That would have been so cool back in the day! I love those easter eggs, is what made a sim really shine! At least in our reality they made it back to home.
This would actually make for an interesting Sci-fi drama/thriller movie/show. The planes vanish in 1945 only to show up 80 years later. In the present day the young pilots are trying to adapt to modern day life and come to terms with lost family, and there may or may not be some overarching plot about what and why this has happened to them.
Wow, thank you Mr. Damson, this page is a little treasure also with a lot of background infos & presentation :-) Have to try out the mods, unbelievable love and work to this fantastic sim by Pixelwings... Just one more question: Im using the 2.0 Gold version just like you, but would like to try out the version 1.2 additional. Do you have any info where to get this possibly ? One of the things I'm not happy about is to start missions with master arm in on-position...
@@rainerrosshirt Here you go: archive.org/details/001585-FleetDefender Run with DOSBox, set cycles=27000, more values may break the game, also there are still some bugs like missiles dissapearing on rare occasion. 2.0/Gold version fixed that. Also note that pre-2.0 versions don't have India and North Korea campaigns with Pacific-based squadrons - those were added as part of the Scenario expansion.
Best game of all time. Great to still see Fleet Defender uploads!
Special Heritage Flight ^^

@damsonn do you use the mods from pixelwings for the ocean texture movement?
@@phispooky This version does not supports it. The exe mod is for 2.0 and this is 1.2.
Gentleman, is the mentioned mod from Pixelwings still available anywhere? Or some other reality related mods for FD? Thanks in advance
