UP10TION, the boy group with 10 members, means to have attention to these 10 boys who will go to the peak of K-POP by elevating the mood of the public with their music and performances. But I also see a bit of your point. The level of dancing/choreo nowadays is way higher than how it was in 2007 per example. When I look back at 2PM's choreo or DBSK in the old days, it's laughable indeed. But no way that the kids nowadays are more talented. The rookies have a certain field in which they specialize like rap or dance, but then they cannot sing. Back in the day everybody in the band could sing and harmonize AND was good looking; dancing and rap were only secondary skills.
And about the government's help; I think you have the wrong idea about the role of Kpop in Korean society. Most Kpop events are funded by private enterprises even; on very few occasions are concerts funded by governmental organisations. The Korean government boasts only about K-dramas and movies. Kpop is widely seen as past time for school kids. It doesn't have the status that foreigners think it has in Korea.

UP10TION were too good for their time. That’s the only logical explanation for why they didn’t blow up because for all the groups I know of that debuted really early and aren’t popular now, they have the most potential and it hurts me the most to know that they didn’t get recognition for their amazing work. And I stan day6 so i know what it feels like to stan a group that doesn’t get their talent recognized. God, I love these boys so much and I hate that they have such a small following because they really are amazing and I’ll never stop saying that if this was released today, they’d make it so big

대중들이나 네티즌분들은 소문과 이 사람이 어떤 연예인에게 나쁜 짓을 했다더라~같은 뭐 이런 소문과 찌라시를 아주 좋아하죠.
정작 본인은 하지않았는데 본인이 아니라고해도 그런 누명이나 소문이나면 연예계에서 활동하기 어려워지는것은 여러분도 당연히 아시겠죠. 근데 잘 생각해보세요. 어떤 ㅁㅊ놈이 방송중에 카메라찍히고 있고 스태프도 다 있는앞에서 연예계에서 매장당할게 뻔한데 그런짓을 하겠습니까? 게다가 한참 잘나가고있고 뜨려고 하는와중에 (그 일 당시)데뷔2년밖에 안된 아이돌이 간댕이가 부어서 그런 일을 버리겠습니까? 그런 일을 하면 멤버와 소속사뿐만아니라 가장 본인한테 타격이 클것을 본인이 제일 잘 알텐데말이죠? 정작 해명글을 올려도 영상을 확대하여 접촉이있었다. 이게 어떻게 접촉을 안했다고 할수있냐며 믿어주지않았죠.
