-600 objektiv som jag har med varje dag. Jobbar som Arborist så vistas i parker mm varje dag och Tycker naturen är det finast vi har. Tycker bilderna blir bra men skulle vilja ta det ett steg till och ha en kamera med en riktig sensor. Tänker ha kameran många år framöver, samt till några resor som är inbokade. Svalbard, Sydafrika
Nice video but worthless to me since where I live the public accessible areas for wildlife are in parks that open at 8AM and close at dusk. This is less a problem in winter when sunrise is closer to 8AM but in July access roads are locked until later than Golden Hour.
Surely there are other places to photograph wildlife - wildlife is everywhere. Some local woodland perhaps? Your garden? Or even urban wildlife? Afterall, photographs of pigeons in cities have won international photography competitions in the past - it doesn't have to be somewhere remote. Thanks for watching nonetheless.
