@@imightbebiased9311 Yes. Because he was using an engine, it did not matter what his first move was.
He was very likely to go on to beat Vishy.

If he played on, he could have flagged him!
@Frank Lincoln actually after the blowback he upped the donation to 50k usd

@@nicbentulan Because its disrespectful in a simul setting, I can see why someone outside of the chess world like Nikhil would make this mistake tho
@@nicbentulan Its annoying for the GM, I recently talked to someone else about this. Basically in an in person simul if Nikhil showed up with a laptop it would be funny because it would be obvious he was cheating and joking around. In a more anonymous setting it can be frustrating for a GM to play against a computer when he's supposed to be moving instantly against a 400. Spending energy to beat a computer is annoying and Anand flagged several comp cheaters in this simul. If it isn't an obvious joke then it becomes rude and very annoying for a gm who's trying to beat many players at once.
In a simul of 5 players 3 guys were using engine....all three of their ids are banned now....so basically Vishy was playing other 2 boards with engines while playing this game
Who are the other two?
@@piyushchamoli1066 sudeep and sajid both used engines
Whoa hoho... This is now crossing personal restrictions...to national borders. I thought nikhil's riches were major reason he thought right to cheat. Now it seems 2 others.
You got to wonder now... Out of 100 Indians how many would cheat against Anand? Still only 3? Or 60.
Here's the fun part, Anand won those 2 despite them using stockfish. Imagine losing with an engine at your side.
So he beat 2 ppl, beat stock fish twice and lost once. He is very strong and he could have even flagged this one.
Vishy was actually playing with three engines

Lmao next Harshad Mehta 🌚
Obviously, he cheated on other people's hard earned money too
That one's obvious, you can only become a billionare by cheating or inheriting billions that someone else cheated.
Very obviously, u cant become a billionaire without cheating.
The worst thing about this is not the cheating, but the fact that a man who has managed to become a billionaire was stupid enough to somehow think it would not be blindingly obvious that he cheated. An absolute textbook case of the Kruger-Dunnings right there. It also gives the lie to the myth that you have to be smart to be successful. In many cases, luck has far more to do with it.

Even a super GM like Hikaru who has a better record against Anand, gives him utmost respect and praises him constantly for being one of the best the game has ever seen. Knowing in full fact I'm his prime, Vishy was the better rounded player. That's Hikaru's good nature. And he required no validation from anyone.
But some pretentious billionaire thinks his money clears him to do anything to anyone he wants. For someone who probably had to work hard to achieve that success, it's a shame that he doesn't even know how to humble himself in front of a legend like Vishy. Cheating is one thing, but then offering a sorry not sorry apology tweet is downright disrespectful. And then rich people wonder why we hate them so much.
