数年前の博麗神社。幻想郷を守る巫女候補が３人。
先代巫女が選んだのは強い紫の娘。白玉楼の追憶の主が選んだのは利口な黄の娘。
そして八雲が選んだのは力なき黒の娘。
次代の巫女は誰になる。火花のように輝く共同生活。

I really Love Rin Satsukis expressions. Stings even Harder that she never was officially introduced, but scrapped altogether
No worries. At least she'll be living in fandom (she already has quite the number of fangames). And since EoSD can't be ported to Steam due to ZUN losing the source code that means a remake is in order if he ever wants to port it to Steam. Which means....we might still get a chance at getting Rin Satsuki back.

Jokes aside, this was, once again, a great animation! I really liked the inclusion of Rin Satsuki and Ex Rumia, wrapping it all up with a sort of "flashback" to when Reimu wasn't the hakurei shrine Maiden.
-also the fact that pc98-
-Reimu is a different entity-
-from the Windows Reimu-
It's part of the message that even though Reimu was the weakest of the 3 shrine maiden candidates. She had the bloodline power of the Hakurei while they didn't. Only she could succeed the previous shrine maiden.
It was just a flashback to everything purple Reimu did for her and that she didn't want to lose her so she awakened her yin yang orbs. =3

Great animation as always! It was really great to see the three mikos together, that was quite the unique approach to me. It's a great take on the different Touhou "eras"! Bonus points for remembering Rin !

I've always thought of them as two different people, but I didn't think of this~

@@ricardoheraldez8714 Honestly, ZUN's canon is quite messed up due to looking at their world from different points of view~
But I guess that's the whole point. It's up to us to interpret how Gensokyou is as a whole. Some see it as slice of life, others see it as dark and edgy.
@@jomo5800 you could say that a decade ago but nowdays we have plenty of official material that expands and explain a lot of things about the universe.
ZUN never had a solid idea of what to do with the first five games and he already said that the PC-98 era can be ignored and and EoSD consided a fresh start for the series so we should do just that
@@sylvierose2799 Even if he said that, something at the back of my head is telling me not to fully trust him despite being the creator. Not sure why, but might as well split my view on Gensokyou as a whole.
ZUN acknowledges and shows the dark side of Gensokyo with the comics and books, but doesn't let it take over into being a grim dystopia. So in the end, it's both, and that's one of the things I love about the canon.
