Greetings from N.S Canada & about 10 years ago, i had 1 exactly like that & after awhile, i ON PURPOSE TRIED to destroy it & see how TOUGH it was !! I threw it at trees & the ground HARD countless times & it NEVER bowed, bended or broke !! Wasn't the sharpest knife BUT it was damn near bomb proof as you can get for a 50 knife. I plan on buying another 1 again soon. 👍💯💪
I didn't even know they still made this knife. My cousins and I all had one each 30 plus years ago when we were in boy scouts. Great little kit and we used the sling shot to hunt spruce hens back in Alaska.
I love both of your channels. As far as missing the slingshot, it's ok we all make mistakes. You found out what the prongs were that's a good thing. Keep up with the good work
This is such a cool survival knife, thank you so much for sharing. I really like the fact that it has the sling shot added to it, you actually could convert that sling shot to be able to shoot arrows so you would have no problem taking down some game to eat and keep yourself alive. Its not hard to make some really good arrows as long as you have a good sharp knife and with this item you are really getting 2 knives that could be sharpened to a razors edge. Great find and would make a very nice gift for birthdays, holidays or just to a friend to make their day....
WOW I can remember buying one of these in the 90s when I was a teen. They been out for years and many versions for different companies. Mine was by ancient warrior over here in UK. Mine was the jungle survival version, Sheath green and knife all black and blade coated black to. The little knife was cool. In my plastic holder for the slingshot it had insect repellent vile and and little ferro rod. Had a sharpening stone under the paracord on the sheath which may also be on you're knife. It is hidden well under it. For the price they are a good made knife and had lots of fun with mine in the woods when I was younger. Found it a while back in a bag of old knives and will if you like send you pictures of the 90s version. Enjoyed you're video as it brought back some good memories for me.
Thank you so much for showing us the great gift idea. I appreciate you thinking of those who cannot afford the real expensive knives. I hope your channel grows and you reach you success goal. Keep up the great work. R
After seeing your review, I purchased this set up for my 30 year old son for Christmas. We will have some fun setting it up the way he wants for his car kit. Rather than use the band for a slingshot, I think we will keep it for an elastic tournecut makes more sense. My remove the spring for room for a bic lighter...like that idea. I have some bleed stop and will add a couple of sutures into the kit too.
Great video. I might end up getting two of these as presents. I shared the video on FACEBOOK and also mentioned that you all huilt shelters. I am in the Houston Texas area but it looks like you are opening in Dallas. Welcome to Texas. The shelters are needed for the tornadoes in that region.
@@AtlasSurvivalShelters really? I was born and raised in the Houston area. Moved back to Pasadena when I got out of the Army in 1985. Keep up the great work and videos.
Maxam is actually pretty great it's definitely about doing medium to medium small tasks and not made for abuse people just lack understanding the concept of the knife and it is what it is and I don't recommend people disrespecting a good knife it's about knowing the knife taking care of the knife and not trying to break it it's definitely about being right from wrong and safety and not being used for evil it's for multiple to have different knives with just saying
Happy holidays love your videos keep up the fantastic work you do we will always support you everyday hope I'll get the prize you disurve this popularity!
Wish I had one but can't afford. No weapons for survival.$500 a month to live on. 2 boys should have also but can't do one never mind 3 ,😒. So worried we won't survive when time comes. Trying little by little to store long term food also, but no seal a meal or for jars. Looks really good to have though!!!! 😊 Thank you for trying to help everyone. God bless
$20 dollars ain't bad but just know that this is a knockoff of the Spanish made Aitor Jungle King 1 knife. Now THAT is a survival knife worth checking into.
I bought the original one at a gun show about twenty years ago it was better the sling shot elastic was super tight and would not slip off as long as you got just a little past the elbows the sling section was leather you had to tie the elastic to. The “harpoon/spear” knife had a shorter blade and the main knife was all black. It was one of the best knifes I have ever bought all the rest of it was pretty much the exact same as this one oh and under the para cord on the sheath there is a sharpening stone glued to the plastic sheath or at least on the old ones there was
Yeah your a big kid,I already saw you posted in the comment to another subscriber that it is for KIDS. The problem with those types of knives is the handle can break because its NOT fulltang, but I don't think a kid could break unless they were prying with it, I hope a kid wins it it would make there day.
👋 Hello It really does look like a cool knife. I Subscribed about 2 weeks ago. Thanks for the video. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. And all our friends here and there families. And please always remember to be grateful . Thanks
You should consider signing up for an Amazon affiliate account. Then you can link to all the cool stuff you show us and get a little share of the sales (might help offset the cost of your Amazon shopping addiction, which I'm also guilty of). I'm getting this knife and I've already bought those awesome TP tablets you reviewed last time. Anyway thanks for the great reviews and happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
It also did well on "survival on purpose"... The hollow grind looks extremely well executed, and the notion hollow grinds are fragile is completely wrong for chopping into wood at least (wood pinches away from the edge)...
Hey there. New to the channel and wanted yo say it's great, love what you do. Don't want the knife but will get a shelter when I can. Keep up the good cause.
The sling shot really set's the whole thing off. Very nice. I first seen you a few years ago on Doomsday Preppers. Amazing Bunkers being built by Atlas. Keep up the good work.
Morbid Mike I have this knife and wasn’t aware of the slingshot feature. When I opened the compartment and went to look at the sling shot it was all brown and fragile and broken. If this thing won’t stay good in my home without use how the hell will it keep in a survival situation?
If the slingshot tubing is real rubber or latex, it will quickly rot upon exposipure to air. Just buy a real slingshot replacement strap and put it in there if you want a sling shot.
Australia ,we have serious gun laws in this country which include bows and slingshots and handguns are all illegal and if you're caught with these especially a handgun you're looking at a decade in jail ,a slingshot would probably get you a huge fine and repeated offence would also be jail as it can be concealed
Yes once they were legal here but after we had a mass shooting here all weapons were banned only bolt action rifles and shotguns and bows are allowed now and even those you need special gun licences for them as for handguns you can have one if you are in a gun club but that weapon must not leave the rifle range (you can not take it home)and must he deassembled after use as for slingshotscthey were banned outright you can not even carry a knife on you concealed now you can have a pocket knife but it must be on a knife belt visible
Its a beautiful knife but the seller dont ship this knife in the philippines,i hope u can help me to avail that knife im willing to pay the price including shipping fee.

