This was... a really good list, even with Fates's absolutely stellar overall soundtrack. I really like every theme here (with two exceptions) and the two best tracks in the game are in this list as well (but why wouldn't they be)

I have a lot more, but in order to keep this comment from becoming an essay I'm cutting it short here. What are your personal favorite Fates themes?
My favorite is Dusk Falls. I finished Birthright and Revalation, then got bored of Conquest but I still loved the Conquest soundtrack. The dark tunes and choice of harder instraments sets a really good mood for the story and overall feel of the game.

Fire Emblem: Fates holds one of my top three favorite Soundtracks; coming from an unbiased enthusiast of music in all forms. I haven't yet played Conquest, but I cannot get over Birthright's iconic and masterful assortment of music; it must be one of - if not the best - in the franchise. And yet, as of writing this, i'm only half my way through the game.
Speaking of Hoshido, I recommend playing it on hard difficulty in addition to classic mode; playing on normal, I've only lost one unit through a mindless blunder. Hard difficulty should keep your thought process sharp, and you standing on your toes; rest assured, however, that careful thinking will mitigate the brokenness of your heart and that of your unit's.
If you're an *actual* fan of Fire Emblem, Fates will not disappoint you. If you think Fire Emblem is something that it is not or hope for it to be, you will undoubtably be disappointed.
If anyone sees this, feel free to reply and up-vote so everyone can be express their thoughts.
+Dreaded Knight Well, in personally being halfway through Birthright, I would agree that Hard/Classic has been the perfect difficulty so far as a moderate-hardcore fan of strategy games.
What if I've never played fire emblem before?
Brian Deisher I would play Birthright on normal difficulty, classic mode, in such a case. Conquest is going to be harder, but I'm personally against playing a Fire Emblem game on any difficulty easier than normal.
Brian Deisher Oh, and if you're referring to the quality of Fire Emblem: Fates, that tends to vary from person to person. Objectively, it's a great game with a few very minor issues, but you may think otherwise.
I just meant the difficulty you recommended. I hear permadeath is the way to play fire emblem, but is hard the best way to play it as a noob? I just came off steam world heist and loved that on normal.

Well, my personal additions would be Battle Map Nohr 5 (The trumpets...) and maybe Boss Battle C-1 (I just like the atmosphere it provides). Oh yeah, and you can't forget the really sad theme (disheartened, or something). On the other hand, these are some good choices - well done.
You mean Map Theme E3. Ever heard Map C1R? I think it beats Map C1 in terms of the sound, I just like that distorted music thingy.. idk. Give it a listen if you haven't already.

My favorites are Map C1; Boss Battle A2, Boss Battle B2; B3, E1, C2.. Map B3 and the one that plays when you have to fight against Hinoka.
Maybe I made it unclear, but I mean the boss :P C1, not the map. Though yeah, Map C1 and C1R are both very nice ~_~

There are many reasons why Fates will always be my favorite game, the soundtrack is one of them.

But it doesn't deserve the hate it gets from the Fire Emblem community.
@Wackaz - Arthur Wacker I love Fates aswell. Fates, unlike the other FE games is definatly in my top 5 of games (in general). Since Fates has the unique slice of life feel to it. Thanks to the "my castle supports".
About the hate: While there are people which truly dislike the game ( I can respect that). Mostly simply mindlessly follow the trend. Don't overestimate the gaming fanbase. They are simply the most idiotic and influancable people out there.
(And I'm not only talking about FE. I'm a HUGE AC fan, like many others. But most of the people who play those games, don't even understand the story xD. I can name examples if you like :P)

Objectivly speaking, Fates is an excellent game. Maybe even a masterpiece.
When objectivly judging a game, you have to look at the concept - excecution scheme.
There is no such thing as a bad concept. Even an overused concept (which Fates was NOT) cannot be bad. The excecution of a concept desides wether something is good or bad.
Fates excecuted it's concept (almost, since the...possible incest caused for an incosistency in tone) perfectly.
Wether you prefer the concept of Fates over another, or vice versa, is purely subjective.
A personal example:
I had to force myself to watch the first 50 eps of Gintama, since I did not like it. But I would NEVER call it a bad show. It's a masterpiece. It excecuted it's concept exquisitely. It's concept just isn't my cup of tea.
Would it be fair, to call it bad, because it wasn't like, for example, dragonball? No. Since it did not try to be dragonball.
PS:
The three Fates games, actually arn't three sepperate games. Yes, they are packaged sepperatly, and are sold sepperatly. But that, long story short, was the best financial choise for Intellegent System at the time.
But all in all, it's supposed to be, and is a set of one game.
To truly grasp Fire Emblem Fates, as Fire Emblem Fates, you have to judge them as one.

