@barberslounge great. I am going to check it out soon. Which babyliss blade cuts the closest to skin? I hate shaving by blade so need the best trimmer that cuts close to skin. I am not even sure the babyliss is the best. Never had a high end trimmer before. Any idea is much appreciated.
@@ric0816 they all have the same ability to cut close, it just depends on how close you zero gap it. If you don’t like shaving with the blade. Buzz it down with the trimmer and then use a foil head shaver to get it even closer
Are there any safety concerns with having the blades close as possible? I saw someone’s statement regarding it is not safe to have have clippers all the way zero gapped. What is tour expertise knowledge and opinion on this?
@@tenioladeji7681 if it’s too close the trimmer can chew up the skin because the blade that does the actual cutting is too close, it’s all on the video
Ok thanks, i went ahead and made my own adjustments. When screwing the blade back in place, I tried to center it as much as possible on top of the wider blade. After screwing it in place, I noticed that the blade can still shift sideways especially after I turn the trimmer on and then off, I noticed that the blade was positioned far left or far right of the wider blades sometimes. Is this normal, or should my cutting blade be centered and not be able to shift sideways after setting adjustments in place and after done using it? Bare with me for the questions, I just want to make sure everything is right.
@@tenioladeji7681 heard to tell without seeing it, do the roll test on the back of your hand and see if it chews you up at all. If it doesn’t you should be good. Sounds like you’re just talking about the rotating positions the motor puts the cutting blade in
please help me!! i have the trimmer in gold. it pulls hair when i use it from down to up motion. but works fine if i invert the clippers and use them from up to down motion. i hope that makes sense. i went to my local barber with the clippers and he said oh they are like that, get a different trimmer and showed me a stylecraft one. but i have seen people use this trimmer from down to up so i know there’s something definitely wrong with mine. any help please?
Sounds like the stationary blade is digging into your skin from a certain motion, OR the blades are dull. I would get new blades and get the fine tooth blades, might help
I just bought the new snapfx trimmer yesterday and while using it today, it bites a lot, pinches the skin the hair, and cant even use it on the beard. Should i try adjusting the blades maybe or smth?
@@barberslounge that too, but it happens even on head while cutting or doing the edges with the edge of the trimmer. Ive used the old version skeleton fx and i know they’re a bit sharp but with these new onea I can’t work at all
@@Darkz-25 yea sometimes that stationary blade is too thin and pointy and gets caught in peoples pores. I’m actually looking into a method to dull it down a little bit so that doesn’t happen. You can always swap the old stationary blade in and keep the new cutting blade too
I despise anything Stylecraft or Gamma related, most of it is overpriced Garbage purchased for very cheap & upsold for incredibly high profit margins. I am personally thinking of purchasing the Snap FX trimmer & replacing the blade with a TPOB Gold Psycho 6.9 blade which is better than the GoldFx blade which is renowned for being one of the best. The Graphite blade just keeps it cooler for a little longer, that's all! As for wanting the Actual best Clipper, you are better going for the JRL Onyx, which is top quality build & Machining!
Nice video! What is your one favourite trimmer at now?
Stylecraft Instinct
Thanks for the video
Gap tool 🔗 available?
Great video. What's the actual difference between the 3 trimmers?
