from my point of view: snivilisation is among the best albums ever made. full stop. tripping, melodic, danceable, thoughtful. a soundtrack for a lifetime.
Out There Somewhere, Are We Here?, Spare Parts Express, The Girl With Sun In Her Head, Halcyon on + on and The Box(full version) are Absolute Masterpieces is History of Electronic Music.

This melody has been with me for a great part of my life, I absolutely love everything about the track. Thanks for making the world a better place Orbital!
Remember always when I first heard this, Glastonbury '94, MNE stage, saw Lucy, saw Bjork in a little pink dress, saw Lucy again then my mind was fully receptive and Orbital came on, and mind was changed, for the better, for ever
In 300 or 400 years, people will talk about Orbital like we talk about Mozart and Beethoven. They are a colossaly important part of the history of music.
Not all '90s dance music survives the test of time, but this one is still great. I used to have this on a tape that I got for free with Thrasher Magazine.
Please do this track a favour and listen to the full album version of 15:33 long. It is the whole incredible journey of this song. The single cuts off 3/4 of this amazing partnership of Orbital and Alison Goldfrapp and the percussion buildup.
there is classic rock, there is classic whatever... this is a CLASSIC regardless of genre, I am a death metal head, I love classical, I love electronica (tycho is soo my fave right now) but all in all... Orbital has made some just mind bending gems, this song incorporates so many genres and feelings... it emotes while being banging ! thank you p&p.. really
A big fan of Orbital, but also heavy metal. This particular track could sound awesome covered in the style of heavy metal. The key lead would clearly be a dist guitar, the breakbeats would be live thumping drums, and a dist on the bass could make this amazing. I challenge any garage band out there to make this happen. If you do it well, you might amaze us all.
If you squint your eyes the laundry will spin some beautiful colors. If you squint your eyes enough the colors will remind you of the stars. But then you'll wake up and itll be laundry. But for a moment, you saw the stars
Back in the day when people actually just had to sit and wait for their clothes to be washed lol instead of looking at their phones or laptops.... Ow yea, awesomeee track!
The Sandbox. Human Experience. There is nothing else to do anymore.I am just gonna find more super hot celebrities for later to go out on a date with them
hi Paul and Phil .. can i just say thanks for a life of listening to you 2 guys . since chime to present day ... but i thought i might say something . i have no complaints on what ever you guys do ..... but i traveled from Cornwall to Sheffield in 2019 . took 5 people to see you . the venue was ok but the beer was undrinkable and the sound quality from the speakers was so distorted if i didn't know the tunes i wouldn't of known it was you on stage .... my mates were a bit like we payed a lot of cash to not see much or hear very well and the drink i wouldnt tell you on the internet ,, i know you guys were on stage and it might of sounded ok there but on the floor was by far the worst thing ive ever heard , i still love ya ... but thought you probably didnt know . and how damaging it could be for your future fans . to go to such a place and hear the bad example of what is usually awsum .. cheers big fan max
Goldfrapp and Orbital were always a special team. She's the techno Liz Fraser!

For those just arriving here. You really need to listen to the 15 min original. It's 3 tracks into one and is simply breathtaking!
Yes it's a masterpiece.
Out There Somewhere, Are We Here?, Spare Parts Express, The Girl With Sun In Her Head, Halcyon on + on and The Box(full version) are Absolute Masterpieces is History of Electronic Music.
100% agree!
@@Hasuo2001You instantly got all the respect for loving Spare Parts Express. Under rated album too, but then there is my opinion. 😅

Ahhh, dream team. Existential angst, the Hartnoll bros and Alison Goldfrapp 💖
Literally can not wait to see them live again this year. Orbital been a huge part of my life
Orbital is fantastic live!!!
This is still better than 99% of all electronic music out there. Incredible work from a classic band.
Too right been into Orbital for 20years+. Had good times at Orbital gigs and I'm 50 next year and still loving it 😎
The brothers look they are recovering from the night before whilst they wait for the threads to be washed 😊
Everything Orbital makes is great.

I remember my first steps in UK during summer school back in '90ties.... Orbital helped me to survive hard moments...
Mmmm Alison Goldfrapp😊
Snivilisation.. One of my favourite albums ever. 👍
名曲中の名曲!
又、来日して欲しい…!!!