Mine as well! I'm such an introvert on my bus, but during school I'm bursting with energy. Usually songs like "A Dark Fall" "Alight" "Road Taken" and "End of All" I sometimes listen to extended.
When conquest starts playing ;-;.....
Just finished the game today (after several hours of trying due to me skipping a lot of enemies and fights - _ -), and I have to say, hearing Azura's Theme was absolutely perfect. It fit so well, and made the ending 100% better. Now it's time to buy Conquest, fail at trying to beat it, and then get Revelations soon after. Getting hyped!

I was extremely attached to those two... I almost died choosing conquest this morning.
Besides the pain of betraying my first family, I'm enjoying having a new story to play through! So damn hyped for Revelations though, it's going to be my favourite for sure.
Man... love this game. It's got a feel, which is like no other FE game.
It's slice of life style, my castlle, supports, truly made it more unique.
What sold me Fates as my favorite Fire Emblem by far is everything related to the gameplay, game design, level design, map design and enemy design. In my opinion, it's by far the best the series has to offer (I haven't played all of them yet).
And I will add that it has by far the best UI/UX design, a really good artistic direction, the best, again, imo, OST of the series.
It has lows, yeah (even though, I think less than people tend to say, because Dark Horse of a series oblige), but it has so many great points, and it tend to go unnoticed.
On that point, I also have a soft spot for a lot of design choices in the game, and I can understand why someone who isn't as sensitive to this kind of things as me may not like them as much, or dislike them.
I doubt we will get another great soundtrack like this in a long time. The reason it has so much music is that it was three seperate games and honestly if all fire emblem osts will be this great I wouldn't mind having three seperate games

Hm. I like it, but it seems kinda middling for Fates's OST. But that says more about the quality of Fates's soundtrack than Road Taken itself lol
1:02:25 this fight was a pain lol. First time I got to it I had to move at a snails pace with archers and mages behind my tanky units until about 2/3rds down in which I completely unloaded on the boss.

Fates: The worst story, but the best game design and some of the best OST in all of Fire Emblem
Actually, the overly-epic first song is not called ''Resolve''.
It's called ''Destiny, help us''.
I always use Resolve as my castle theme. Love it. Actually, I love the majority of songs in the game.... not so much the songs for the Revelations maps.
Glory/Ruin & Fantastical Feast
I love Fire Emblem, and the series in it's whole. I just wish the characters in Fates were more lovable (and if your choice with you know who actually mattered). Some characters just come and are like "Hey! Y/N sent me here to help you. I'll be glad to assist you even if I can't kill them." , and most characters just came without any backstory. For a big cast of characters, the characters should at least have some hint of backstory. Support somewhat deals with it, but barely touches on it. Like for an example, Peri. She came when (SPOILERS) Elise was hurt and in critical medical attention. She came all murderous and wanting to kill, and that was it. She accepted your agreement for not killing anyone, but other than that, SHE HAS NO OTHER IMPORTANT PART IN THE STORY. That's sad. The music is beyond astounding and beautiful. The castle thing was nice, but the invading and needing to fight a battle just for 1 point (YET YOU HAVE TONS OF THINGS TO UPGRADE) , was kinda disappointing for me. I still liked the feature though as it gave free things and better opportunities (like private quarters, liliths temple, etc.). The RNG was also ridiculous and was hard to get critical hits or even get a hit. I used Camilla against a lowered enemy, (In terms of weapon) and it didn't hit. She had a percent of 84. The other person had a percent of like 58. THEY HIT. I thought that was ridiculous. Everything else about the game is good though.
Well... at Fates, just LIKE MOST, if not every, other FE games. The mainstory mostly focusses on the maincharacter(s) and his/her journey. If you want backstory, you'll have to read the supports.
The characters of Fates are actually more likely (I'm saying likely, since in the end, liking someone is subjective) to be lovable than characters from other FE games.
Since unlike other FE games, Fates has a more unique style. With that I'm refering towards the my castle, slice of life style supports.
And these supports, besides the god tier music and refined Awakening gameplay, are what define Fates.
The mainstory, like I said before, mostly focussed on the Siblings, and world exploration.
Corrin was a sheltered, kind hearted kid, who wanted nothing more, but to see the world (prologue). And that, he got to do (during the rest), while also facing the problems of the war, and the fractured bond between his siblings.
And complaining about the dragonvain points seems like nitpicking tbh. Since, there weren't exactly that many things to uprgrade. In my personal opnion, there was just the right amount.
And when playing Fates, with some grinding for supports in between the mainstory, you should have no problem collecting these points. Since 1 skirmish battle, could take maybe 2 to 3 minutes to complete.

