Tolerance on the Shield Arms mags is tighter, meaning the occasional limp-wrist will cause a failure-to-feed. For those of us with a lot of trigger time, limp-wristing is very infrequent but it can still happen. I save my SA mags for the range and carry oem Glock mags (some with Hyve +2 extensions) for 100% reliability.
Both are solid edc options imo. For me, I will choose a G19 or G26 every day over the 43, 43x, or 48, simply due to the magazine compatibility and capacity regular and extended mags offer...they are everywhere. If I was new to pew pewing and making first purchases, the others might be a consideration and build a collection around them. Opetions are a good thing.
I totally agree. I carry both the 19 on the 26. I got rid of my 43 and I had a 42 which I really liked, but I had a coworker, looking for a small, low recoil carry gun so I sold it to him. I couldn’t stand the 43 and got rid of it. I’ve never owned a gun with so many issues, but I don’t think it was the platform as much as I think I got a lemon right out of the gate.

If you live (or carry) in a state with 10-round mag capacity, you might as well opt for the smaller G43X (or G48, if you want the extra barrel length and longer sight radius) over the G19 since you can't take advantage of the extra capacity.
Just so happens I have a G19 gen4, green. I too put the xs Big Dot sights on it. I have the 43X. I like them. I started carrying a gen3 G19 when they came to America. They are reliable. I shoot them well. I will not have a dot on my handguns. Yes, I can shoot fine without a red dot and no batteries to fail.
In NYC 15 round magazines are illegal, the 43x is the best CCW for its size. It’s affordable and reliable. A Glock 19 with only 10 rounds just isn’t worth carrying.,
Technically no mag capacity is illegal. Regardless it’s poor reasoning behind choosing a 19 or 43x. 19s are widely available with 10 rd mags and if you find yourself in a free state someday all you have to do is buy standard capacity.
@@slosubies4845 what is “extra capacity”? Who ever said they wished they had less ammunition during a gunfight? Show me an individual that shoots a 43x better than a 19. Been to ranges and department training all over the country and I have yet to see it.
I have both, they Both hold 15+1 . 43x carries better being shorter setting in truck , but doesn't have back strap add on's , for Me , I can't get My finger in the trigger guard as easily as the 19 . I found this slightly slower while in a training exercise class , the test was the instructor saying threat, then drawing and placing shots on target 15 ft out . I did pass but found that problem so I switched to the 19 for a better fit in hand . The Glock Factory Performance 4 lb. trigger has a cleaner crisper brake, shorter pull, quicker reset , much better trigger , accuracy immediate improvement over stock 😁. I haven't seen them for Slim Line yet , the 43x has the Glock DD connector link 3.5 lb. w/stock springs gives a 4 lb. brake , which is what I had in the 19 before I changed it out to the Factory Performance trigger which is still much better than the stock w/DD connector.
G19 for me. Single stacks for me are not very accurate, but they carry well...but i shoot ragged hole mag dumps with my G19 or 26. With my 42, 43, and other single stacks from other brands I've got nope ... I can't shoot singles well. But i have xxl/2xl glove size hands.
I EDC my G19 with a TLR7 most of the time, but my 43X MOS and 48 MOS make appearances as just as much. My 48 has an optic and light and my 43X I use on those days that are light carry for me.
Glock just makes ONE gun…available in many sizes, calibers and colors. They are very advanced cutting edge 1980’s technology. Maybe someday Glock will revolutionize the gun industry by offering a variation of the 43x with 15 rd factory magazines and factory steel sights. And, dare I say, a decent trigger. Crazy talk, I know.
Have both and carry the 43x with the shield arms s15 mags. Love them. Have had no issues out of them.
I might get the new shield arms mags at some point to give them another try. The last ones I had failed after a few hundred rounds

Size, ammunition capacity, and “recoil” don’t leave that part out. that’s important

I wanted to add, if not the 43x then the Glock 26 would be a good option for a 10 round pistol.
@@DaveJackalope Unless you can shoot the G19 better, why go for the bigger heavier gun for concealment if you can't take advantage of extra capacity?

They're great guns.
I have a G19 but want a G43X
They're great guns
If u have the 19 the 48 crosses over smooth
Just keep you G19, 43x isn’t worth it.
Recently purchased a G45 Gen 5 and really like it.
Wouldn’t this have been timely four or five years ago? Today it would be between the echelon or echelon4 or maybe nocturn f or c?
There's a lot of good guns out there.
Why would the Glock which everyone copied, be out dated?
I go between the G45,30, 19 and 43x. I can only carry 11 rounds anyway so that is not an issue for me.
All are great guns
If I am not carrying the Glock 19 gen 5, it is the 43x both with xs big dots. I am slim so the 19 prints more under a t shirt.
It's hard to go wrong with either of them.
Great video Bro i do agree i rather have the glock 19 than the 43x
Ammo capacity helps. Both are great guns. Happy new year Terry
@@BoomStickTactical I Agree Happy New Year to you my friend God bless
43x is probably the best all around pistol! Glock pistol that is!

unless you live in a mag restricted state there's no reason to have the 43x imo over having a 19 and/or 26
There are some people with smaller hands that grip the 43x better. Thanks for wacthing. Please subscribe and check out my other videos.
Oh snap the truth people don’t want to hear the 19 is way better.
Depends on which one you can shoot better. Thanks for watching. Please subscribe, check out my channel and visit my shop: boomsticktacticalgear.com/