Also, damn P&P looked so young!!! I love it!
such a simple beautiful track. The Jungle genre led me to this track back in the mid 90's, then over 10 years later, I got into downtempo.
Ive always liked coming to this laundry.

More for than a decade I was not completely unware of the fact that the singer is indeed Alison Goldfrapp!
I just learned today! No wonder I was always a GF fan!
Alison Goldfrapp singing and in the vid, blue top grey trousers.
Really??!! Nobody else on the PLANET noticed/knew that!!! Ha ha. Great tune though huh, yogurt knitter?
The only downside to listening to this tune is that I can't make my volume any louder to enjoy it more!
One of Orbitals absolute best tracks ever!
Go buy it on vinyl and turn it up
Absolutely adore this track and Orbital.
Dear brothers Hartnoll...... you inspired me back in the early 90's big thanx for all the things you did and still do!!!!!
especially with alison goldfrapp
The track works *so much better* in its full length form. This blissful section needs to feel earned.
Just booked my ticket to see these guys in Belfast.
I think the mixes that have the questions at the start work so much better. The album got it right.
Phone alarm woke up me up yesterday with this song out of another thousand on my lifetime playlist and now I cannot stop listen to it .
In my humble opinion you need AT LEAST an 8 minute intro before you get to 'that' synth riff :-)
Agreed, dot!
Yes! And you need to go through that awesome "warning warning nuclear attack" part.
just play for instant good mood! 😌
Love, love, love this composition!!! Thank you Orbital for many years of enjoyment!!!
Здорово и вечно! 🤗
As soon as this starts, it makes one's head rock backward with the suprise electronica appreciation love that Orbital deliver.
Such a class song. Orbital ❤️
I remember
This is like everyday of my life.

Jonas Henriksson I love both as well
Yep same here raver and thrash metal head

Try "Christeen" by Devin Townsend. It's a nice mix of dreamy with hardcore.
I had this album
ahhhh the 90's
Agreed 🌟✨🙌
*MTV2*
They are using a breakbeat but they are using like a trance lead at the same time. This is a masterpiece and it's not even the full version.

If I squint enough I can see tomorrow lol
orbital kicks as always...now.
Underrated
Great idea! Eat mushrooms and watch your clothes spin at the laundromat. This is only one of about dozen remixes. I love this song in any form!
we are
fabolous
up there where only a few electronic tracks reach ☁
Are, are we here? Are we unique?
2020 - Are we here... FFS yes we really are
is there a higher quality version of this particular remix?
Maybe the most iconic MTV2 video, after of course Sabotage.
talkin to sid at the cloth-wash XD
this song was a part from the ''Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994'' alongside with The Prodigy's song
Orbital - Are we here? (30 something) (Dusky remix)
Back in the day when people actually just had to sit and wait for their clothes to be washed lol instead of looking at their phones or laptops....
Ow yea, awesomeee track!
Why did orbital stop making music like this?
Because they did it. It's been done. Time to move on rather than cheapen your work by constantly trying to rehash is.
They haven't. It's evolved.
Great like Cocteau Twins meets Drum and Bass before D&B became popular
Wasn't this at the peak of d&b's popularity?
💗👋👋👌
My favourite tune of errrmmm 1994? Was it or 1995?
Must be some of the first drum and base rhythms.
Psilocybin flashbacks in the laundromat...
The Sandbox. Human Experience. There is nothing else to do anymore.I am just gonna find more super hot celebrities for later to go out on a date with them
I'm near 100% sure that that is Paul and Phil Hartnoll, the Orbital band members.
James Rosen That's them alright 👍
Yeah, it is them. And they were able to double up here in making the video and getting their washing done at the same time.
Was that Moby on the bench?
Nah, he had hair in '94

The thumbnail for this is hilariously ridiculous.
Is the woman in the blue top the secret third member of Orbital?
Hi,it's Alison Goldfrapp...she cooperates with Orbital,but it's not a member...
Makes a change from picking my nose. Lol
I'm not!
You do not know what you talking .... :)