This game...i remember nerding on it on my 3DS since i was a child because of the online experience (my main route was Birthright until i got Revelation). :) I remember when i was going through a lot with M Corrin (yeah, i love more the M Corrin instead of F, even if now i use them both). Every skills that i bought, every grinding i did...so nostalgic. :D I wish i could go back...but i can't. Still a top 10 FE game, even if the story and Corrin, as the main leader, are not good (still love Corrin, since in Smash 3DS he was my secondary). Thanks to this game and Awakening, i entered the world of FE and made me see the incredible characters this series has, they aren't like the Super Mario characters, no, they are better! Better written, better story, better rappresentation, better everything! :D I so love FE characters (honorable mentions: Robin (both genders), Chrom, Lucina, Corrin (male), Scarlet, Ryoma, Alm, Celica, Byleth (both genders), Dimitri, Shez (female), Alear (both genders, more the M Alear), Alfred, Diamant)

It's a game that really grew on me. Sadly, it's widely missinterpreted.
A lot of the characters really grew one me, which is one of the many reasons why Fates definatly is in my top 5 games (in general)

Here are my thoughts on Fates that no one asked for:
Conquest: 8/10
-Fantastic gameplay
-Wonderfully designed (not to mention difficult) levels brought down by a few stages ruined by their gimmicks
-Boring, uninspired, disappointing story
-Mary Sue protagonist
-Fun and memorable (if a little bit one-note) characters
-Top tier soundtrack
Birthright: 7/10
-Still really solid gameplay, even if it is easy
-Still a boring, uninspired, disappointing story, still a Mary Sue protagonist
-Less exciting and memorable levels
-Mostly forgettable, uninteresting characters
-Really fresh aesthetics, classes, weapons, etc. that make the game exciting to go through
-Just as fantastic of a soundtrack
-Surprisingly fun to play despite its flaws
Revelation: 6/10
-Same great gameplay at the core
-Wonky, disappointing, nonsensical story that does at least have some unique stuff to mix it up
-Far too many levels brought down by shoving a gimmick down that throat that gets in the way of fun
-Despite being fairly similar to Birthright, I enjoyed it much less
-Had an interesting idea for a story that was poorly fleshed out and executed
-Soundtack still good

This is the definitive review of Fates that perfectly reflects upon how I feel about this game. Amazing gameplay, amazing soundtrack, good presentation, some fun and many bad characters and an absolutely terrible story. God I love this game

Your right and I hate it. The bundles are wasted on those scalpers and a letdown for us. If only there was more stock. That would make things easier for us and harder for scalpers.
I know this is 5 months old but, why buy the bundle? I bought the day it released in the U.S. and I simply bought it for 40bucks and then bought birthright and revelations digital edition. (still comes out to 80, Birthright/Conquest digital is only 20 if bought in game)
I was lucky enough to get it at a nintendo store, and I think it was pretty worth! The art book is really lovely, and having all 3 games on a fire emblem fates cartridge is really nice, plus the ds case as a bonus
