I’ma fan of Augustine. Not gonna front like I know who the others are. Not a big fan of everything Catholicism represents in the similar way I’m not a fan of everything western evangelicals represent. I’ve been to the Vatican. It’s beautiful. But I also love the movie Luther about the Protestant reformation. I’m obviously Protestant for the obvious reasons. Definitely a interesting convo tho.
@@RuslanKD absolutely man. And I definitely get it. It's interesting because my wife is Indian, from Kerala, India. So the history goes that Thomas, the Apostle, brought Christianity there. It remained untouched for several hundred years. Missionaries came to "evangelize" only to find that they were already practicing. Anyways, all that said, she's Catholic as well as I am. There are different rites and she belongs to Syro Malabar rite, from the time of Thomas the Apostle. Different expression than what you saw at the Vatican, but same core beliefs. Most people associate Catholicism with Western Christianity in a sense, but there's a lot of diversity out there. Thanks for commenting back!

I look to guys like you and other peeps in the "protestant" arena as practicing our faith more in line than we often are. I agree with everything in the vid, love hearing Foggie's easy to understand point of view. I think about God's rules as: I will follow God's advice on how to live, since God knows EVERYTHING about everything (how humans behave and interact, etc.). So all His ways followed perfectly solve and prevent all our problems and issues. Plus, He loves me a LOT, so of course He would tell us good advice/instruction that makes life better and more enjoyable. I love Him too, so I am more than willing to follow his instruction.

I’m not a hater I love all people. But he did not have a true life-changing experience with Jesus nor did he get baptized or receive the holy spirit. So where was the “become a new creature” change. I’m just saying. That is the problem. We are in a generation that does not check behind and get real evidence of peoples change by reading and looking at doctrine. They just tell us they know Jesus and we believe them SMH.
