My 60watt came with the nozzle creating 2 laser spots lolol.... which from past research on CO2 lasers meant that the laser was hitting the inside of the nozzle and had to do a complete alignment from tube to nozzle. After 40 years of Maintenance, it was a piece of cake for me and I found this to be a great learning experience and had no problem with doing the alignment at all. Plus following Rich "The Louisiana Hobby Guy," I was already prepared😜😀
Rich, I'm going to start calling you the Fire Fighter Laser Medic. First you put out fires about problems, and complaints about things that don't work, and you take the time to make videos on how to fix them. Second you know lasers inside and out, you know why their sick and what they need to fix them and make them all better. I told you it seem to be lacking in power and you said i need to adjust the mirrors. You were spot-on, i got them adjusted today and no power problem anymore. Call the fire dept this baby burns and cuts ASSUME. Thank you so much, and GOD BLESS
Mine came quite a bit out everywhere. I'm glad it did as it forced me right off the bat to get good at this. Cleaning the mirrors and lens along with mirror alignment is something you need to get comfortable with. Its scary paying all that money and then start messing with it but you must get good at it. Next important thing is doing a ramp test for focus. Once you have it dialed in its amazing how much better it works. One tip I can offer is when adjusting the mirrors and you are getting super frustrated, stop and take a breath. Start over at the beginning and adjust the mirror your having the most trouble with back to a zero start point ( usually mirror 2 ) don't keep playing after you have adjusted it all out of whack just start over. I wasted almost 2 hours until I just set mirror 2 and 3 back flat the it was very little from there. Don't be scared to adjust your nozzle head up or down if needed also. Once I got the beam from 2 to 3 where I wanted I just need to adjust the head to make it perfect. Can't stress enough how important it is to get these all correct to get the performance you expect from your new machine.
I’ve placed my order for the 60w 16”x24” and am being pro active by learning ins and outs of the machine. Thanks for the info and am excited about getting the laser
I would like to see a video of a machine that was way out of alignment. I received my 100 watt Monport and can not get the mirrors from 2 to 3 aligned.
Do you know which of the three screws on the front of the tube will lower the beam on mirror 1? I don't see a video from anyone explaining that well because everyone's first mirror usually looks great at the first pulse. I have a Monport 60w CO2.
Rich, I'm thinking about buying a k40 from monport with the lightburn board in it. Do you know if it will cut through 3mm of veg tan leather? I'm using a D1 20W and not impressed with what I'm getting. Thank, Wes
hello everyone. I have a problem with my Monport 40w. When I send the job, the laser does not fire and since I turn it on, laser signal off appears. When I press the test button it barely marks the wood. Does anyone know what this is due to? I must clarify that the machine is new
I just got my laser I’m having issues with the laser. It omits laser during test but will not omit during run. Very disappointed can you lend any advice.
I did this and out of the box the mirrors are horribly misaligned. It won't even fire on the second mirror. The manual has no instructions on which way to align the mirrors to correct it. It fires right into the center of the first one as expected, but it's not even hitting the second one. Where can I get help with this please?
Trying to align the laser and I get so close but then the brass screws are moved out on mirror 2 so that I can't move the mirror any more. Where can I get help? I have a photo of mirror 3 with the pulses lined up on top of each other like a snowman which is from 3 locations: far right, centered, and far left.
If you get a slice, multiple dots or a half moon shaped burn, try taking a shot with the nozzle off. Center that way and then fine tune with nozzle back on.

Hello! Feel free to reach out to support@monportlaser.com :)
How do I match up sections 2 & 3 on the 2nd mirror if they are off?

I get a half circle on the last step. How do you fix?

Great thanks
How do you adjust the tube

@@leeburess1813 Yes could I get that video as well. I was able to adjust right and left but how do you adjust up and down?
My Monport doesn’t have that type of laser head.
It is the upgrade.
If you run into any problems with your mirror alignment, please feel free to open a support ticket on our USA technical support website at: cofcc.com/