nuke fall out shelter. what thinness protects you and your family from gamma, x-ray, etc for lead, cement, dirt, iron. is it worth having more layers of protection?
This tool works, has so much adversity to it.You never know when your gonna need something extra.I almost bought one for ,$50,but just didn't have the money. But;if I had it,I would use it,sharpen my he blades, etc. I like the flare and trip wires.I could definitely use items like that and have been looking for that. Good video. I know it's past Christmas, but you have the tool I was looking for. P.s. do you also have micro military chord, very much looking....,
Nice looking knife definitely a good $20 knife. I am also into prepping and i would love to be able to get one of your bunkers but i don't think that you would be able to do one for me
I thank you for all time you spend on showing people how to be safe..
The Secondary knife is actually a Harpoon sorry I forgot to say that guys!
Yes sorry sir
And that cord wrapping is a proper material for tying it onto a split pole! Don't need paracord for that!
Greetings from N.S Canada & about 10 years ago, i had 1 exactly like that & after awhile, i ON PURPOSE TRIED to destroy it & see how TOUGH it was !!

This set up of knifes are way too cool. This gives me an idea on setting up my own for survival... thumbs up to ATLAS!
Add the marksman red tapered slingshot band to replace that cheap piece of surgical tubing. Would be a huge upgrade to it!
I didn't even know they still made this knife. My cousins and I all had one each 30 plus years ago when we were in boy scouts. Great little kit and we used the sling shot to hunt spruce hens back in Alaska.
Your enthusiasm is why I watch your videos, the compressed toilet paper show was fabulous.
I like how you are a regular guy and don't try to make your self out to be something else keep up the great work

Great video. I like that you didn't poo poo the knife. So many people will get an inexpensive knife, do a review, and just talk trash.
What a cool knife. Thx for taking the time to share this with us.
Please keep uploading videos like you have been. I’m so glad you’re uploading more than a few times a year now.

Just ordered this knife, looking forward to trying the slingshot. Thanks for the vid
Had one similar to that back in the 80's.
It's a very cool survival kit to start with survivaling or pack before a apocalypse.
