      You should probably be prepared to administer it if you have a kit. You should know how to use it before the time comes, not fumbling with your phone googling how to use it.

      Vanishing point needles retract into the housing after the plunger bottoms out, rendering the needle inoperable (and therefore incapable of being reused and potentially cross contaminating)

    one issue is that someone who has been administered this does is not able to get high again for some time, the naloxone saves their life, but its still in their system, blocking any new opiod... that person may then OD later on because they are trying to get high and using more than their usual dose

    Letting immigrants in by the THOUSANDS WHILE MENTAL HEALTH AND ADDICTION GO UNTREATED IN CANADA

    • @RainWave13
      @RainWave13 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Canada’s birth rate is so low we are actually dependent on immigration to meet job demands and to prevent our population from declining. I believe the latest birth rate estimate was less than 1.5 children. Part of the birth rate being so low is that housing is extremely unaffordable and child care and the general cost of living has risen so much it is difficult for even a middle class young couple to afford children, particularly as one parent may need to stop working since they can’t afford child care. Unfortunately, the mental health and addiction crisis is quite separate and immigrants are sadly just as vulnerable as any Canadian-born. Interestingly, looking at the statistics there are equal or more immigrants and children of immigrants working in healthcare, addiction services, social services, and mental health services than Canadian-born. We do in fact need immigration to fill the job roles that are tackling these issues. In provinces like Alberta in particular resources and funding for addiction and healthcare have been slashed to unreasonable amounts which has exacerbated the crisis. In many parts of Canada we also allow massive corporations to have massive tax cuts so that’s even less money going into things like mental health support and addiction.

      And what about those that get over prescribed by their trusted doctors??? I suggest never listening or taking prescribed medication no matter how severe the surgery or any medical diagnosis, just drink some tea, the pain will go away eventually 🤦🏾‍♀️Maybe you should listen to the opioid stories of those who didn’t ask to be drug addicts but became addicts from legally prescribed medications. Blame pharmaceutical companies that misled DR’s into believing their drugs were not addictive. Blame doctors who knew but didn’t care and over prescribed so they can fatten their pockets. I suggest you watch Dopesick on Hulu and Painkiller on Netflix 👌🏾 not everyone wakes up and decides today is the day I get addicted to drugs. 💃🏾🕺🏾🎉🤦🏾‍♀️
