(Disclaimer that I have yet to try this with crocheting around clothesline and that might change things, I'm about to give that a go now, but I crochet in the round a lot for other projects.) For anyone that might happen to come across this, there is a way to math out the increases when going in a spiral if that makes you more comfortable. If you start with six stitches before looping the rope, you want six increases in every round. Example: R1: 6sc R2: inc in each sc (12) R3: sc, inc around (18) R3: 2 sc, inc in next sc (24) R4: 3 sc, inc in next sc (30) R5: 4 sc, inc in next sc (36) And so on, with one more sc added to between your increases in each new round. If you want it to cup up like a basket, then stop doing increases and just do sc around to the height of the basket.
@@mamainastitch Are you kidding ME? I saved it already and am going to get some clothesline to make it. Would you have a problem if I made them and sold them in my Etsy shop? Is this your design? The reason I sell is because I got sick with epilepsy and had to stop working so I tried to figure out what I could do to help myself even a little. I'm thinking cats would like these too.
Hi. I have got off to a good start but I don’t know how to finish the back where a piece of rope is hanging out. Should I cut the end off and carefully neaten the end? Perhaps glue it into place or hand sew it into place? Do you gave a tutorial to show how this would be done? I am making a rug for my grandson and your tutorial has been a great help. Thank you
I'm sorry, I'm not sure I understand. Do you have to do more increases the more rounds you do or is the increase the same(2 sc, then 2 sc in the same stitch)? Thank you so much for another wonderful pattern!
Look like as it gets bigger, you are only going in each stitch once rather than twice in a stitch when you began. I'm I seeing this or am I mistaken; or should i continue twice in each stitch, but it's a great video.
Thanks so much! This is the best video. I found others too long and hard to understand. Just started a few minutes ago and already turning out great! Thanks!

AWESOME BLOSSOM
♥️🌷♥️
Thank you - this is a fantastic idea.!
These rugs could be used everywhere.😍
The best way I have found to figure out where to put increases, is to put an increase in each increase from the row before.
I really like this work
Super easy work and beautiful too
This cute it would help if you show how you finished!
What a great idea! I have to give this a try...thanks for sharing💕🙏💕
I love this it's so nice thank you for sharing. X

How do you cover the rope showing as you did the circle????
This is beautiful, thank yo very much for sharing it. My question is how to finish it? This is the first time I’m using clothes line.
Lovely

Thanks so much for the video I plan on making one for me and my mother
Hi! Does anyone here know how to finish this rug? Thanks!
This is really useful! I just want to make a meditation mat

I'm wondering the same thing.
Great idea. Thanks
This is a great idea! I love the color but my only question is what kind of yarn did you use for this project? Thanks
She said that if you want it absorbent to use cotton; however, she used yarn from her stash. Therefore, use whatever pleases you.
Am I doing 2 singles in each stitch or one single

I was looking at that too.
Wow - thanks for this!
Do you have a printable pattern available?
How much yarn
Thanks!
How long did it take you to finish your rug?
My cats always end up taking these over and I never get to use them as a rug lol.
I tried to make this, at first it was turning out well, now it's curling up. It won't lay flat.
Same. Did you figure out a solution?
Try more increases

Can this be machine washed & dried??
I don't see why not. They may take longer to dry. I am going to use 100% cotton clothes line.
It's starting to ruffle. What am I doing wrong? Is it because I changed from a smaller to larger hook?
I would think so Jessica.
Did you figure out how to keep it from ruffling? I've tried tried adding more stitches less stitches and it keeps ruffling no matter what I do
@@kimprice2172 I noticed that too. Yet no answer for that question is posted.
What size hook is being used please?
Size H or 5mm
Dónde encuentro las instrucciones de la bolsa verde?
This is so cool!!! Thanks for sharing. By chance are you jayda's mother-in-law?
💗🙏💗
I dont know what I'm doing wrong. I can't get this to work. Huge disappointment 😪
