So for the guys who are thinking to research and try out this build. I researched everything in the new clone ~500k sp. But after that I suggest to researche drone and shield skills, as the damage in the video ~490. The damage of the build with the required skills ~370. After investing 500k so more I got to a number of 435dps. In t2 Abby’s yu are unkillable. Will update in a phew days when will try t3. (Written by almost a brand new player)
Sooo the update. It can run t3 without big problems, most of the waves are chill. Marshall’s and knights can be deal some problems, but still not too hard. The fit is approved. IT WORKS FOR T3. If yu are new to abyss just run 15-20 runs t2, then watch “abyss spawn priority” video from aceface to get more understanding on what is happening.
Yo man thanks for the relatively recent review. Was wondering if things still worked well. Wanted to give it test runs on the test server, but then it closed. Been delaying my plans ever since XD@@indarean9719

as an alpha clone, i was trying out this fit in my very first t3 run, and in my first ever run, i get an UNSTABLE LARGE CAP BATTERY MUTAPLASMID, it was worth around 300m, and it paid off the ship. thx for the fit :)
I stopped doing T3 filaments when I lost my Gila in a T2 just after CCP nefted alpha clones from using Medium T2 Drones and didn't not noticed the changes. I jumped into my Gila activated the filament and died in the first room because I could not lunch drones I didn't have enough DPS. I was able to tank all day buy not DPS and time to brake the room. my *SECOND* room in a t3 Abyss was a Concord Marshal with 2 cruisers and 1 fighter. While the cruisers and fighters did nothing, the Marshal hit me with about 600-800 damage every 8-ish seconds. with 60+ min passive resistances.
Doing Abyssals on a Gila as an alpha doesn't really feel cost effective. Some of the kill rooms (Skybreaker/Marshall) will definitely destroy the expensive ship and the loot isn't enough to make up for the fit cost.
I don't know if I look at it wrong. But every time I see a "cheap T something" it always alpha friendly. What about a cheap fit, but requires omega? So still cheap, but still better than a alpha ship.

Sir may i know the skill req for this build? Also to transition from gila to rattlesnake. Thats my goal ship. Any tips how to earn iks to be able to purchase this ship?
ooh sorry I dont have the skill list for the character i used in the video, he has trained more skills now. but what you could do is train skills to mimick the stats you see at 1:33 . Rattlesnake is nice, very good for L4 missions :D
Back in the days, I've transitioned to the rattle in two different toons. One was gallente, trained for the dominix (so drones, he had to learn missiles). The other was caldari, trained for the raven (so missiles, he had to learn drones). I saw not big difference, maybe the dominix was mildly superior, but that was before the torpedo changes. Still you have to refit to switch from short range (torpedoes) to long range (cruise), on the dominix you can carry a full volley of heavies (which I consider short range, I like to be close to my drones so I can recall & redeploy fast) and one of sentries (which I consider long range, they take a lot of damage and don't have the tracking to be deployed in the middle of a frigate/destroyer cloud). So I'd say go either way. Or, today you might be able to make more money with the gila itself, so you could stick with the gila. I doubt L4 missions pay more than high tier abyss. Also, consider that if you want to progress further into high end PvE, beyond L4 missions, the rattlesnake is not the best platform for incursions. Neither missiles nor drones are the weapons of choice there, at least, last time I've checked. E.g IIRC all marauders but the Golem were welcome, exactly for that reason. Machariels, Nightmares, Vindicators all welcome, Rattlesnakes not so much. In the PvE battleship field, right now, I'd go Apoc -> ApocNI -> Paladin for L4s. That means Amarr or Ammatar space missions, and armor tank. Not flexible at all in that regard (the Rattlesnake almost has no faction preferences when it comes to ratting). I believe some incursion communities might accept you in both the Apoc / ApocNI as starter fits, even I don't know if armor-tanked groups are still operational. Having strong shield skills (which maybe you have given the gila) helps since I believe shield tanked groups are more common. My understading is that Paladins are more than welcome, once you get into one. So basicly 95% of your training translates to incursions just fine. Once you've fitted T2 rigs on your starter BS, tho, you're kinda stuck with running incursions or with a subobtimal fit for your L4s. You're not going to switch to shield tanking sanshas, you're not going to shoot your lazers to the angel cartel either, and anyway incursion tanking is omni resist + buffer, no local rep, while missions tanking is targeted resists and reps. You'll have hardly any use for those T2 rigs, in mission running. That said if you fit your Apoc for incursions, and find a group that accepts you, after a few hours you made enough to buy you a second Apoc for L4s when you're off incursions, with different rigs of course. Mind you, if don't plan running incursions, you still go the Rattlesnake way, wonderful ship for L4s, even if your end goal should still be a marauder. If you change your mind later, some fleets might still accept your Rattlesnake. But most likely will require you to train for something very different (with lasers/hybrid large weapons).
@@TheMule71 if you use the micro jump drive on a domi you can launch sentries and control the range of the engagement. i was in a mission and did that, had to shave so i went and did it. by the time i got back the mission was almost done. its also really easy eventually for any hs missions. you grind the isk until you can afford the hull of the t1 bs you wanna fly and transition into a faction one from in each faction space you want to do missions in. you then haul your fit in a fast ship from area to area. easy way to not lose faction modules. the same strategy can be applied to incursions
@@matthowe2703 I did mention sentries. I've done my share of L4 missions, with dual cap-sharing rattlesnakes. And no, even with two of them you can't relay on sentries do thier thing unattended on some missions. You have to prioritize frigs or they'll close in eventually. The domi has a definite advantage when it comes to sentries (range and tracking) even over the DNI, still even gardes don't hit frigs under 25km. Frigs won't break your tank, but still they're annoying and I get rid of them first (with the rattlesnake, I use cruises top down and sentries bottom up). I don't like having wrecks next to me when I'm 100km away from warp-in. DPS-wise, usually mwd + heavies + torps is preferable if the tank holds. You clean a room faster than two mjd cycles. If the incoming DPS is high, mjd + sentries + cruises is the safest option for sure, but you need to wait 2 full cycles. On the topic of what to train first, raven mjd+cruises or domi mjd+sentries is almost the same, I've done both and didn't notice much difference. Both have pros and cons. Domi is generally superior, but with cruises you have perfect damage choice w/o compromising range, on the domi not all sentries are equal. The raven can deply a flight of light drones w/o compromizing the main dps output. Still rattlesnakes are a dead-end for high tier PvE in HS. Some incursion fleets may accept them but both drones and missile are inferior weapon systems when it comes to incursions.
@@TheMule71 the problem i have with people saying something can't be done is, in this situation, i have done it. yes you still have to pay attention to range but other than that its pretty easy to afk in a sentry/cruise rattle and i know it can be done cuz i do it. i may be an exception to the usual way people think about the rattle though
