Fire FX - Addon for Resolume Arena

I can't get this to work. I'm in Resolume 7.18 and Fire Trace comes up in Effects menu, but I only get a black screen with opacity at 100%. I've tried it as a clip and as an effect. I'm sure I'll figure out what I'm doing wrong, but I don't see any fire.
